Afterpaya tried to take $10 of my money by saying my last payment was overdue and was rejected because there was no fund on my card... then I complained because that was not true, where the due date was until today my fund is still there... I tried complained to afterpay he said they could see my card was rejected, so I told them, send me screen shot or anything so i can make because a complaint directly to the bank, i told them i need an evidence for that,,, not just by word or bull$#*! but afterpay immediately silent and said you don't have to pay a late fee, I can provide proof of my bank statement, but they refuse to provide evidence with unclear reasons... then they increase my spending limit... it doesn't make any sense for me... if i can not pay on time, the spending limit should be decreased not increased,,, note to everyone if you use afterpay,,, they try to do miss your payment in purpose so they can take your money by saying insufficient fund on your card, which in this way they do not violate consumer law,,, very good trick,,, just becarefull guys,,, they ignored me now because they can not show me the evidence where i can show my evidence, they scare i used their evidence against them because they are liar..
No technical support. AfterPay worked fine in the beginning, then started trying to take out the FULL amount of the item I was trying to purchase In-Store. It was a large purchase and I had the credit in AfterPay - but even with the correct amount for first payment in two seperate accounts. They still tried to take out the full amount and declined for insufficient funds. When I tried to contact them they reiterated it was insufficient funds, which I gave them documentation to show it wasn't, then they said it must be an issue with my bank (which it wasn't as AfterPay still worked online) I was going round and round in circles. No technical support team and no matter how I tried to explain it they kept acting like I was speaking a foreign language. In the end I accepted I couldn't use Afterpay in store - after they did take a total amount of purchase out which I had to have refunded (where I then realised what was happening) and just stayed with using it online.
I've never had a late payment and currently have no orders left in afterpay. They upped my credit and when I went to use it a few days ago online - it was declined. No. Not doing this again. Dodgy as hell. Tried to close down the service and when I hit the "close account" button it then pretty much says "haha it's only a deactivation, we still have u on file and feel free to reactivate" Honestly. Avoid this mob as much as u can. You WILL get burnt

I placed an order on a merchant that uses afterpay. I was charged $177 instantly but the merchant claims the order did not go through even though i was charged by afterpay. I first contacted the merchant, they said they have no order from my account and to contact afterpay to refund me. I contacted afterpay and they refuse to refund me, they told me to contact the merchant. I provided afterpay documents of my conversation showing proof that i went to the merchant first and proof that there was no order on file and they still would not refund me...
Signed up at their site for an Amazon purchase. Ended up being charged full price for the item. Afterpay has No Customer Service, and does not care about what happens after gathering your financial info. Stay Away!
I purchased 2 items thru Amazon used Afterpay but their card was declined. So Amazon cancelled the order. A month later no refund of over $43.00 and no items. I keep getting the run around from Afterpay. Even got BBB involved and they still won't get me the refund.
Afterpay is withholding payment to small businesses! DO NOT USE, afterpay screws over the small guy!
They made me go through hoops and I paid off inky two orders I made early! Then they deny every order and tell me it's normal do not use these people!
After pay, don't give sh*t about the customer. I have made multiple purchases using this service. VERY BAD idea. Since 2022 my refunds have been pending. I only noticed this because of something else, and I was checking my bank transactions and realized that I had never gotten a refund from them. When I reached out, they told me that the vendor did not issue the refund. That's when I asked, so how did afterpay send me a refund confirmation? They did not answer, and what made it worse is that they are telling me they can't see all my refunds even though I have proof.

I will never use their service again, and I want my money.

Oh well, I've worked hard to improve my credit score and you still won't give me more than 100.00 in credit, so what good are you to me.?
I'm not recommending you to anyone and, am not giving any good reviews for your app. I had one payment 1 time be a day or two late on my 1st payment to u guys because I forgot about it, because it was the very 1st ever pmnt to a co. I had never used before. For that you took all my available credit, over 700.00 from me, and have not given me more than 100.00 since then.
If that's how you treat your customers, I don't need to use your services again.

