800Notes

800notes fumbled yet again and went offline, something they do to themselves often. Its great because its a troll haven anyway and unsuspecting victims are spared the bully treatment, at least for a short time.

I found the site is just fabricated complaints where most of the content comes from trolls, disgruntled unwanted call recipients and of course the bullies that run the site.

I have been using 800notes for several years. An excellent gauge to determine if that call you received is in fact a scam, robocall, or other nuisance call. While detailed information is not always available for a particular number, the site is still very useful, since a number that has more than just one or two complaints, is most likely a call you don't want to pick up! In several years of using 800 notes, I have noted only on very rare occasions of bullying and other improper behavior by other users, prompting me to believe that those who are posting these types of negative reviews here are likely associated with the scammers and/or other telemarketers that 800notes is designed to alert us to.

I found I was simply misunderstood about what I posted and that I was incorrect in my original assumptions. The site is in fact a good site and it is constantly harassed by a very persistant Troll, looking to cause any disruption for attention.
I am the author of 800NUTS and redesigned it to reflect the truth.

I made a report about a number and it was sent to moderation. I asked a question in the thread and a member answered it just fine.

There was a second member "Slim" and she badgered me, not reading or understanding what i was concerned about. After posting back and forth, she labeled me a troll, even though i was only posting replies to her replies. She started flagging my posts an putting them into moderation, then leaving her comment as the "last word".

I posted lots of numbers over the years and now i wont bother. There are plenty of sites people can get info on phone numbers, so i'll comment to them instead.

Trolling Bullying Wackadoodle Registered users BigA aka BigAss, TygerKat aka $#*!Cat, TheRealseriously aka TheRealStupid, Slim aka ImReallyFat, Ismellascam aka Ismellbad, & Heinz57 aka IgotfiredfromHeinz, & more... display behavior congruent with many of the diagnostic criteria for Narcissistic Personality Disorder. Characterized by a pervasive pattern of grandiosity and self-importance, need for admiration, and lack of empathy.

Disrespect, anger, hostility, arrogance & aggression (cyber bullying) is the domain of these registered uses with clear low self-esteem and a shame-prone persona.

These bullies attempt to gives away their shame by denigrating you and, as a result, they will make you experience shame about your own inadequacies. In other words, the bully makes himself a winner at your expense, forcing you to become the shame-ridden loser. They use this behavior as a way to feel good about themselves.

They "Provide No Value" to the site and quash usable information & bully people in an attempt to preserve their inflated egos. Most of the time their comments are assumptions, scoldings, as they never attempt to seek to understand.

Sadly there is no code of conduct and these users/Bullies are allow to behave badly while the Sites Admin ( maybe also someone with NPD) apparently supports theses priggish bullies and not the community of people that contribute positively to the betterment of the site.

The site no longer provides any real value -- it has become a site with little information to share and has become a place for NPD Wackadoodles to bully others. (see other reviews)

The famous government "Do Not Call" list only applies to legitimate businesses; criminal enterprises ignore it and use computers to call millions of phone numbers every year. If you are on the DNC list but continue to get criminal scammer and spam phone calls every week (like me), 800 Notes will be an invaluable tool for researching the numbers that call you. If I don't recognize the number, I do not pick up, as I don't want to advertise that my phone number is "live" and therefore get on a list, incurring yet more phony phone calls. 800 Notes is far and away the best site for researching these spam and scam phone on the internet. The one-star ratings you see on this review list is from spammers and scammers that 800 Notes has exposed and help put out of business.

Posted a complaint of repeated annoying calls from a certain political party. As a result of that post, I got a particularly nasty critique of my post by a very arrogant and insulting individual who probably is in dire need of psychiatric help.
When I offered a rebuttal to the troll, several other members of his gang jumped at the chance to 'try' to shame or embarrass me with their insults. When I fired back at their asinine comments, I guess they saw that they couldn't win/intimidate me; so, my comments were deleted and theirs remained.
One troll couldn't defend himself so he had to call on his gang to help him with his cause. Big brave losers and cowards - all of whom have no life!
It was once a useful site, now it's infested with the kind of vermin that make a site something to be avoided. Too bad the admins seem to support the trolls and not the legitimate users.

There is also Tamianth that trolls behind the scenes in a private forum called 800Auxillary. Its unknown if this Tamianth is also involved with 800Notes administration, but its a good bet. Mostly from 800Auxillary, Tamianth directs this gang of cyberbullys- CelticDragon, BigA, RustyMcNuggets to attack any comments their pinheads happen to come across, and cant understand or happen not to agree with.
Seems its more entertaining now to start a big fight there, day after day, hour after hour, instead of sharing pertinent info with other online sites. Way too many leads are derailed or misdirected from all the aggression coming from a select few. Everyone has an opinion, but does it need to be gang launched at every comment?!? Dont know how many times an ordinary person gets jumped on, because one of the ever present ankle biters gets their panties in a twist. Then it spreads to 800Auxillary where gang voting on their own redundant posts further alienates newcomers. Forbid newcomers, or anyone else ever tell the ankle biters where to shove it, and quickly become relegated to a dog pile on em status.

There are a number of "posters" on this site who are belligerent and aggressive to those who post here. Specifically - BigA, Qwerty, MidNYte. Storm, Tamianth, Slim, Gunnar, MJG, etc. are hateful and malicious! They seem to patrol this site on a regular basis to bash people who comment on calls they have received. They use this site as their own particular forum to belittle posters.

Be aware - they will bash you at the slightest provocation. You have been warned.

Please be careful reading any reviews! Often there are some people connected with the business or competitors of the business that are strongly biased one way or another. Ratings of one-star or five-stars should raise skepticism and be read carefully. I am writing this review in regards to one key objective. 8--notes allows people to check suspicious phone numbers against other complaints of telemarketers, scammers, etc. I use this site to determine if I want to block a number. I do NOT want to block legitimate organizations or others I want to hear from. This site clearly has enough followers to allow an intelligent person to make this determination. Great job 800notes! I support this act of defiance against scammers and those who wish to pray on others! This is a legitimate five stars you have earned here!

I always check this site before accepting or returning any phone calls from out of state and it has so far never been wrong. If only one comment though I do a search on the actual phone number to see what other sites that are not trying to get you to pay for reverse phone number lookup report. This method has served me very well.

I also use on my android smart phone the app "Call Filter" using the free version to screen out all anonymous calls and the telephone numbers in excess of the 100 my phone itself can screen out. Someday I may take the first 100 and add them to call filter, but the combination seems to work fine.

For the very few who get past Call Filter I create a contact and assign to both their number and a special group (just for double protection) a ring tone I made which is merely a 5 second recording of silence. People should have a right to be left alone after all. Rejected callers can leave a message but in practice few do so after the first couple of tries, but leaving that as an option is up to you. Call filter allows you to hang up on all not in your contact list phone numbers or rejected calls if you make that choice, but I would not do that unless you are a true recluse.

Be leery of these guys. Informational posts are deleted if they aren't slanted in the direction their admin wants them to go. I watched a handful of their members (screen-names Gunnar, Tred, Slim, amongst a few others) tell Veterans to throw away good refund checks while spreading misinformation. Don't just take this communities word as gospel is all I'm saying. Check elsewhere for info. These guys don't seem to be well informed and don't seem to have your best interest's at heart either.
