I've been a loyal customer for over 10 years.my system was old and started having problems.it was supposed to be covered under a warranty but I was told I had to up grade the system at first it was 1,700 I wasn't happy with that price I asked for another quote and got four different prices finally got it down to 1,200 which was still crazy seeing how they wouldn't replace the sensors only the keypad.on top of that they raised my rate from 30.00 a month to 57.00 a month.I tried to cancel my adt before my 30 days where up and I couldn't get through to anyone.id ask for the supervisor and they kept hanging up on me. ADT used to be great now not so much and now I'm stuck with a 3year contract they the suckered me into.
I have had countless issues with the adt app and the system itself. When you can find someone to fix it they're usually very helpful. However, it can take hours to get to the right place to help you. I'm exhausted from dealing with this company. You would expect more considering their prices.
I stopped my service with ADT 4 months ago after about 6 years and spent over two hours on the phone trying to cancel my service. I kept been transferred from one department to another and after hours of waiting to resolve the issue, I hung up. I do not have a contract with you and do not owe you any money. You ought to know if you have an effective monitoring service, you'd know that my property is been monitored by a different provider. Your customer service team needs more training. I'll never use ADT service again.
Next available agent 45 minutes, then once you get someone, they "transfer" you, wait 20 minutes and get disconnected.

Tired of paying ADT for a service, so went with a more reasonable solution.
I have been trying now to cancel my contract for at least one day.
Tried *******598, number provided by MyADT app, after 40 minutes kept on hold, dialed *******727, same story as the previous number, went on the chat function of MyADT, was advised to use the following number *******909, a direct line according to the service agent, Kamira P., guess I need to charge my phone more, because I am still waiting. P.
DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH ADT. WORST DECISION I'VE EVER MADE.
I wish I could give this company 0 stars or less. If there's a problem with any of your equipment, they want YOU to fix it and they're hesitant to send out a tech. When they do send out a tech they want to charge you for every petty thing they do. They overcharge for their crappy equipment, the customer service is terrible (I sat on hold for 3 hours today), if you actually liked their service (yeah, right) and you're going to relocate, well you're going to have to sign a new agreement because you can't move their equipment from one house to another. They're terrible with people, talk to you like you're stupid when you're actually able to speak to someone, they overcharge, and their equipment messes up constantly - all that makes them undependable and the ONLY thing you want from an alarm company is dependability. Use your money for something better.
I have had this ADT system for less than a year. It's already malfunctioning. They want me to pay 60 that I don't have in order for a technician to come out and fix the issue. I tried to cancel and the lady on the phone said I could be charged up to 100% of payments up to the year 2024. I highly suggest you do not go to ADT and get stuck in their BS contracts.
Security cameras constantly timeout, and require a manual refresh. This makes them utterly useless for streaming cctv. What is even the point?
Forget about motion capture video. The sensitivity settings constantly fail and need to be reset. Useless.
Break-in sensors keep going off for no reason. One even went off on a window next to a TV we were all staring at. We shut off the alarm ASAP, and ADT still needs to call and interrogate us. No, the batteries are brand new. No, no one touched the window. No, we are not brainless idiots. Thanks for your condescending services.
Fire alarm went off for no reason, and we had to explain to the fire department why they don't need to kick down our door.
Constant advertisements flooding my emails. But it is getting troublesome dividing emails related to my account from their spam.
Door bell battery exploded. I replaced it myself after many difficulties trying to find such a non-standard battery.
I was so miserable after roughly 8 months, that I called in to end the service. They put me on hold for half an hour. The agent that took my call was apologetic for the rough time, but insisted that I try to stay on with them.
Look- STOP advertising stuff to me, and STOP trying to prolong the call hoping I will change my mind. I have already lost a significant amount of time, money, and brain cells to this service.
I have to pay the remaining balance for the 1-year contract. I was prepared for this, and accepted.
And now I cannot pay the bill. I go online to pay it, and it says I cannot submit a payment that exceeds the bill by $100. Well, my bill is $300, and if I try to pay $10, I get the same error message.
So what now, do I just sit here, unable to pay my bill? Is my account going to close, but the bill goes unpaid and I just get penalized here? Does this "pending payment" note mean that the charge is automatic? Is this nightmare never going to end?
Do I call or initiate chat with them, and wait another 30 minutes to an hour while they spit advertisements at me? I guess I am going to have to before they start making money off of me via shady late fees. I sure hope the charge is simply automatic, and is the reason why I cannot pay my final bill.
ADT has only been around for 148 years; maybe they just need more time to figure out how to not be complete scum bags.
My company has been with ADT for the last 21years but apparently when i tried to cancel my contract I'm still in a contract until 2025! I was not responsible for any call outs or service/equipment except for the back up battery, which i fully understand. But for the last 2 years they have tried to charge me for call outs replacement keypads (that have never worked since installed and still don't). I currently have an invoice for nearly $800 for substandard equipment. When you try to call ADT they're rude, speak over you and cut you off if you argue a good case. DO NOT USE ADT COMMERCIAL look elsewhere
ADT is worse company ever my alarm has been beeping 2 weeks cannot reach no one i ask in april to disconnect my service due to deaths of family members know ins. Aug without my request ADT start billing me again i called and called could not talk to no one2hrs holding phone, it's know way they have been monitoring my system because no battery in there for 4yrs but, they cont. To bill me. I paid to save my credit and requesting my money back. Oct 24-2022 alarm went off loud called ADT for them to test why system sound loud want stop I waited 1 hr 15min before someone answer. I ask why know called me. They could not stop alarm and she said she did not know what to do.it would be a week before someone come. I cannot go a week with my health with loud ALarm. She suggested to get someone to unplug Outlet I paid someone to help me glad i did outlet was hot and burned socket burned. They would not help me. Refund my money have not monitor my system inpossible no battery.my house was about to burn up with hot outlet. Please check your outlets to make sure they are monitoring you. I have been calling for 3 weeks hold time has been 2hrs and they come and hang up without talking. I even called customer service about why they added service back without my approval. They have set up for adt to call me back it took 2hrs for call back only to hang up when my turn. System keep waking me with know battery in it and they still want apply. I am wondering is this for att. General office and news station. Bill needs to go i did not request service again. I cannot con't to hold phone 2hrs and more i have health issues please help solve this. Thxx Peggy Hunter
I had their service {ADT) for over 7 years. And slowly but consistently it got worse. Ppl coming and not knowing how to fix my problem. But when I called to cancel? They called me real quick and Said now? They can fix it.I was livid. And asked why did I have to go thru all this? He had no answer. So I said no cancel me. And he asked again I said NO it's garbage. Cancel my account now! Well I had to call and literally wait 40 minutes to get someone that tells me their canceling me. But really? Didn't. I wouldn't use them if they were the only choice out there. The service went from good to absolute garbage in a few years.the only way to get their attention? Is to cancel! How ridiculous. Beware. Look at all the 1-Star reviews before considering these idiots. Good luck everyone.
Where to start... after 17 years of service under multiple properties from ADT, I can firmly attest to the continual degradation of their services. Waiting hours on hold and being passed from one technician to the next without resolution is common practice. Heaven forbid you have a technical or billing inquiry. Finally ending my service contract period, I still receive bills due to ADT representative failing to annotate ending services. DO NOT, let me repeat, DO NOT use their services. Just read the below reviews for overwhelming proof of their unethical practices.
Once they install your system-good luck getting any type of assistance by phone. Wait times exceed 1 hour and they always find a way to BLAME YOU for the problem. Remotes are your responsibility and getting appointment costs $59 no matter what the reason is for visit to your home. 10 more months and I am dropping this crappy service.
I wish The ADT CEO call for Troubleshooting and the machine will say: Your waiting time is 113 minutes. When you decide to wait, your call will be disconnected when you are close to the waiting time.
Stop doing more TV advertisings and hire more Tech Support Specialists.

