They do not stand by their word. The 6 month satisfaction money back guarantee is a joke and a big lie! I have been told by the sales rep and a manager they require 3 attempts to resolve any problems then the money back guarantee is an option. They have attempted 3 te to fix our system with no success and now will not stand behind their word. SURPRISE! Not to mention I have to take off work for their tech to come to my house and charge a service fee plus a trip free to work on their faulty equipment! ADT services has cost my family far more than what they are worth! Save your self the headache and stress and find another system to install.
I have been a loyal customer for nearly 10 years and the company has progressively gone down the tubes! Customer service is horrific, representatives have no idea what they are doing. You call in with a problem and wait times are 45 min-1 hour. A representative will tell you they are transferring you only to roll you back into a never ending automated system in which you just get lost. Read their responses to ALL the poor reviews. Lots of excuses and no real plan to improve customer service or quality of care. Don't waste your money! I will be cancelling soon!
ADT replaced my Dell doorbell camera outside 2 weeks ago I cannot get a hold of anyone at ADT so I can reset my password they've had me locked out for 2 weeks. They need to hire more people or I need to change my health security to another company
We have had ADT for a little over 2 years. Cameras and security sensors. Not long after the cameras were installed…. PROBLEMS. The tech guy didn't hook up the power. The sensor on our back sliding door continues to FALL OFF! We have called numerous times to get this issue resolved. No luck. My husband called today and was told we would have to pay to replace the sensor. He asked to speak with someone else and was on hold for over an hour without an answer. We also pay for a protection plan and they say the protection plan doesn't cover it. We had VIVINT before and they were AMAZING! Just say no to ADT!
This company is absolute garbage, would never want any one i know to have or think about getting ADT,
Girlfriends car got broken into and the system never notified anyone was IN OUR DRIVEWAY! Yet it picks up turkeys at night by my mailbox?

Now trying to cancel and am being told it will cost me almost $5,000 to cancel! Thats horrible
They want to finish paying for the service and systems for the 5 years, id under stand a few hundred but not 5k!? "pay us for a system youre not using" what a joke so pissed cant believe any company could ever do this to someone
No to mention ive had it for 4 months and have nothing but issues, ive had to leave work multiple times to reset the system to get working again.
DONT GET ADT! Better off with a gold fish looking over your house
Every time you call ADT there is a nasty person on the line waiting to be an idiot. There fees keep going up and the service is horrible. They treat Veterans and minorities particularly bad. Run don't walk from this company as I plan to do soon as possible.
Read your contract before you sing. If you sell the house, you are still responsible for the contract.
My mistake was that I did not read the contract.
ADT is not transparent with it's installation cost, monitoring cost or cancelation fees. They use fishing tactics like free visa gift cards to entice new customers into years long contracts. Beware that you will not receive the visa gift card because after you sign the contact, ADT will claim that they offset (or reduced) a portion of the cost of installation by the value of the gift card and therefore you will not receive a give card as promised. I should have done my research before signing up with this company. I learned the hard way. Please Please avoid ADT. Go with a trustworthy company and pay less for better service like Simplisafe, Vivint or Xfinity. Beware, review sites that list ADT as their #1 pick is actually a site operated by ADT. Bottom line, Avoid high cost, long contacts, 3 party vendors and poor customer service. Avoid ADT!
So I ordered ADT to my house and the guy who installed the parts said to me I would pay just 800 dollars for the parts but he forgot to tell me I would pay for 5 years the service and he said I could cancel when I want when I called the ADT customer service they said I would pay 2800 if I cancel so they lied to me. Now I have to be in this company for long time paying for nothing because they like to steal people. I hate this company so much please don't pay the service with them.
I have spent hours on hold listing to them say how they value my business and time. To this point I still have not been able to talk to a person and fix my system. Never again.
