7 Cups is a great platform to meet new people online. Whether it is because you have an issue you want to discuss with someone or you just want to make new friendships/relationships. I have found the community to be very friendly and non judgemental. You can talk about just about anything and there is always someone who has walked in your shoes and there to give you guidance if needed.
It is my "go to" place if I am having a bad day (or even my good days!) and I can debrief about anything and everything.
I have met some great people along my 7 Cups journey. I still chat with some of the very first members I initially chatted with when I joined a few years ago.
Highly recommended!
The community cultivated by this website is simply amazing. My first conversation helped me find someone just to talk to and the conversation was something I really needed. They even have other activities to foster mindfulness and smart goals. I want to volunteer and intern for the organization now, and I have only just started using it yesterday.
I am depressed this app is helping me to reach out to others it has people who talk to you and give advice. It has helped me and i know it will help you too just give it a try.
Well I as using that website since my childhood time like 2015 when I just join that so that is better website for using it and it would helps you get better move in life alright
The services that 7 cups provides, helps me feel better. The exercises they provide, and the people who are there for you truly help deal with whatever someone is going through.
I think 7 cups is honestly pretty nice, its a safe place where you can just talk about how your feeling and have a supportive listener to tell you that what your feeling is valid. <3
Especially if you don't have people around to share something you can always turn here to talk to someone and let your heart out, it works and its really good!
Two years ago, I was so devastated and broken from a breakup of a relationship that lasted for 4 years, and I didn't have any friends back then to listen and help me move on, so I started searching for places or websites where I can start to heal, and that's when I found 7cups. I start talking to listeners and I opened up to them about what happened to me, I found so many helpful people, and after a while I become a listener too, and it was an amazing experience seeing how much you can help by just listening. 7cups helped me heal
Seven Cups is an excellent resource when you need someone to talk to or want to be a listener for those in need! Furthermore, there is a wonderful community and growth paths to help us along our journey in life.
Last night I couldn't sleep and I was very anxious and I felt like someone was watching me. Then I tried online therapy and here we are. You aren't alone with seven cups you can get help. I seriously recommend.
My sister recommended this app and I'm so glad. I love talking to new people but im usually awkward in person and on calls. This is a perfect app. A dark mode would be nice though
I've felt a lot of anxiety and felt really down throughout college and when I have no one to talk to or I'm not able to share how I'm feeling with friends or family, talking to someone on 7 Cups really helps me get everything out in the open and see more clearly what I'm dealing with. It's obviously not an alternative to professional therapy but when you just want to be listened to, it's a great place to go. So many people on there care and will talk for as long as you need.
Its a place where you could pour in your heart... doing this doesnt make your situation better. True... but it starts making you feel a lot better about your situation... here u wont b judged... u would be listened carefully... many a times speaking out makes our poor heart feel a lot lighter
People are here for you and nothing will change that. Talk to someone who will listen to you people help others even if they are strangers. If someone feels down help them. I once felt sad but I managed and got through life with some help from others
This site is for teens and adults with illnesses or personal issues, they connect you to a random person you can vent to. There is rules. I have a few illnesses and found this very helpful I found many new healthy ways to cope. I recommend 13+, you can also get a licenced therapist through this site, It cost 120-200 dollars each month.
My personal experience after using the site during the last couple of weeks has been very positive. (I will detail that below.) However, I was struck by how it seems that everything is built on the labor of untrained, anonymous volunteers - and the potential for abuse built into that model. As many of the negative reviews here outline, the site seems plagued by a profit model that prioritizes engagement over safety. If this were a site about another topic, it wouldn't be such a concern. But it renders its users, those struggling with difficult emotional situations and mental health issues, extremely vulnerable to predation or dangerous interference when they open up about their problems.
I'm lucky that I am an adult with an understanding of what to watch out for and how such websites work. If I were younger, more naive or vulnerable, I see how I could easily get into a damaging situation through 7cups.
All that said - I have found the resources there to be extremely helpful for me. The first listener I was paired with has been kind and compassionate and given me some tools to cope with a difficult emotional situation. She and I have been communicating regularly and it's help my healing process. I have also found it uplifting to be a part of group chats where I can show the same compassion with others. There are many kind and good people volunteering their time there to help others.
Nevertheless, it is pretty clear that the site exists to extract data from vulnerable people and push them to use the for-profit text therapy on offer. The blurring of the profit driven side with the community building side strikes me as unethical. Also, the heartfelt negative reviews from others here confirms my worst suspicions about the motivations and outlooks of the site owners/administrators.
Overall, I think you can benefit from using the site, but approach it with caution. I hope that that they take the advice of the long term volunteers and but safeguards in place.
No judgmental listening mostly it's a positive experience, I hope the community remains like this and stay positive and bind people together so that they know that we are not alone.
The concept is good but the main problem is almost every listener here is a volunteer who is NOT trained(anyone can be a listener here) if u endup with a crappy listener, you'll regret coming here for support. My suggestion is dont let the bot connect you...
Browse for listeners and select a person available with good rank and reviews. That way, you'll get some support... if you let the bot connect, you might enf up with some crappy listeners
Remember that these listeners speak with a lot of people(so you can forget about continuing the conversation next time). My advice: do not depend toooo much on this website. Its ok to get support here once in a while but if u find yourself coming here often or want to purchase, please seek help somewhere else... this site is practically working just because of volunteers. So we cant expect to get proper support everytime we come here
Answer: It's a legit company! Definitely not a scam :) In my experience, I've been on as both a listener and member, it's not a scam. We're trained & take courses (as listeners) to best support members. Each listener is different, as is each member, so there may be bad experiences with one listener or vice versa. We have therapists we can ask for advice or refer people to as well.
Answer: I would suggest that any person seeking true authentic assistance NOT visit this site. It is unsafe, damaging and narcissistic and does NOT offer true help or support in any way
Answer: I would imagine that there are many other sites that are BETTER than 7cups
Answer: To send one-on-one messages, you should be able to just click on the text box and type in it. I find it's harder to use on mobile browser so if you're doing that, maybe try switching to desktop. Otherwise, I would just wait a minute or reload the page, it lags sometimes
Answer: You sure can! This is actually a very helpful feature on 7cups