We have been with Adt for a while now system started acting up front door bell We ask for help got it but support is very impatient with us sent us a new doorbell still doesn't work We ask if a tech could come out they told us no they have no service tech we can walk you through it well we tried over and over to no connection this is horrible paying this kind of money every month not to even get a tech to come out is ridiculous we don't know what else to do but cancel and move on sad because there camera are great and clear then most but that makes no difference if it doesn't work

ADT is a criminal enterprise and has/is perpetuating FRAUD on its Clients/Customers on a continuing basis with willful and intentional malice and extreme prejudice.
Referencing the plethora of comments below on this platform it remains clear and obvious that this venue goes beyond simple negligence and is actively engaging in continuing fraudulent activities.
By actively conspiring in and under breach of contracted services, this entity is open and libel under class action suit and status. It has opened itself to several counts including, but not limited to, tort damages to its clients and customers, and moreover, has further opened itself to several additional counts of treble damages owed to its customers who, by signing a legal contract, were blatantly and intentionally defrauded of the technology and/or services listed. It remains clear that the continuing technology failures compounded with a lack of due maintenance is and was a maliciously act. There is a common thread here that identifies a willful implied intention, that being to steal money and services from all its customer base. Further, this appears to be a prima facie willful act.
Additionally, they further mock the customers who write these reviews with their comic feedback with a common, "Oh no", or "we are terrible sorry" boilerplate BS. It would be humorous if it was not criminal. In response I remain committed and ready to provide a legal brief containing appropriate terms of art to address the issues identified by the herein listed comments on this platform.
After 20 yrs of good service, my recent experience has been dismal. Unable to contact a person after10 tries, even for alarm event. New customers beware…
I finally had someone here to fix it this morning, they left assuring me they had, and it proceeded to go off for several minutes and wouldn't allow me to disable it. I am a single working parent so I've now lost income over this, spent hours combined waiting on hold, missed children's events, cleaned up loads of puppy pee due to a panicky puppy, and had a visit from the fire dept. What was supposed to bring me peace of mind has totally disrupted my life. Apparently no one can disable my system for me remotely so I'm having my handyman do it, and because of predatory contract terms I'll be stuck with the remainder of the contract and paying more than I can afford for a service I can't use. The worst.
They lock you into no-escape contracts. The rate you pay is a joke. They are trained to negotiate whatever rate to keep your biz even if the next sucker is paying $69/Month, you might get it for $29 because you threaten to no re-new. When I tried to cancel, they wouldn't allow me to do online, I had to talk to a specific cancellation dept. I called and waited 40 mins before I hung up. Then called back and directed my call to the new customer line. They picked up in 2 mins, 32 sec. But OF COURSe they couldn't help so they sent me to "cancellation dept" where I waitined another 42 mins. Forget this company. Equipment was faulty and didn't work properly either.
Be aware of Adt they wanted to have me upgrade my system with 600.00 payment plus my monthly payment then they lied to me about various programs and I don't see how they stay in business they are terrible terrible
Answer: Difficult to reach them and even more difficult to reach someone who can assist accurately. A lot of billing hassles.
Answer: No $60 call out service charge anytime there are any issues including dying batteries.
Answer: Don't go with ADT, the worst company I've ever dealt with.
