I call customer service numerous of times to resolve this problem they promised me that someone will come out and no one has came out yet so now I decide to cancel the service they told me that I cannot cancel the service and I will continue to pay or I will be charged a $2,500 cancellation fee... I quess I'll see them n Court
Called to cancel account in my name and was on hold twice for 20 minutes each time and then the third time for 30 minutes. By then I was over it. I answered the same questions each time and advised the rep that I have already answered and to just cancel because my husband and I have switched. He then asked if he could speak to the decision maker. Seriously, they try to keep you as a customer by all means necessary including being nice nasty and keeping you on hold so that you'll just give up. The alarm system was never that great, remembering the time that the alarm was going off even after putting in the code and the rep laughed bc apparently it was funny to them. 17 years with ADT and I will never go back. Just to stay loyal I kept it, but it really is a relief to be done. Hold times are too long and they don't seem want to actually help. I know reps have a job to do but seems like you should be able to just cancel online or cancel without being asked a thousand questions by rude representative working from home eating their lunch. Disappointed but not surprised.
ADT is the most dihonest company I have ever deal with.
I requested service cancelation, on first call called they said is a around a $330 fee for early canceling, so I said good, a week later the bill was $115.20 for early canceling.
Today the bill is $2,586 not event they can explain why this amount and keep making things up to justified this amount. So I decided to restore the service because I dont have that amount of money and its easier to pay monthly enventho I wont use the service and I dont want my this on my credit record.
I reside in Augusta, GA and I have an ADT Alarm system with cameras and monitoring included. Biggest mistake the cameras do not record events in real time as advertised. Customer service is not helpful at all. I am also being charged undisclosed fees so the monthly rate keeps increasing but the system performance is inadequate. I am very disappointed with this system
Camers don't work, windward break sensors bulky and break or fall off everytime we open windows

My alarm has gone off twice and not one call from adt. I could be dead. The cameras are horrible. Service is really bad. The goof from safe haven set my entry and exits incorrectly and I can't change them because of the way it was set up & adt can't seem to help. It's just bad. I will never use them again.
We chose ADT and were told we have "Custom home" services. Ken Hipwell (sales rep) and Brandon (initial installer) were involved with our new install. A new keypad, glass break sensor, and exterior door sensor were missed. Key pad not functioning, and another will not charge. I have waited 5 weeks for a response. Called twice, gave verbal password and have spoken about my account. ADT (Antoinette H.) rep escalated to District Sales Rep (Peter M.). No response. Received a call today from ADT that I need to purchase a new battery for the BRAND NEW keypad (less than 2 months old). Noone from the company is calling. Called back today and ADT rep told me I have wrong verbal passcode and she cant discuss. Last 3 representatives spoke to me! Poor customer service! Would not recommend this company
I used ADT Security years ago to try and protect my home. The alarms kept going off for absolutely no reason whatsoever. The police would show up and threaten me with charging me service calls and violations for my alarms going off. The absolute worst company you could ever want to help try and protect your home and your family. Stay far away
Worst. Camera doesn't work, system doesn't connect to internet, horrible customer service, ETC!

ADT security when it comes to Billing Queries and your monthly statement will be hell for you.Socail media Consultants even will ask you if you want to cancel the the service without getting into the actual query and try to resolve your issue putting themselves in your shoes.
I have had ADT for several yrs now and have had problems from about 6 months in. Cameras do not work, replaced the doorbell cam several times. 9/10 times customer service was not helpful. This past May I was changing over my payment method and the customer service rep either decided to pay a family/friends account or put my information on another customers account bc my CC from May to July was charged over $600.00. I delt with ADT customer service via phone, messaging on the app and email. This took MANY hrs with it not being fixed. This is not to mention on the phone with my CC company and everyone I had to call to change up my auto bill pay. This was done TWICE! All ADT would say. Not sure what happened, we have no way to find out. BS! You are a security company and ALL CALLS ARE RECORDED! I have tried to cancel and they have yet to do so and continue to send me bills. When I call I am on hold for 30+ mins to either be told let me transfer you or I give up and hang up. This company is a scam!
ADT does not want to take accountability for their equipment. They are over priced, in my opinion, and even though you have a service contract they still charge a trip charge of $58 plus tax. I had a system that was contracted out through Defender over six years ago, and it malfunctioned, and they could not repair the equipment, and they suggested that I upgrade, and I did. I upgraded my doorbell from RIng to Google Nest doorbell also. What a mistake! The doorbell stopped working after six months, and I was told I had to go through Google Nest, which I was told they could not connect me to them. I was told the doorbell could be replaced for over $300. I had to contact the Attorney General, and I received my installment fee back, but it's a struggle each day to get the doorbell to work. It's always, "Retry" or "Video is not available." WHAT A PAIN! I miss RIng, which is a fraction of the cost, and no contract. Thumbs down to ADT!

