Unorganized. Disrespectful. Liars. Just hope that your item doesn't brake down, because if it does, they will give you the run-around for months. They act like their helplessness is your fault. What can you do with that? I wish I had an attorney in my pocket.
Don't rent from the Aaron's in Poughkeepsie. Poor customer service and management. I had a bed delivered today and they wanted to drop off three large boxes and said somebody else will come back to put it together. This was unacceptable. The workers said the manager took the tool kit out of the truck and they couldn't put it together. I had an appointment and could not wait any longer. I sent the bed back.

So, I was in dire need of a washer/dryer combo. Like most people, I didn't have the available cash to make a direct purchase from Lowe's or Home Depot.
I usually shy away from RTOs, but this was an emergency, since our set went out and we had piles of clothes as high as Everest. After searching, we decided to go with Aaron's.
We started our agreement online, paying the twenty-five dollar down payment. We picked a really nice GE set, but Aaron's didn't have the items in-store. We got a call that offered us an in-store set, but were told to come in and view the set to see if it's what we wanted. It was not, and we opted for the set we applied for online.
They drew up our agreement and told us it would be delivered in three days, and it was. No problems there. Payments were set up for the third of each month. But since the third was on Sunday, we knew it would be drafted on the soonest business date: Friday, March 1st.
I called the store to make a payment. My bill was $263--up $131 from the $142 on the in-store agreement. When I questioned the amount, the rep said it was because I had ordered TWO washer/dryer sets.
WHAT?! Who needs two washers and dryers? Aaron's was trying to bill me for the set I ordered online, also, as well as the in-store set. We got that square. The store rep then took my payment. I was happy; my bill was paid. I decided to check my balance to see what I had left, only to learn I'd made a double payment. I called Aaron's back immediately, alerted them of the discrepancy, and requested a refund of the overpayment.
I was told that the payment had been stopped and that the money would be refunded to my card, but it may be a few days. However, after the first few days, I still hadn't seen the money, so I called the store, but the store told me to call the bank. The bank said that only Aaron's would have the ETA, so I needed to check with them again.
When I called Aaron's, I was given an ETA of 7-10 business days. On the seventh day, I contacted corporate to see what could be done. At first, the corporate rep was helpful and told me to contact the store to see if they submitted a refund request. I called, but was told there was nothing on file. The store rep said they would "get right on it."
They did not.
After ten days, I contacted corporate again and somehow got the same rep. Only THIS time, instead of help, I got attitude. I called the store and told the store rep I still hadn't received the money. The store rep advised me that she would run it by her "manager" and he would call me back.
I'm still waiting...
The bank said that if Aaron's refuses to fix the problem, come to the nearest branch and they will start a payment dispute to recover the funds from Aaron's. I'm going tomorrow.
Only one more thing: Aaron's on North Main in High Point, NC has terrible customer service. Aaron's, itself, is a good RTO, and I have no complaints about the company overall. But that location's customer service has gone WAAAAAAAAAAAY downhill.
As a long time, customer have had five contracts with Arron's. I have paid off two of the contracts. The other three were short term needs and that's maybe the only good things is for. If you move and require something and it's only going to be temporary errands isn't that bad.
In the past I have had some short periods that required me to put off a payment for a couple of weeks, but payments were always made.
This time I found myself unemployed, and a month behind my payment but the last two months. By the end of the month, I am up-to-date.
Although I have been a very good customer, one would say a valued customer, I am being harassed about payment. Mind you it's always paid by the following month.
Now let's be frank, Aaron's isn't that the most economical way of buying furniture, by the time you're done with your contract, you have paid 2 to 3 times the overblown value of the item.
I think Aarons should be a little more understanding considering how the gouged their customers. I have a sofa loveseat contract with them now which I will be canceling soon. I am done with my affiliation with Aarons.
I bought a computer back in 2006 and it is now 2024 and still dealing with an interest occurred that is ten times more then the cost of the computer (which was paid off) then 6 years later get a lawsuit that I owe more money due to interest from a company called north star which balance was paid then six years later get another lawsuit from a jmmmpc x company claiming I owe an additional 2000 dollars and they take me to court and I try to fit it and have no legs to stand on because banks only keep copies of check for 10 years never buy from this company it cost me about 7500 for a computer that was worth maybe 700 when I purchased and returned it
They are to high on everything that they have in the stores. They do not believe in helping customers. And now, if a customer is just 1 day late on making a payment, they add late fees. They do not want to wave any late fees. And they won't. MY account is $88.00 monthly, & I was one day late, my total to pay, $ 99.17. One day late. They talk to you like they don't care or have problems. News flash Aaron's, everyone has problems. Work with your customers, not against us.
I called to do a 60.00 payment on my account, & the manager told me no & hung up. My account payment is 90.00 a month, so if I have the 60.00, which is over a half of a payment, he shouldn't have said no, & hung up. I will never do business with them again. That is not how you are supposed to do business with customers. My future business will be with RENT A CENTER. At least they know how to talk to customers & they really go out there way to help them.
