Ive cancelled my subscription and deleted my account and they still charge me each month, so sick of having to dispute this! Waste of my time... do not sign up for this they are scammers
Nothing short of an abusive piece of advertising bait to people that are looking for genuine answers. I want real, Not this. Anyone that can provide a service that is verified with its suggestions will get my sub for sure.
Yummly sucks they must be desperate so difficult to delete account too many roadblocks have to believe they're intentional. DONT SUBSCRIBE
I used to be able to enter this website without stalkerish advertisements, without a screen asking me stupid questions, and without forcing me to register to be able to look at recipes. Once I tried registering, nothing worked to let me see recipes. Yummly has sold its soul to stalkerish and greedy $#*!s who don't know how to make fully functional websites that are actually user friendly. Many people have made accounts on Yummly to no avail. Stay away from this website! There are other better recipe websites that let you look at recipes more easily without stalkerish advertisements that won't force you to stop your adblocker, without giving you stupid questions about the recipe you are looking for before you look for a recipe, and without requiring you to have an account that probably won't work before you are able to look at recipes. What I am saying is the truth. Don't believe me? Go to the yummly.com website and look for yourself and see what you think is the truth. This is 2019, but problems keep happening. Not that I am surprised.
Found some lovely recipes, one in particular after about ten questions. When I clicked on it, I had to re-register and send an email. When searched for again, never found it. The search engine is non-intuitive and now I'm no longer hungry. GO F YOURSELF FOR WASTING ABOUT HALF AN HOUR OF MY TIME!
When I am looking for a recipe, I CAN determine which one suits my needs. I am NOT going to sit there for 10 minutes answering stupid questions. Even if you press "No Preference" or "Skip," it still takes you through an excruciating list of dumb questions that often are not even relevant. There are PLENTY other recipe sites online and I won't bother with that one again.
Browsing the web is exactly that... browsing the web. You can't even see a recipe on this site without signing up and going thru all kinds of hassle. Forget it. Recipes aren't that rare.
Forcing viewers to answer questions I guess I can deal with but the huge pop up that asks for your email with no way to bypass, I can't deal with. There are 100 other sites who will let you read for free, no strings attached. How about the option to subscribe/sign up? Geez.
I wanted recipes to use up my vanilla almond bark. I had recipes with almonds, with vanilla, with chocolate bark. I had some recipes with bark in the title, but after opening many, many recipes, I never found a single one that used vanilla almond bark.
Add up all the negative reviews listed here, and that's my review. I need to reach the 100 character minimum.
Waste of time! I just want the recipe. Yummly asks too many questions. So frustrating. I see their website pop up and usually skip it. Every time, I do select their website, I get asked tons of questions and get annoyed again.
Jesus man, hire a UX and a UI designer. The site is unbearable. It's slow. It's in your way. It has constant popup garbage and overlays. The people behind this should just close it down and delist it from all search engines. It is utter trash.
No reason to need to sign up just to use the website. Thats a bull$#*! move for a recipe website...
Am trying to unsubscribe from this annoying website but it won't let you scroll down to do so! So far still stuck with having to delete their endless emails...!
I am really surprised by all of these negative reviews. Although the site did initially ask several questions to narrow down your preferences and does require you to sign up, I would say that it is very worth it! It sounds like many other users never got past that step, so never got the chance to see how useful the site is. I exclusively use this site now, I transferred over all my recipes saved on other sites (Pinterest, Good eats, etc) because I loved it so much. I'm lactose intolerant, and I love how you can apply certain filters (food allergies, etc) to your search results. You can also narrow down by things like cook time, number of ingredients, and diets (Paleo, Vegan). When you save a recipe, you can save it to as many categories as you would like to make it easy to find later. I even found an extension that allows me to save recipes to Yummly from other sites. This site is like the ultimate search engine for recipes posted on blogs, food/brand websites, or wherever! I highly recommend it.
Forces you to sign up, then asks you a never ending string of questions to narrow your search for a recipe. STOP IT! Cannot browse the recipes easily and properly - will avoid all pushes to use this site in the future
Every time Google forces me to use yummly I regret it. If I try to open the recipe in the app... The app opens and... I have to search for the recipe again. Urk. You have to scroll a long way down to get the recipe and then press a button to see ingredients. Nothing good to say about it.
Stay away if you dont want your personal information stolen and put on the dark web. Avoid at all costs. Pathetic site
I'm not sure when it started but I couldn't browse the recipes without signing up which was annoying... so I put in a bunch of fake info just to get past the screen... then was bombarded with a bunch of questions. Let me browse, please, without all the hassle and make the question filters be optional. I don't need another account to keep track of when all I want to do is peruse recipes - not mortgage my house.
Type is a search and the results do not even match the ingredients at times. You see the nutritional information at the start, and it disappears never to be seen again once you select the recipe. Very frustrating site.
Answer: Hi Kari, I'm sorry you have had a negative experience with Yummly so far. We are directing users to download the Yummly iPad app because it is the best Yummly experience, and more user friendly than our mobile website. If you do not want the app, you can go to yummly.com, then tap the menu bar and sign in to your Yummly account. Once signed in, you will not see that pop up any longer and can use the mobile website. Best, Shelley
