The Annual list of Top 10 Stocks has been personally beneficial to me financially. Particularly after my retirement, I profited with additional income to supplement my Social Security.

In the prior years I had compared the lists from other forums such as Motley Fool, Fortune, Forbes, etc. I found Zacks list was authentic. The methodology used by Zacks is far superior than the competitors. E.g. Once the report is published the next day's average price is taken as the baseline for monitoring the progress of the stocks through the year. Other forums do not do this. This monitoring is easily available real-time on the Zacks portal. Secondly, the $300 fee charged for this list --- i was able to earn within the first month of the list being published. I. e. I sold some of the stocks (short term gains) within 4 weeks to get my money back on the fee charge.

Thirdly, i was able to profit from these stocks by using a personal strategy: a) Buy few quantity of each top 10 stocks, within an hour of the publishing b) Throughout the year, buy at a dip (by comparing against the baseline of the beginning of year) and sell a few quantity of each top 10 stock when the price spikes. I do the buy/sell continuously during the year. C) Agreed by the end of the year not all top 10 stocks will make a profit - i assume atleast 3 would make a loss. So, through the year I hedge -- by booking some profits for each of those 10 stocks. I. e. My losses are minimised by the end of the year. D) for these top 10 i also monitor the quarterly earnings report to take action of buy/sell

Sheraz, the owner of the top 10 does good research and provides a 100 page document to educate us on why those 10 were picked. Secondly he picks stocks from a wide variety of industries e.g. financial, tech, services, utility, etc. Lastly he provides periodic updates half yearly or impromptu on the current status of the stocks. In the past he has also, at mid-year communicated that he is replacing one or two of the stocks if they are going through a bad phase.

I would appreciate it if he would give us timely sell messages on loss making stocks before the year-end. I mean it is great that he ensures max 3 out of 10 will return a loss, lets work on reducing that to maybe max 1 stock in a loss. Do note: Overall, the list is profitable inspite of even 3 stocks failing.

Zacks' services are incredibly useful to me, especially since I live in Europe and am far from the US markets! K. Matras' morning commentary (actually afternoon for me!) gives me insights into the atmosphere and sentiment on Wall Street.
For each stock, the cover page provides essential information, starting with the Zacks score and Zacks rank. With these key elements, I can then add my own criteria (management, company products, geopolitical and/or macroeconomic constraints). The team of analysts seems very competent. I enjoy reading their studies, particularly those by A. Rocco, E. Feller, and B. Hayes (to name just a few). And of course, S. Miaz (I've become a fan of the top 10 portfolios).
Of course, investors must also do their own research and adapt Zacks' advice to their own portfolio, investment criteria, and the tax laws of their country of residence. For example, I live in a country where capital gains are taxed at 40% if the asset is held for less than six months, but at 0% if it's held for six months or more. So, it's obvious that I'm looking for medium- to long-term investments!
Zacks is a true lifeline between the US stock markets and me. It has introduced me to many stocks that I enjoy investing in, and that make me money!

I sold a property this year and wanted to invest the money from it, but was intimidated because I'd never done it and I didn't want to lose what I had. My father told me about Zacks and briefly explained the system and I started investing using the Zacks rank. The ultimate trial really helped me to dive deeper; the emails from the different portfolio managers taught me a lot about how to look for stocks and screen for them. I've done really well on some stocks featured in the reports as well and always look forward to new reports. I've made a 13.4% return (effectively 26.8% annualized) since I started investing 6 months ago. That is way better than I was getting in a money market fund and pretty good for a brand new investor that knew nothing about investing. Some of my investments that I purchased at the recommendation of their analysts are up 60-100% since I purchased them 6 months ago! I really do appreciate Zacks and how easy you've made it for someone to start investing.

I think that Zacks portfolio has a huge potential, but without at least a minimal investment know-how it can be risky. There are several very good services (Research Wizard, Top10 stocks, TAZR) with proven results. Others are hard to define and cannot take it without evaluation (e.g. Premium screens are not suggested without backtesting, but the style scores are not implemented in RW; other investment services e.g. Stock Under 10 are showing benefits, but the past performance is not annualized so it is hard to compare to market performance and if you do it is not that promising.

Zacks Ultimate Commentary is valuable - the smarts and insight that the portfolio strategists have. Their thinking is very informative and instructive. And their picks push me to buy stocks that left on my own I would not consider. For investing I follow Value Investor, Stocks Under $10, TAZR and Home Run Investor. I get valuable insight from reading Counterstrike, Insider Trader, and Large-Cap Trader. I've made a lot of $$$ with this approach and learned a great deal.

For years I traded stocks and had ok success until I joined Zacks and signed up for their trading services. They're trading services are actually all very good, but the one that stood out to me is their Tazr trading service. It's managed by Kevin Cooke who has many years of experience and especially in Technology which is what I'm interested in. I want to say "Thanks Kevin for always bringing us great new investment ideas" Kevin discovered Nvidia back in 2022 when it was only $12.50. He has a knack of finding winners. I also have to applaud the Zacks rating system for finding #1 Strong Buy Stocks and #2 Buy Stocks, combined with their ESP Earning forecaster... it's truly a Winning System and a Winning Team!

I subscribed to Zacks services in 2014, and I can confidently say it's been the best decision I've made on my journey as an investor. It's a very comprehensive platform, offering various types of service portfolios that adapt to each person's profile. I have a moderate risk profile and a strong focus on technology, so among my favorite services are TAZR, Technology, Counterstrike, Value Investor, Stocks Under $10, ETF Investor, and Surprise Trader portfolios. Some of the tools I use most include the Zacks Rank, stock screening, and every night I read the summary of each of my favorite services with the editors' analyses. This information is extremely valuable to me—it helps me analyze companies, entry and exit points, and more. The confidential Monday reports are also an excellent resource. Thanks to Zacks, I discovered companies like NVDA before it became famous, learned about Alibaba's IPO, and got to know PLTR, SOUN, BBAI, QBTS, RGTI, and many other companies that have brought me double-digit gains—sometimes multiple times in the same year. I have no doubt in recommending Zacks and its various editors. The lifetime subscription allows you to receive new portfolios as they're released. I recently started testing Research Wizard, which I hope will further expand my toolkit for successfully evaluating stocks.

I read the summary emails for Zacks Investor Collection, Home Run Investor, Income Investor, Value Investor, Zacks Top 10 Stocks, and Zacks Confidential. I follow Tracey Ryniec and Bryan Hayes on stock related issues, and Sheraz Mian and John Blank on macro-economic issues. While having a long term focus on my investment, Zacks Rank and Industry Rank help me to adjust my portfolio as needed. I have used Zacks Investor Collection since 08/08/2024. Calculated in EUR currency and per closing prices of 05/06/2025, I achived a TTWRR of +22.3% compared to the S&P 500's 1.7% since then.Yes, this year was a roller coaster ride, but Y/D performance now looks better: -7.6% vs. S&P 500's -12.5% (again in EUR).
