Many users express frustration over identity verification hurdles and lack of resolution for payment disputes, which has negatively impacted their credit scores. Overall, while the service has potential, its current execution leaves much to be desired, leading to a growing sentiment of dissatisfaction among users.

If my loan is for $1081. 66 payments 98.00 I returned a item that was over half my loan ($577.78). They still kept my same payments as if I took a loan for the original amount so my items left cost $338.33 I paid
$294.42 so far owe them still $239.47. Overage they received from me $196.56 which is based on my original loan. I am very very very confused the polite rep I called was Jose and he tried to help best he knew how. Still didn't have an answer for me. I will NEVER use this method of payment again. I was trying to find out why my payment wasn't based on the amount I actually used. Sent the item back twice at that. Smh
I have an account, I changed my number, now I'm not able to get into my account. I called customer service 10 times. They do not speak or understand English. All I needed is to change my number. Customer service could not help me. I couldn't change it online in the help center. So I'm stuck. I requested to close my account, they said they will but I will never be able to open another account with them. I couldn't use them anyway because they won't change my phone number. Who cares! They do terrible business! Thier customer service is the worst. I do not know how they stay in business. My advice, use a different company.
Just looking in app for possible electronic purchase at Best Buy got approved and just wanted to see what the payments would be. These fools took out the money in my account before I could commit to the purchase or not. Who charges a person for just looking to see if they want to make the purchase or not? These fools are fraudulent and I don't trust them. Deleting the account and app!
Ethics, morals and business acumen of this company is in the toilet. I am truly ashamed to say that I ever used them and I will never use them again. My credit was wrongly and adversely impacted and instead of them expeditiously resolving the issue on their end, I am having to write scathing reports of my experience with them, while in the midst of providing proof of the injustice to the credit bureau and BBB. Their customer service is less than stellar. The stockholders should be appalled. I, nor anyone I breathed a word to about this will ever do business with them again.
I opted for affirm to electronically deduct from my bank account the amount I owe affirm, each month. They after 2 or more auto payments were fine. Then affirm claimed the auto payment failed. And I am late. Straight up fraud on their part. I spend way too long trying to get the HELP dept. to actually help, but not 1 ( of the 6) reps had the ability to understand or think logically. I have print outs that show their was more than enough in my account to pay the $22.47, but affirm opted to not attempt to auto deduct, instead they said they did and it "failed" and refused to try again on the due date, so it looked like I am at fault. The website doesn't even work when I try and login. I need to file a complaint to save others from falling into this horrible scam.
I was notified in early June that I owed $$ for the purchase of books. I replied that I didn't purchase any books nor did I receive any books. They must have the wrong person. The emails continued so I thought it was a scam and I told them so. Then their story CHANGED and now it was for a Mint Mobile purchase. I use Mint Mobile service so I called them and asked. They said no, I never made a purchase and no, I owe them nothing. Their documents was sent to the next email notification which were coming from this company, Affirm. They have now put me in collections. I find that the loan was actually taken out from a bank in New Jersey called Cross River Bank. On February 13,2021 but I live in Missouri and just had my second Breast Cancer surgery on January 29,2021 so I was recuperating with drainage tubes etc. This company refuses to speak to me even though I have given them more than enough evidence to prove that I did not take out this loan I have been fighting for 2 and 1/2 months, gotten a police report, reported it on the Government site, my Credit Bureau and even notified the Attorney General of Missouri. Affirm is STILL holding me responsible for this debt. They are cold, conniving, crooks who wants $$$$ and they don't care who it hurts just so they get it.
Affirm has misleading info making it seem like your interest are set and if you make a full payment before the due date then no more interest's... wrong. I made a full payment to find out that 7 days later i still owe interest as the check had not been fully processed.
I used Affirm to make a purchase on Schwinn to get zero interest. Then found out the bike I purchased was too large for me. Schwinn told me to purchase bike from Amazon to get correct size. Schwinn then issued refund to Affirm. I waited till Affirm notified me that they had received the refund. Then tried to repurchase bike on Amazon but Affirm would not allow the purchase. Total incompetence, I am closing my account. Also there is no way to call them.
Not sure why I decided to finance a dining table but I did and then refused delivery because the table was so damaged. Company refunded the cost of table, but Affirm still billed me $157 just for the privelege of being approved for a loan. Never ever again. Just don't finance anything - at least not with them.
