Was a member first and it helped me while connecting to different type of listeners, some might had a bad day but most did their best handling my situation at least someone listened to my problems.
The I decided to be a listener (volunteer), L I felt better helping other and will keep on doing so.

The listeners aren't trained for this and you should not take them as a legit therapist plus they don't get paid cause they volunteer, yet you can find certified therapist on this app.
Would highly recommend going to a therapist in you LOCAL, BUT it's a good place to have someone listen to your problems and give opinions / advice it's upto you to take it or leave it.
Remember, they doing this on free time.

I've gone onto the site both as a trained listener and a member. I work in mental health so I know how to actively listen and handle crisis situations via phone/chat because I do it for a living. The listener training is weak and the badge system confusing and weird - most listeners completely ignore the training anyway. I'd say your chances of getting a quality listener are less than 50%. As a listener, often the site doesn't alert me properly to new chats and often users don't respond either - at least half of my chats as a listener are with a user who simply doesn't respond. I might spend at least 25% of my time simply waiting for the user to come on/respond. Rather this is because the user is tired of waiting and leaves or there is a lag in the site connecting users to listeners, I do not know. The other 25% of users are perverted, looking for sex or simply bored and don't say much of anything. The 25% of the time I do have a quality connection with someone - either as a listener or member - is quite good. Not a bad site if you are willing to wait/sift through the chaff. Skip the paid therapy - tried it once - it wasn't worth the money at all. And if you're a listener, forget thinking you'll get any kind of quality mentorship via the site. You're pretty much on your own. That being said - it's not a terrible app/website/concept if you keep your expectations relatively low.

It's a great platform if you're looking for someone to listen to you and also if you're looking for therapy, would surely recommend it.

I'm a volunteer here for 7 years. Some of the people who came for help needed just someone to listen to a relatively minor issue, some of the members I've spoken with have been working through issues for years. The opportunity to help them has been wonderful for me. Highly recommended.

I work as a listener, and I can ensure you that I am so grateful I joined the community. Seeing people have a safe place to vent, and having qualified ‘listeners' to hear and support them- its just such a beautiful idea and I can imagine the amount of people who have benefited off this creation.

If you need someone to talk to whether it's something serious or just idle chatter you can download the app or log onto the website and there'll be someone for you to talk to. You can also make some great friends on the app.

This website is perfect for people that aren't feeling very well and also pefect for people that wan to help the people in trouble.

I'm still waiting on someone to talk to but the site is easy to navigate and I am easily able to find what I am looking for.

Blessing in disguise! Anyone can now talk about how they feel with no judgment and knowing that there is someone to listen to them and that everyone here has issues in their life and it's normal! So much positivity the website brings is wonderful! Should take a look even if you just want a friend to talk to!

This is an amazing app for people to talk and listen to each other. No one is judgmental here, it has been a very good experience for me being a listener for about 4 years on this site.

Cups is really amazing and quite helpful! I've been on that site for quite some time and trust me it's the best mental health support site ever!

This account is very helpful for me when I was struggling with my mental health. I became a listener and I found out that 7cups can help people who cannot pay for therapy or who just wants to make friends.

Good and free, many online therapies are good but they are paid but this online therapy is free which is good

Being a listener now has been a really amazing experience as well as being a previous member in the past. I think 7 Cups has really helped people and it's doing better everyday! However, as a listener, you can't always help everyone and you can't always come across members that are nice 24/7. That's expected but you always have the option to end a chat with a member and block the connection if you don't feel comfortable or if you don't want to continue the chat. Another thing, this is not a paid thing (i'm not complaining) and I know this is understandable and respectable, however, there might be some people that may see that as a disadvantage. I personally have had and am having a great experience with 7 Cups and will probably be a Listener for a lonnnnggg while :) Thank you to everyone who's made this possible in every way! Cheers xx

Well, to put it simply, there's none other like it. You can really tell that the founders built it with love and passion in their heart. And when something as substantial as that is the foundation, then the product is truly admirable. There's something for everyone, forums help newbies get acquainted with the website & mentors show listeners the ropes. There's an average waiting time of 1 minute, which isn't very long, quite quick if you ask me. Everyone is super helpful and respectful. I think it's a great website.

7Cups is a website, where You get emotional support, no matter what you're going through. It's helped me a lot, mentally and emotionally. I met a couple of new person's and it really feels good. Thanks to everyone who has Contributed to make 7Cups a Better place

7cups is such a wholesome, supportive, validating, understanding, and helpful community. I am honestly so grateful for every single person on there, for no matter what reason, they are making a change in this world. I'm so glad i found 7cups, and definitely won't be leaving it anytime soon :)
