Order shipped late and arrived late and damaged. When I called to see about a damage refund (it worked so I wanted to keep it) all they wanted to give me was $25 on a $900 order. They decided $50 was ok but I've been waiting on my refund for over a week now. Contacted them 5 times for this one refund and I just get the same "it's been requested and should be in your account in 2 days." Customer service lies to you just get you to hang up the phone. Currently waiting on a supervisor to call me back but I doubt that will happen.
I initially bought a set of speakers from Adorama, and when they got here, they didn't function as intended. Sent back, and had to fight to get a refund. Tried again with a different set of speakers and they arrived with missing components. And then the subwoofer that I had ordered was delayed by at least 3 weeks. Ridiculous. Pass

I wanted to give feedback on my experience with Adorama. I purchased a speed editor plus activation for Studio. The shipment didn't come with the activation so I reached out via messenger. The support staff there claimed it didn't include the activation in spite of the webpage clearly stating it did. This was after stating two conversations with his/her supervisor. I asked for a return/refund at Adorama's expense but the support staff said they could not do that. I then called and got feedback that they made an error and will try to fix it "call us back in a week". A week later they informed me the activation code was on backorder, call back in a week. A week later the activation code was still on backorder. I noted their website still showed Speed Editor and Activation code combo's, but in order to try and get started on Studio I asked they send a dongle to resolve my issue. They agreed to pass it up the chain and asked me to call back in a week. A week later, they again said it hasn't been resolved and call back in a week. I called back later that week (being near 28 days), issue still not resolved. I instead asked for a return and refund (my second request) which they agreed to, and I am hopeful to receive that refund.
Company was super anxious to send me call tags for 7 big cases of old photography equipment. They made it sound like they would look the wide variety of vintage equipment I sent them. Some cool old stuff some not. They contacted me and said they couldn't use anything. I had moved and couldn't take it back. They said they would give it to a school or something I said fine please send me a charitible receipt for taxes and they said no. So all gone and nothing to show. I would go with better business rating.
I had to sent the open box Nikon Teleconvertor to NIKON at my cost for mailing. The unit was so damaged that the rear cap could not be removed. Repair to Rear lens mount, Autofocu, Communication along with the lens element and cleaning were performed by Nikon under a one year warrenty. Adorma failed to call back on numerous occasions and sold the unit for 519 when a new was 559 and I had to pay over 35$ to mail to Nikon repair.

