Worst booking experience ever.
1) No customer care service,
2) no hotel contact details,
3) unusual rates which aren't even adhered by property owners.
4) Hotel properties turns out to be different than actual.
5) No true property names showcased.
Booking hotel rooms through AGODA.COM will give you a bad trip.

Your app is so mis leading that makes people harrash and demanded extra money after the payment... Your system is so poor that to add an adult also your company charges extra cash. That is also mis leading. I strongly suggest people to go to make my trip and some other site as this app will mislead u.
This is scammer company we full paid the hotel at Honolulu a day before our trip we never got anything on my email address or any phone number from the hotel! We have to call to cancel and still waiting for my money! Be carful is a scammer company
I was searching for a Test and Go hotel in Bangkok. The Alpha hotel came up as a Mega Deal, 75% discount for a rate of C$69 / night. I proceeded with this booking. I was charged C$239 instead!
I tried to contact Agoda customer service but there is no support email address. Their helpline is all automated with standard answers. I used their Price Guarantee form and submitted my request. The response I received was there was a change of price from $69 to $239. I was tricked and deceived with this Mega Deal. I wanted to cancel my booking, but they claim it's non-refundable. Agoda has to take responsibility for this trick played on customers.
If I could give this company a 0 star rating, I would. I made a reservation 13 days before my actual arrival date. Issues that followed:
1. The website does not notify users that a cancellation fee 81% applies when made within 13 days of arrival until AFTER the payment and reservation has been made. So essentially, you're stuck with the reservation.
2. I typed in one set of reservation dates, and when I reached the confirmation page, the dates were NOT the dates that I typed in.
3. When I tried to create an account to adjust the travel dates, I kept hitting errors preventing me from creating an account.
4. Unable to edit the reservation dates, I called the hotel - who told me that only the website could change the dates and hung up on me.
5. I immediately called Agoda after hearing from the hotel, and was told that they would reach out to the "supplier" to try to cancel the reservation but that it would take 24-48 hours to do so.
6. The "supplier" refuses to refund the full amount of the reservation fee.
This website cheats users by not providing adequate noticing PRIOR to order completion. DO NOT USE.

Booked a hotel in China, arrived 1am and told they do not axcept foreign guests, since most Chinese hotels don't I am left to sleep outside, thanks Agoda, great job, DO NOT USE THIS APP FOR CHINA, they clearly do not vet their client hotels properly, and of course can I complain? Of course not, service people unavailable complete BS, will avoid from now on.
I arrived at my hotel in Florida after flying and taking a cab to get to the hotel. Upon walking in I found out that my hotel reservation had been canceled by the by the hotel due to them requiring a two night stay. This was never relayed to me my reservation was never canceled through this site and I never received a refund. I was stuck with my children and no car and no hotel room. After being on hold for 40 minutes I finally spoke to somebody for them to tell me that I was wrong and that I had a reservation. Eventually I got credited my money but they did not offer to help me find a new hotel did not offer to compensate me for having to walk with my children until I found a new place for us to spend the night.
I set up a hotel reservation with agoda for Scottsdale Arizona. Received a confirmation email from them they took money from my account. Checked in to the hotel only to find out they did not have my reservation. Called agoda and had a bad connection (this happened every time I contacted them.) they said they would contact the hotel. They did but they had no rooms. I then ask Agoda where I was going to stay that night they had no help. Four hours later I found a room with out their help. I then had to find a room for the next three nights. I had to go 10 miles away and drive that distance everyday.
Do yourself a favor don't use this company.
Spoke with them 4 times, each time they guaranteed to fix the problem. They did not. Then they closed my ticket so I cannot speak to anyone about the problem. I'm out $300.
Booked my hotel a few days prior to my trip. Called the hotel because I had a few questions about late check-out. Hotel informs me I do not have a reservation, I go into my Agoda account to notice it was cancelled, I never received a cancellation form Agoda. Called customer service said it is not their fault it is on the hotel, Agoda two days later still has the hotel available with 4 rooms. In my opinion it is Agoda responsibility it it your website if there is a cancellation your employees should investigate and update your website not blame others it is your company, hotels do not own the website. I asked to talk to a supervisor was on hold for 45 minutes hung up called back and was told there is not a supervisor available. Do better Agoda
I got upcharged during the checkout process. Also, the hotel was misrepresented. It was under construction and my room was filthy. Bait and switch by Agoda, this site is not trustworthy.
Scam do not make reservations with them they make double reservation for me with only one confirmation mail after couple hours I received an cancellation mail ( I wasn't know that I have two reservation I only make one) so I loose 74$, during that time I try contact with customer service only a reboot answer no active human.

