Terrible customer service, nobody answers phone except for revenue issues. Owners and realtors have issues with inaccurate property information. They do not correct erroneous listings in reasonable time frame. The zestimate is misleading and only licensed property appraisers should be able to make this determination whereas their logarithmic formulas are not accurate and in many cases harm property owners and purchasers. They are political and use this to injure people who do not share their views. Feds need to break them up now.

Incompetent

These idiots could not even determine the value of our home. Why would anyone deal with a company that is clueless about real estate.

As a real estate marketplace, zillow has muscled itself into the consumers' "must-have" wishlist when it comes to buying or selling real estate.
Why is not completely clear to me as pro, as major issues plague the site:
1. Inaccurate pricing - the stats are scary
2. Inaccurate property details
3. The worst: ZERO response rate from customer service, to consumer and professional inquiries alike.
4. Lead generation methods make the inquiry form next to a property NOT go to the listing agent but a totally different "premier" paying agent. Worse: the "Call" button on zillows mobile app or page does not lead to the FSBO seller or listing agent, but again to a paying "premier" agent.
All this, folks, is to benefit only Zillow. And Realtors as well as consumers agree to it, every day. Baffling.

Submitted offer and earnest money on home (that was listed at market ie no discounted rate for any issues). Hired certified home inspector. He flagged that the foundation piers were a hazard and danger. Footing not filled with concrete, shims put in with added supports, supports used that would rust (direct contact w dirt) and... some at more than a 25% angle. He told us to run from it unless we wanted to sink (no pun intended) 20-30K into it... and we did... Zillow of course retaining the earnest. Mold was found as well.

The answer is a very clear NO! I signed up to be a Zillow Premier agent because of the continuous harassment of their sales guys. The calls just never stopped and eventually knowing I need more leads to provide to my agents I agreed to more than $2,000 a month. I made it very clear that I would not be the one fielding the calls and that they were to be routed to the agents on my team. Everything seemed great until they got my money and me to sign a contract. After that, no one cared anymore. It took them over two weeks to get my calls routed to my buyers agents. I had two weeks of missed opportunities because they didn't set things up right and they won't reimburse me for more than a half month of wasted leads. Again, I only signed up to provide more leads to my agents. I sell over 25 homes a year myself and 90% of those deals are online leads that I produce. I signed on with Zillow because I needed more leads for my the two new buyers agents, I couldn't handle anymore for myself. Zillow completely disappointed and they even admit to their mistake but wont compensate for it. Do not sign up with Zillow, they will take your money with zero accountability. They also compete against you in many ways. 1. They did not disclose that they actually cherry pick the best leads and buy or list those homes instead of giving the listings to their paying clients. 2. They leave under contract and sold properties on their website to generate more calls so that they can sell more zip code share to your direct competitors. They will tell you that your the last agent they can have in that zip code just so you sign up and months into your contract they will add 10 more agents reducing your leads significantly. Very deceptive! Trust me when i tell you this, I sell 90% of my homes from online leads and have been since 2005. Do not give Zillow any money, you will regret it!

To alleviate stress of moving and all the process steps; definitely contact Realtor Frank Ritucci. Through Zillow, Frank is enthusiastic, informative, and works with you from start to end with your purchasing process. Thanks Frank!

Zillow is a sham. Worthless as a real estate service. I've tried to use them for 3-4 months and its been a waste of time.

There is a new listing, a single family house mostly updated, freshly painted, and new appliances but still shows the previous photos at the time tenants lived at the property.
Those zestimate are terrible, far from reality.
So far I couldn't find anybody from Zillow to correct it.

We had a house for sale on Zillow and in one day the Zestimate on our lake home dropped by more than $200,000. Our inquiries for details were met with generic responses with no way to talk to a live person. The number of saves and calls we got on the house also dropped. Zillow's lack of concern and unwillingness to help cost us potential sales. We took the house off Zillow's website and won't use them again.

I type in single family homes and you are still showing me $#*!hole rentals and apartments. I have time to look but if I narrow the search I shouldn't have to. Simply put, you suck.

Tried to list our home. Instead got multiple calls and even had someone come out to buy our house for over 100k less than what its worth. Waste of time. They pretend to be helpful but in reality they are out to make money for themselves and RIP people off.