I used Affirm for a purchase that I usually use PayPal for. I never received information on adding a form of payment while I'm assuming they have information for autopay from PayPal. I receive a notice that my payment is due. I have a hard time getting answers. Then when I call to make a payment they tell me they only accept debit or checking. They would not take my credit card. I will never use them again!
They are reasonable you can't speak to anyone interest are ridiculous I won't be using affirm again I'll just stick with Afterpay or Klarna
I purchased a mattress from Leesa in December 2020. I was given a promotional opportunity to finance the mattress with 0% interest. This December would have fulfilled my 24-month agreement. I decided to pay it off early, only to learn that I had a remaining balance of over $1200. I am so angry right now I can't see straight. I would NEVER have financed with Affirm at a rate double what my credit cards are. Fool me once --- and I'll never use you again.
I had my computer hacked, I was able to fight them off and block them. But they got a loan through affirm before I blocked them. I told affirm immediately of this and they were suppose to fix it. Now I am getting emails asking for payments. Why yes, I want to use my hard earned money to pay some lazy hacker money for nothing even though you were suppose to stop that from occurring.!? If your this way with all your customers I'm surprised your still in business. I also reported them to the bbb and they have yet to respond. Fantastic company!
Please for gods sake don't use affirm! I am trying to dispute a canceled order for over 1800 dollars and they won't do $#*! but tell me to make my payments. I have clear evidence that the order was cancled and have contacted the merchant 20 times with no resolution. I now can't even get a response from affirm. I guess I just got robbed for 1800 bucks! Please don't get $#*!ed the way I have use pay pal you will never have a experience like me and many others have had.
They let me in to create the loan, but then when I wanted to check on the status I am told I have a different email and phone number and cannot login. I have been on hold for 2 hours, they are not going to answer the phone... I sent several emails to support stating I can't login, and they send back "Please login to see the reply to your message." WTF? I am trying to login just to pay the loan off early. I want nothing to do with a company with such terrible service...
No matter how many times I try to submit my photos, they keep rejecting them and there's no human being to talk to try and sort it out. They only need my photo because they don't seem to like my (entirely ACCURATE) answers to their "have you ever lived on any of these streets?" questions.
Thank goodness I can use PayPal to make my entirely unplanned for purchase, because at least THERE I don't have to submit a photo to some stupid facial recognition software just to prove I'm me. AND at least there if something goes wrong, I can still jump through some hoops and talk to a human to sort it out.
I was denied credit because I'm 41 years old and haven't had a mortgage in 4 years I'm sorry I own my house and a business. I'm mean damn my credit anit great but I bet if I was on welfare and getting help from the government they would give me credit
My Fiancé and I are planning to move into a New home and are trying to use affirm to complete our purchase it says it cannot verify our identity several times! We called over and over no help at all on top of that now they mixed our credit reports up! STAY AWAY Bunch of $#*!s who are not from this country.
Used once and now they are saying that I can't use them anymore because of reasons that I don't agree with this company I thank you for helping with one purchase however I will stick with Klarna that is we're I will be along my business :)
I recently took out a loan. I was given a 5k line of credit. I used about 2900 of it ordering a new computer. Financed for 6 months. So now I get to get my computer with a lot less stress for $100 in interest. They sent me a text notification 5 days before my autopay would be withdrawn. I decided to make an additional payment and was able to make that payment easily on their website.
Yes, it took about a month to get my product, but Affirm had nothing to do with that. Affirm allowed me to get an additional credit line so hopefully when I pay it off my credit score goes up even more. It's going to hopefully allow me to do the same thing with some other larger purchases in the future.
I have read many negative reviews and it seems like most of the negative reviews are people who do not understand how credit works. Affirm does not ship your product. Affirm does not prepare your order. They give money to the company you want to buy from so you can get the thing you want to buy with less stress on your finances in the near term.
So far Affirm has been a breeze to work with and I appreciate that I can now pay for my $3k PC and peripherals every month and have less stress,
Answer: On paper legit, sort of, but really a scam. They aren't even who you are financing with.
Answer: I had heard of the company because a friend actually knows the owner. Very sorry I did worst experience I have ever had.
Answer: It's not. They now also are charging large interest amounts. Don't use them.
Answer: Follow Walmart's lead... don't use them! Affirm makes everything complicated.