Can't say enough GREAT about Adorama. I purchased a nikon zoom lens through their used department and it was beyond expectations of the price I paid for it. My customer sales representative, Julio, was very helpful, patient and kind through the purchasing of this lens. It arrived quickly and safely through UPS. I always get good products with this company and the customer service is excellent!
These guys can't even send you a new undamaged 249.00 item. Dealing with them is not easy either. If I could give them a -0 I would. Take your money elsewhere.
Adorama.com sells items (in my case, a $500 camera) that are not in stock. They do not inform you before hand that it will be backordered and shipped when it becomes available. This is an unethical business practice. Other companies will inform buyers and put on their website: "Not in Stock" or "Pre-order Here."
Adorama posted a deal on a FLIR thermal monocular at 70% off retail. I placed my order and paid for 2 day UPS shipping. I am on a forum along with MULTIPLE other people who also placed the same order. After less than one day the sale was taken off, and the item was showing in stock back at the original MSRP. Once the orders started arriving, EVERY SINGLE ONE was reported to be opened, used, and completely defective. Some with old photos on them, some with missing components and batteries, some covered in mud, etc, but all of them were completely defective. Confirmed by FLIR themselves. Not one new item showed up. It is painfully clear to anyone looking, that Adorama had a bunch of used, defective, non-working units and priced them at a wildly discounted price point and marketed them as new. Then sold units that they knew were junk without disclosing it to the buyers. In this day and age, that's not only the worst possible business practice I can think of, it's entirely illegal. After contacting Adorama customer service and speaking with manager Jessie M, they have promised to overnight me a brand new unopened item of the same model, once UPS confirms receipt of my returned defective item. They also sent an email stating the specifics of that conversation so that I have it in writing. The new item showed up in the same used/defective condition. The sheer audacity of such a fraudulent business practice should be exposed to the public. I have screenshots, pictures, emails and prove of all of the above, which I have included with this complaint. Including the mass amount of other people who had the exact same experience.
Package shows up 4 days later than scheduled delivery. Box is beat up torn open and taped over by presumably ups. The package is missing the main item. Now adorama is telling me I have to wait for ups to finish their investigation before anything else can proceed. This may take up to ten days. THIS IS AN ISSUE BETWEEN ADORAMA AND UPS LEAVE ME OUT OF IT AND SEND ME WHAT I ORDERED. I have bought thousands of dollars worth of merchandise from this place in the last year alone and this is how I get treated.
Customer service is a joke. The first person I was e-mailing regurgitated the info on ups website over and over and over as I was trying to at least go pick up the package that was 3 days late at that time.
The second series of e-mail, the person never even read the actual issue and had no idea that I was missing an item after 7 hours of back and forth e-mails. This person wanted me to send back an EMPTY box.
This has been the most frustrating online purchase I have ever made.
I spent almost three thousand dollars on a camera that never arrived. I contacted customer service they informed me they would have to contact the shipper and start a claim. I was told once claim was I approved I would receive a refund or replacement. The claim was approved and I have not received a refund or replacement. They have not responded to emails. When I contact customer service they say someone will call me back which never happened. Do not shop here total scam. Stole money from both me and the shipper.
Very unsatisfactory and a nightmare of an experience. Would not recommend company or purchase anything from company again. Poor customer service and lack of truthful communication with customer on progress of claim. Purchased a camera and received a camera box with the camera missing. Reported immediately and took videos and pictures of package received. Customer service was called almost daily and the generic response of "we will contact you in 1-2 business days" was received but they did not call or attempt to contact customer back. The customer went to adorama in New York to address concerns and had to wait over 6 hours in lobby with no resolution. Customer had to wait Over 2 months before a refund and resolution was received. Customer had to get their bank involved and after the bank mentioned possible legal proceedings, a refund was made promptly. Customer had to pay $120 in shipping for this ordeal.
When you buy online, you dont know what you always get. The item was way more bulky than expected. Here is the problem. It did cost me $50 to ship it back to Adorama. They dont even provide you a shipping label, they could because they have preferred rates with UPS or Fedex but they dont. I called their CS twice... End of the story. DO NOT buy from a store that do NOT offer free returns OR at least provides you a return shipping label at a discounted cost... $50 out
My GF ordered a piece of music software from these people, and instead of getting a straightforward DOWNLOAD, for 2 weeks I've had to correspond via email, just to have them act like I'm speaking Greek. Sure, she saved $40, but the aggrevation is $10,000 worth. STAY AWAY!

I have paid for two items they sent me one and didnt send me the other one,. When I asked them why they sent me a proof of ups which was just a paper that they delivered and no real proof like amazon which gives you picture of item at your front door,. Then I was lucky that had camera record showing the person just has one package in his hand and not two, and send them this video to show they are just liars and they didnt respond to me at all!... Adorama is just a scammer and nothing else,. Never try drop shipping places like Adorama with zero responsibility,. Try to buy from Amazon which they take responsibility
I called this one guy today from Adorama the company and I got tansfered to this one guy and put me on hold. And then said he'd call back and so I got two calls and voicemails from him and he calls me now and was kind of aggressive. I was like off by it and he sounded adamant like hey we will hold this camera for you and he was like huh he sent you a label last week and I was like oh I thought he was sending it to me bc that what he said and I told him I lost my voice and he's like go ahead and we hung up. And I just have a bad feeling about it.

I ordered a Pelican case from here online, first of all an order that was placed with "expediated shipping", was sent by UPS GROUND! Took 10 days for me to get it instead of 1-3 business days.
Secondly, they send me the WRONG part! The Pelican box was missing the foams inside (as explicitly mentioned on the order details)!
I will never buy anything from them again and DO NOT RECOMMEND..
WARNING, WARNING! Very sorry to say that I ordered over $10,000 worth of photography equipment from Adorama's eBay Store front and they refused to issue reward points. Polly P. (Adorama Customer Service) stated the their Adorama eBay Store was a third party, not eligible for any reward points from the Company. Not a good way to treat their costumers to say the least!