Horrible service will not answer phone calls they send u to another country for you to work on your system when broken. Who would do THAT, only in the USA!
This is the worst company EVER! They provide equipment that doesn't work, make you pay for it and they are VERY rude. Save yourself money and time, get a camera system and monitor it yourself. ADT does NOT even come on time. Your house will be robbed if you go with ADT!
After 3 days of frustrations from dealing with 8 or more sales persons, customer service folks and 2 technicians that did not deliver I decided to JUST CANCEL OUT my account!
This strategy finally got me in touch with an ADT Manager named Keirra. This magnificent lady resolved my concerns and kept me as a customer. First, she LISTENED to all my concerns. She definitely ensured that I obtained customer satisfaction. (My rating is not inclusive of her expert services--She's a top notched manager!)
To mention several of my issues, hopefully, will motivate this business to focus upon consumer concerns.
**their frontline sales staff should have more knowledge of products they're selling
**the problems I encountered easily could have been solved had they listened rather than out talking me
**the technicians installed a system that failed to satisfy my original upgrade request (no fault of theirs, as they were executing the work order given to them)
As a retired navy telecommunications system expert of 20 years, it irkes me when I am "baffled and dazzled" with inexperienced, nontechnical sales people who should be better trained in understanding the concerns of consumers.
After observing this extreme level of inefficiency for 3 days, I was truly fed up to the point of closing an account that I've had for 8 1/2 years.
Again, THANKS TO A MANAGER NAMED Keirra, who saved the day.
I purchased3500 do Lars cameras the broke they made 2 appoimemts I left work earlier I lost money and time they never showed up I called again the lady must be a Hollywood academy award of acting and lies playing games about my husband passed away this B don't care at all second time ADT NEVER SHOWED UP! I spoke over 7 hours with different idiots who lie and asked for 2000$ in front can't wait to find another company! I recommend this place for my enemy
I called to upgrade my system since i had the same system for close to 15 years and wanted an upgrade. Since October 2022 started shopping around and received a quote that was never honored. Called again and long story short was frustrated after 4 proposals were emailed to me and no one would honor. Decided to cancel 11/2022 and go with a different provider. Up until now they are still charging me and sent to collections although i canceled. Been trying to call and confirm cancelation and they keep telling me no notes on our end that you canceled. Transferred from department to department and the wait time was hours and hours. Supervisors not helpful at all they're a joke and sacarstic to say the least. They found it amusing that i was so frustrated. Asked them to pull the recorded calls to see how many time i called for the same issue and they just said someone will call you back. It's the worse NEVER consider a company that treats the customers the way this company does. The reviews here say it all 1 star. I'd rate 0 if possible. I'm now dealing with collections thanks to ADT. Had my parents cancel their service for the same reason and ADT tried to charge more than what they pay monthly but due to my experience i called the bank to block ADT from future withdrawals. They are such a horrible company. I've never ever dealt with a company this bad in my life. Hence the reviews.
I had technical issues with my security cameras, I requested a technician to come out and fix them, ADT technical support representative informed me after I requested the fees of $59 to be waived, that he waived and no other fee will be charged for the service.
A technician comes out and conduct the service, then the next morning my credit card was charged for the amount of $314. When I called Att Technical Support and billing they refused to revise the charge and said it's a valid charge although it was never disclosed to me not if I gave authorization for this money to be charged to my credit card. This is a very unprofessional way and kind of shady way to do business if you have a choice choose any other company to protect your home and you feel safe with. This is my experience I do not recommend ADT to anyone
Free 30 day trial, no money down! Is a joke. Got my shipment and cameras where wrong.so the next bussiness day I woke up and found out they took $15.00 out of my bank. Stuff in box and not even set up. They said it's a equipment fee. So I ask them to come get the shipment. They said they don't do paper and it's all electronic. For label I waited 48 hours still no label. I am not going to library print it off or pay for this, I called fedex and refused shipping. They cam and got it next day and week later now, no money back and they can't find my account and it's none English speaking reps answering and I was transfer 5 different departments. Not worth it.
Answer: Difficult to reach them and even more difficult to reach someone who can assist accurately. A lot of billing hassles.
Answer: No $60 call out service charge anytime there are any issues including dying batteries.
