I am a cognative behavioral theraphy life coach practitioner. I also have some personal issues that I wanted to work through and thought I'd try 7 Cups. I am appalled at the interactions I had with people who have supposedly been trained to deal with folks who are having sometimes very, very serious mental health problems. They are dismissive and actually treat people so badly that, whether they realize it or not, they are making people worse not better. Of course, if people are paying for membership there I guess that might not be a bad thing for 7 Cups to keep people around. They are not professional, nor do they seemed to be even minimally trained to actually be able to effectively and appropriately interact with people who are trying to work through mental health issues. They also allow people who are quite young (teens) to hold positions of leadership when you can see by their responses to people with serious concerns that they have no idea how to handle anything like this.

If you really want to get better, be treated respectfully, and have a positive interaction with someone who is truly concerned about your well-being, stay away from 7 Cups!

I have been extremely depressed and unsure of where to turn following the unexpected and very traumatizing death of my brother. One night I was feeling very alone and desperate to talk to someone, so I searched Google for free support therapy websites and found 7 cups. I had the bot connect me with a person. The person I talked to was very rude and asked me questions that were not appropriate to my situation. STAY AWAY FROM THIS WEBSITE. You're better off calling a hotline if you are struggling - this website is garbage.

I love it! I've been through a lot and this really helped me through all of it! It's so amazing and I'm glad to be apart of the seven cups of tea community! I've been a listener for at least two years, it makes me feel great when I can sit there and feel like I can be helpful.

As a member, there were a few people that weren't very helpful otherwise I had no problems with it! So thank you 7 Cups, for being so amazing and I love your website and app!

It´s a site in which you can get emotional support, connect with a lot of awesome people, feel heard, supported, and grow! I invest my time there as much as I can. Wellness, self help, support and care is what defines this plattform. It cares about your wellbeing, and always works to improve your experience. I absolutely adore this. I would use it literally all day if I could. It basically is the support site, always available for you. I could go on about it forever, but, in short, it´s a m a z i n g!

I really like the 7 cups. I have learned a lot and I love helping people. There are things in the 7 cups that need to be improved. I'm sorry I'm small enough to you hear my opinion. But a great site where I met a lot of nice people. The community is very good. The 7 cups offer many options. There are problems everywhere, but if you come there with an open heart, you will find what you need. I am grateful to be a member of the 7 cups team.

Been a listener for three years and there are members who will connect and start sexual conversations, you calmly turn down and they block and instead of the admins following up, they suspend your account

As a member. The worst ever. One time I got connected to a listener and we talk about my issue which was bullying at work and she was like "am thirteen and I have never been bullied. How dumb are you" what annoyed me most was the fact that I was chatting with a 13 year old. I can't go back to 7 cups

I found that the community on 7 Cups is very toxic. Well, at least the community rooms. When it's just the one-on-one talking with a listener, then that's fine and quite helpful, but the community when it's just the community rooms are very toxic. I do get that they need to have those specific things because it's supposed to be helpful for everyone, but when people start telling you to just leave because they don't want hear what you have to say, that's when things start becoming toxic. I haven't had a bad experience with the listeners on here, it's the community. And I haven't even gotten to experience the actual therapists in here. You best believe that I am not going to be paying for a therapist online when I can just go to an actual one and probably get a better one and better advice and actually feel that I'm being heard.

Maybe just because I've never had anyone close that I've been able to talk through my difficult issues with, but my experience so far has been amazing! Being able to dump out all the bottled up emotions and worries has left me feeling clear headed and a sense of purposeful direction. The platform is really great and I think it can be very helpful for anyone going through life stresses. There are too many things now a days to stress about and too few healthy outlets for your emotions. Would definitely recommend trying out!

I'm grateful for the what seems to be a professional atmosphere of just belonging in that moment and connecting with someone who understands the struggles that one wrestles day in day out. Whether your job, a relationship, or just a bad day. I have found it to be true if someone cannot understand the level of your situation; the woman on the other line simply said" I having trouble understanding, let me get you with someone more experienced ". I'm Grateful for your services.

I've been trying to socially connect again and it seems to be working. Definitely recommend it