Let me just say for the record. I am a THREE TIME LOSER. I am writing this in hopes that you will not lose once.

I used this company several years ago. I got almost nothing of value out of it. As memory serves not one sale. I discontinued but went back to them in 2017 after closing a huge sale. This time I made one sale which basically allowed me to break even. And then this year--like an idiot... I went back for 700.00 month. This time they put me in a zip code I was not comfortable with but like an IDIOT I trusted them. I DID NOT GET ONE LEAD IN TWO MONTHS. They keep saying you have to give it a chance. How many cars do you have to get hit with or how many times must you smash your finger with a hammer to determine its not the highest and best use of your time?

These people are con artist. Its not that deep. I am ashamed that I did not know better--but now you know better. Beware. Pick up the phone, pay for post cards, get a part timer to call but dont flush it down the zillo toilet stool.

Fraud
May 4, 2019

I believe Zillow is committing fraud since litteraly days after I turned down their crazy offer to purchase my home, they lowered their estimated value of my home approx. $23,000. The market in my city is going up if anything currently so there is no way this is accurate.

As an agent in Vancouver, WA I made a video of my listing and tried posting it 3 times but the video would not post. The instructions seemed simple and the process looked easy but no video. So I called for help and got a disgruntled person who promised they would post for me, but no video. I emailed them and never got a reply. This happened 3 times.

I get the poor attitude and the bothered tone from the Zillow rep with each of my 3 calls. They deal with this daily. They know it will not work but they must say the same lies, "We will load this for you". When I email them that the video is still not loaded I get no replies.

Not good! The appraisal of my property was very low compared to realtor.com and trulia.com. And my professional appraisal. It was affecting the sale of my property!

Inaccurate
April 19, 2019

Zillow's estimate for the value of my home and property was grossly undervalued at only 59% of the asking price. They apparently didn't even consider the value of the 20 acres and all of the amenities on the property including a barn, equipment shed, three storage buildings, 600 ft. Of blacktop road leading to the house, pond, and $20,000 worth of property fencing. Zillow has no right to inacurately zestimate the value of property.

When I signed up Zillow promised me I would appear at the top of each listing.
I pay almost $2k a month! 2 mos into the contract they changed their format. Taking that away, putting the listing agent of the property in place of where 4 agents to choose from were located.
Problem is 90% of these agents don't even pay for Zillow leads! So you can click on their name/company directly and never see my name why... it is now located somewhere at the bottom of the page where no one will ever scroll to, past so much junk about 2 feet down if you were to measure it.

The other "change" they made is some listings ONLY show the listing agent PERIOD! You will never show up, even at the bottom of the abyss.

I hold the number 1 spot in two towns and I won't come up on any listing in those towns unless I actually have the home for sale?! What's the point? Are you kidding me?

You are collecting $10,200.00 for absolutely NOTHING! No exposure what-so-ever!
You can try this "system change" all you want but, at the end of my contract, I will never re-sign with you. You are completely destroying my chance at the Spring Market and the extra leads I should be picking up right now.

The point of having the exposure is people are visual... they like to see several agents. They like to have the ability to choose between working with a male/female. They like to see their stars/reviews, click on them.
They like to have the ability to say "I think this is the ideal looking agent for me", "this is a professional looking agent" etc... Instead you are not giving me the ability to collect any additional clicks only phone calls that come through you, which was also NOT part of my contract.

You also do NOT screen your calls. I get calls from actual agents, buyers that are working with agents already and that already have contracts. So, it's certainly not to cut down on that seeing that you have no screening process what-so-ever. I am so angry with Zillow and it's representation.

You told me that it will only be for a few weeks as "you are getting many calls from other agents saying they aren't happy about the change either". Do yourself a favor and make the switch back NOW before you anger too many clients! Realtor.com is just a phone call away!

My house address changed and the "Help" from Zillow was a total joke. It's like the girl never read my email. She changed someone else's house to mine and I had to email her back and tell her to correct it. I regret doing that now. She doesn't have the knowledge to set up a site for my address so just wrote me back saying they can't do that. Ok, thank you for not being educated enough to serve rural communities where addresses have to be corrected very frequently and then blow me off and say too bad for you. HIGHLY UNPROFESSIONAL AND INCOMPETENT.