I been with ADT for several years. I was plato leave the company and was sold a lie to stay! They transfer you all over to avoid dealing with the problem. The representatives are and technicians are nice but overall ADT is a scam. They should be ashamed of their relationship with customers. I regret the fact I renewed with them
When a company locks you in for 3 years... RUN! Just the mechanics of ADT are pitiful and inconsistent. The camera works... sometimes. Why do I care if my next door neighbor drives out of the garage when I cannot get an activity reading of people approaching my home or in FRONT of my own garage? The real time camera works... sometimes. And Sometimes is the most frequent time next to not working at all. The quality of the sevice quickly degrades within the first year. I'm just going to let it fade and change companies when my contract is up because just to get a tech to talk to you... not fix anything... is upwards of $50. Warn your family and friends. RUN... don't walk... away from ADT.

We purchased an ADT system two years ago to protect my elderly Mom living in a 1 at floor apartment. She is aging and now needs to live with us we explained this to ADT when we had to cancel our services and they still charged me a 700 dollar contract fee. It's so sad since we were faithful customers and life happens. Don't be fooled by the low cost they get you in the end.
If I could rate a zero I would have. I had a security system with ADT for 2 years. After the first 6 months in went down hill. Cameras not capturing motion. Alarm was triggered twice and ADT didn't even call us. When we called them they said everything on their end was good it could have been a system glitch. Thank goodness it was not an emergency. After the 3rd triggered alarm with no notification or call from them I called to request a tech come out because the cameras were still not recording clips as well. I was on hold for over an hour. Requested a Friday appointment, received text that it was a Thursday from 8-12. I left work came home. No tech showed. Once 1pm came I called them was on hold for and hour, was told my appointment was cancelled by the tech stating customer cancelled. Which I did not and lost pay for this 5 hour window. I asked for higher level service manager was transferred 5xs before being put back into que for another 1 hour wait time. WARNING DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY HERE. Security system doesn't even work half the time.
In December of 2021 I received a price increase from ADT on my 10 year old alarm system. I called to contest it and they agreed to keep the rate at the old price for three years. However, subsequent bills were at the new higher rate. I continued to pay quarterly at the old agreed upon rate. Finally I called and they admitted they agreed to the lower rate but said they could not honor it and I would have to pay the higher rate. When I asked for a supervisor they disconnected me. When I called to cancel my service they again hung up on me. I received a survey about my call, and needless to say I responded negatively and received an email which I responded to asking for a supervisor to call me. Of course, no one called! If anyone thinks Comcast service is bad, ADT takes bad to a whole new level. Worst customer service I have ever experienced in my life. Corrupt way of operating and this is the first time I have ever been blatantly lied to by a major company of this size.
Purchased 4 wireless cameras one doesn't work. ADT not willing to solve problem or exchange a new one. Cameras has no night vision as claimed; no protection at night unless you have spot lights so cameras can see.
ADT monitoring system in my house was not working "system error" and no connection for 3 months. Called their customer service number several times to reset and repair their malfunction system. All efforts was abortive and they mailed bills to the house. The monitoring system turned off by one of their experts who came to the house and they still continue sending monthly bills. THE WORST COMPANY EVER!
When contract came to an end I called to cancel do to fact I wasn't happy with service and price. I called to cancel my contract and had to wait 30 days before canceled and pay one last prorated fee of which I understood and was ok with. The issue was they do not actually cancel when you call so when call 3 days after should have been canceled they tell you there was never a call showing you canceled and expect you to pay another 30 days and there is nothing they can or will do about it other then offer $20 discount for your inconvenience.
This is my second year into the contract with ADT. First year, no issues. This year has been a nightmare.
My cameras are constantly malfunctioning. Technicians have been out here twice. The cameras work for a couple of days and then they are off again. If you call, expect to be on hold for an average of 20 minutes. The chat is completely useless as the help they can provide is minimum. The email assistance is worthless, as they send basically a copy of what is in the troubleshoot section of their website.
If you need help, they will give you an appointment for a call with a technician, which can be several days down the road. In the meantime, you are still paying for no service. Today they told me, via email, that I can cancel but have to pay the reminder of the contract balance, even though they have not provided the service they were hired to.
This is the worst company I have dealt with.
Answer: Difficult to reach them and even more difficult to reach someone who can assist accurately. A lot of billing hassles.
Answer: No $60 call out service charge anytime there are any issues including dying batteries.