Most ridiculous app ever. It's not just the app. It's Afterpay in general. I wish I could get people to quit using them. They gave me a spending limit. And that was fine. They had me spend an hour signing up. And that was fine…. But the fact that I was declined from everything I tried to purchase from each retailer? That's ridiculous. They kept sending me texts and emails. They would say come back and buy your items. Come back and use our app. I had to sit there and chat with an agent, which is not even live. And they said sorry that they had to make quick decisions on allowing my purchases…. One purchase was 88 dollars for 22 dollars a payment. I'd of paid it in two payments instead of 4…. But they still declined. My credit score is decent. Not horrible. I also have money in the bank. It's just hard times. Got bills to pay… and needed something for my kids… So yeah $#*! this crap and the horrible stuff I had to deal with. After you get declined it will tell you that you can still use Afterpay. Lol I signed up for Sezzle and got approved for 1000 dollar's almost instantly. I spent 200. That's it… Affirm will also help. Don't use this place

A refund was issued by Skechers to Afterpay on 01/26/23, since Afterpay is the original payment method listed for Order #*******. This was in the amount of $99.74.
I never received item ordered, but Afterpay got their money and refuse to even communicate back. Worst customer service ever.
I was declined from making a purchase with afterpay a long time ago claiming they needed to verify my account by sending n bank statements. I refused because wtf, let me buy my $#*!.
Recently really wanted to make a fat Vuori purchase, and afterpay was the only payment company option. Tried to jump thru their hoops and I sent in 4 STATEMENTS TO PROVE MY LAST 4 PURCHASES AND DRIVERS LICENSE.
It wasn't sufficient for them since my address on my license (issued 5 years ago) didn't match! As if people don't relocate. Had my name but noooo not good enough. They're a joke and I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. No one should be verifying my bank statements except a loan officer for a home.
I have purchased a massage chair from My deal and paid with afterpay. Item I paid and received was 99% wrong cheap item. After going back and forth with afterpay and Mydeal for months since August 2022 I still have the chair and my deal promises many times to be picked up but nothing happened till now and after pay said it's not their responsibility and pass my account to debtors. Do not recommend afterpay to anyone.
Afterpay will take your money same day, but if you were to get a refund from a product you have bought. It will take a week to process.
I absolutely love using Afterpay. I'm working on my Masters, hence not getting the highest paychecks. If I don't feel like paying full price upfront, it's nice to have a spread out option. I've ordered multiple things through Afterpay.
However, yesterday I had to contact them since I never received an email confirmation. They have absolutely no phone number listed. After telling them I've already contacted the merchant (twice), they said I still needed to contact to merchant, and wait 14 days for a response. Totally unacceptable. All I needed was a confirmation number.
So, I "cancelled" my order, but then got a call later on yesterday with the information I already requested. The order number, confirmation, everything.
Thus the first employee took the lazy route, didn't check on my concerns, and gave me a generic answer. This ultimately created more work for the employee that actually did her job, and retrieved the information.
However, they called me (so they obviously have a phone), but there was no way to call them back.
It was a mess that took all day, and countless emails. If they could set up their phones, it would be a much more efficient process for both customers and employees.
I placed 2 orders. One was returned and one was cancelled by the merchant. My issue has not been resolved! Its been a month! I will not pay until this has been resolved!
This company is literally stupid... The repeat the same question over and over until it's too late to fix a problem. Just horrible and really ignorant.
Answer: You can't it's impossible. There's no number, and they don't reply to emails in a timely manner. Says it takes 24-48 hrs. It's been 9 days do far. Still waiting for help

Answer: When afterpay DOES work, it VERY handy and helps out ALOT especially once you DO get to the MINT. As long as you don't have any issues or questions(which, there's USUALLY an issue with shipping or something that SAYS you can use afterpay or its ON afterpay, but you STILL can't purchase it with afterpay). Everything I HAVE received, was VERY GOOD quality.