I canceled my hotel reservation because of covid, 19 Thailand banned her from traveling and an amount was taken. It is a scam company. I do not recommend working with it
My bad experience with Agoda when I booked for my friend 3nights 16january 2022 (for honey moon)and by mistake I don't give attention to choose couple/room coz before was automatically put 2adults, but this smarter want to take more money added option 1 solo (1persom/room only) so I booked by mistake solo so after I confirmed directly I informed them to change to couple room, meant update room only and I will pay the difference, but they don't answer immediately and after said we waiting hotel may be take 48hrs and them reason to cancel booking and get full amount coz my booking is refundable, I'm lucky coz I'm living here in Dubai and I contacted directly city seasons towers hotel and they helped me, so thanks for them... after that I used other application and extended 3nights extra... I never ever deal with Agoda again... so guys be careful... them customer service are very bad, and want only your money till with cheating...
The Hotel canceled my reservation and I don't have an option to get a refund or speak to anyone about it at agoda. The hotel can't refund bc I used a third party. I don't even get an option for my money to be used at a different hotel. Like I get nothing. The chat options don't even address this type of situation at all.
Jeopardised Cancellation Policy for the country with strict Covid entry requirements (PCR test before departure). It's impossible to cancel booking on time with no charge. If you got Covid-positive before departure no refund will be given for whole booking (not even 1st day)! Cancellation and Change Policy: If you fail to arrive or cancel the booking, no refund will be given.
When I informed the hotel about cancellation before check -in time Hotel front officer replied that it's up to my agreement with Agoda and I should contact Agoda directly. When I contacted Agoda customer service officer gave contradictory information that hotel doesnot want to give me any refund. Bad experience. I will never use Agoda service again and definitely won't recommend.

Don't trust this site. They don't stand behind their product. My event was canceled due to covid and they refused to cancel my hotel.

Answer: For me as well very bad experience with this site. The administrator failed to confirm my booking in the evening, claiming they could not see it in their system and stating that the reserved room was unavailable, despite all the correct booking information being provided. Instead, they offered me a different room. At 10 PM on December 31st, traveling with a child, I had no choice but to agree and pay again for the alternative room. I immediately reported the issue to Agoda for assistance. The room we were given was in an unacceptable condition: it was dirty, there were holes in the bathroom walls, and mold was visible. It was nowhere near the standard described in the booking. The following morning, a different administrator located my original booking and refunded the payment for the additional room. However, they falsely claimed that I had stayed in the room I originally booked. This is not true—the room I stayed in differed significantly from the description and photos provided at the time of booking. Despite providing all necessary evidence, Agoda has refused to support my complaint, stating that the hotel confirmed my booking, which does not address the poor service, the forced additional payment, or the unacceptable condition of the room. This experience demonstrates an appalling lack of customer care from both the hotel and Agoda. As a customer, I feel my rights were ignored, and no proper resolution was provided. I expect Agoda to take accountability and address this issue properly, as this level of service is completely unacceptable.
Answer: Well, you probably need to call the customer service online or send them email from Agoda to get a reply. I feel that it was in vain to look for any help or compensation once your reservation has been done. Even the you overlooked some tricky information, Agoda will completely ignore what you said and push the blame to the hotel/property or the users. That is how I feel after trying so sort our the issue. Once a mistake is made, we probably can only eat it. Never expect they will admit any misinformation on line.