My experience with Arrons shows how tacky and low unprofessional they are.my ordered was confirmed and 8 days later for two days the app said pending for delivery.so I called to check on the status and set a delivery time. To my surprise double talk and suden snow job. Sum itt up how can a order be available one minute and unavailable the next if it was ligit at all.
Do not do business with Arrons they treat you like $#*! and never accountable for actions they do or commitment made
The problem with Aarons is their lack of speed in getting orders to customers. You place your order online a week later it goes to the store a few days later they call to schedule delivery. I placed an order on Dec 23rd and as of January 4,2024, I'm still waiting for the call just to schedule the delivery. It doesn't matter if it's during the holidays there process is just too slow.
I had unforseen medical problems around a year ago had to let some stuff go back my medical bills were getting high. Just today I was told I had to take a chair even if I didn't want it I was told they bringing to my and said I had no choice but to keep the chair
They gave me a credit card number that I didn't give them and said it was mine and it wasn't true and tried to make me seem like it was my fault
Ordered a stove, mediocre, but decent install. It is like new having issues and was picked from Regency, who is their choice manufacturer who will only work through a dealer and not sell parts directly to owners. It had manufacturer defect and glass broke after 3 uses, said they would order parts never followed up. Mechanical door now failing and no call backs heading into winter with a new stove and a mechanical door that will not shut with less than 2 cords of wood burned through it. Ridiculous, I don't care attitude. Don't use Aarons Chimney. Technician showed up pretending there was issues with obsolete parts. Had to find the parts and replace myself. Had to repair broken door myself. Takes your money then don't care- avoid this shop. It is like dealing with children and a waste of time.
Ms.Heather Eve from store C0308 provided outstanding customer service...excellent hands on services...stayed after her work...my dearest compliments Thank you
I've been an AARON'S CUSTOMER since 2014.
I could never BUY what I need from NAME BRAND stores.
Because I'm always paying for
RENT, and BILLS.
Sometimes even
LIGHT or GAS.
That's usually 75% of my income.
And NO I don't WORK or ever have!
I get BENEFITS.
So anyway MONEY I have left is my CHOICE.
Not enough for something BRAND NEW like a LAPTOP.
But still good for things like SLING TV, SPECTRUM WI FI, also RENT TO OWN.
There are numerous products I have
RENTED to PAID IN FULL!
My current RENTAL is for a
50" 4K TV plus a QUEEN BED.
My OLD TWIN BED
Was past its USEFULLNESS.
PAYMENTS are on a 2 year plan.
That means over
$100 every month.
Not bad in my opinion.
Still leaves me with an $$$$ amount to SPEND
Or SAVE!
Rent a center and Buddy's lied to me about

Yes my name is Sue Lynn I am a long time customer with Aaron's used the store on 75th avenue and Thomas for many years have had many disappointing business with Israel I am glad that he is no longer there and the store is gone and the reason for this is because they were very unhappy at that store. Moving forward we have transferred to the Goodyear store in Goodyear. I am now extremely pleased with the store in Goodyear Juan and his people have been very kind generous and always puts a smile on our faces. They make it so easy to purchase new items and always call me how satisfied I am with the products and I always say I am very satisfied. I've been return to Juan store for further purchases. I can't be any more please with the store at Goodyear.I love love each and everyone there...God bless the entire store...I CAN NOT BE ANYMORE PLEASED...GIVE THEM ALL A HUGE KUDOS AND A RAISE
This company is easy to rent from but you really need to read the whole agreement in full. You pay so much more than what an item is worth. Example: We all know a Nintendo Switch retails fir $300+ tax but if you purchase from aarons you'll pay $59.00- $69.00 a month for 18 months end up paying between $1,000- $1,272 a month. This is a form of highway robbery. They take advantage of everyone. Also if you rent to own an appliance you're not only paying 6 times it's worth but the appliance normally stops working right after you've paid off. I fully recommend saving your money until you can pay for item's true worth
HORRIBLE SERVICE EVER. TWO WORKERS THAT CAME TO MY BESTIE AND HER FAMILIES HOUSE YO CHECK THEIR REFRIGERATOR PURPOSELY PUT ROACH INSIDE AND BLAMED THEM FOR THE ROACHES INSIDE OF THE REFRIGERATOR. THEN WHEN WE CALLED THE SERVICE LADY SHE HAD AN ATTITUDE. I SENSE NOTHING BUT HORRIBLE SERVICE AND RACISM. DO NOT EVER BUY FROM AARONS. AND ALL THIS AFTER GETTING TOLD THEY WOULD SEND OUT A NEW REFRIGERATOR. WHAT SOME SCAM ARTIST!
After I end this lease I'll never utilize them again. They're so annoying. Just save up and pay cash if you can.
