I use Yodle for three of my dental practices and the advertising is paying for itself. We have generated up to 15 new patients in one month. Yodle's user friendly websites get the job done. I would recommend this service.

Yodle has changed my business. In one week alone I generated $21,000 worth of business from Yodle's online advertising. I'm more than tripling my investment and clients are now actively looking for my business!

Be careful!
February 20, 2011

Be careful! Yodle claims that they drive a huge percentage of their current clients traffic volume (which they "prove" by counting the number of times people his their custom splash page and/or call a custom phone number).

What's the catch? Yodle co-opts (hi-jacks) all, yes all of your previous online links and drives users to the splash page so it appears that they are working harder than they are. Example: I paid thousands of dollars to a local PR firm to do some great media outreach for our company, which they did. Prior to our opening all of the links went to a splash page yodle built for us, with our own phone number on it.

The day Yodle launched Keywords, suddenly all of those previous media mentions, online banners (both of which I paid for SEPARATELY FROM YODLE) are linking to the "Yodle" splash page for us. And their dashboard reports that - wow - aren't they driving great results for us with so many calls? 6% of the total traffic came from keywords (Yodle's work) and the other 94% came from our own hard work and spend across other media vehicles.

Yodle has co-opted my marketing plan and has claimed success that they have nothing to do with. They are snake oil artists, in my experience.

What a waste of money!
January 18, 2011

What a waste of money! I explained to Yodle my concerns and a conference call was set up, I wanted some changes and was told to give it time (even though the changes were clearly needed). CC date and time came and went without a phone call. Next day a phone call was received with all kinds of excuses and a promise that we would talk today at 10am. 10am came and went with no phone call. I sent an email-no response. I believe (as others have commented) that these people do not care about their customers. To date there $50 average lead cost is at $246.00. I am 45 days into a 3 month "test" campaign. I need to get out now as this is now the COSTLIEST advertising program I have ever encountered. Sam L.

This company can not manage their own employees. So how can they actually manage customers SEM. They also offered to pay me $200 for every positive review I wrote. However I have had nothing but problems with them. Keith said I would get 10-15 new clients a month for a budget of $1500 a month. Guess what. I only have gotten 15 phone calls from other companies looking to sell me something. When I call him he does not respond to often and when he does he feeds me a BS line. So if your a small to medium size business and your looking to grow your business not waste money seek a local SEM company. You will get first hand help. This company is a scam BUYER BEWARE.

My experience has been that my emails are OBVIOUSLY not read, or ignored entirely and not replied to at all. They seem more concerned with keeping citysearch happy than keeping me, the CUSTOMER, happy. Terrible. Plus they charge 1500/ month for stuff I can do in-house for a few hundred, tops. This is a horrible rip-off scam, and they don't do anything other than dilute our traffic via their awful analytics system (setting up a 2nd website and directing traffic to it is SEO FAIL), ignore my emails, and waste our resources. Can we implement a lower rating?

I wished I had found this site before signing up with Yodle to do Internet Marketing for my company. Luckily I only signed the 3 month agreement, unfortunately, I cannot recover any of the $3000 plus dollars.

I was promised quality leads to supplimnet the leads I'm getting from Yelp and relationship marketing. For the dollar amount charged, I was hoping for quality, solid leads. The results are disappointing at best. Sure I've gotten calls, but from people looking to kick the tires, not do any thing. I actually had one person set an appointment with me, then forget who I was, so when I showed up at their house, they thought I was with another company.

Quite frankly, if I had burned the cash in the fireplace, I would have better results... and maybe more fun. In addition, when you call the complain, so they can 'tweek' the campaign, my account rep never called me back. It wasn't until I treatened to call my states attorney general did the manager return my calls. By then I was livid, and the conversation wasn't very pleasant.

A word of advice, stay away from Yodle as a Internet Marketing firm. They are clueless about how to conduct this type of business, and won't cop to the poor performance or high prices.

I have worked with Yodle for almost one year and have been extremely pleased with the results. The leads Yodle provides have been extremely lucrative for our business. As a business owner, I do not have the time to manage this aspect of the business on my own. It is such a relief knowing I have a team of people devoted to generating leads for my business. My Account Director keeps his eye on everything relative to my business. I have received messages from him "after hours" excited about the large amount of leads we received for the day! One would think in a large company customer service would be lacking... that is certainly not the case with Yodle! I have complete confidence in the services Yodle provides to me. The revenue they generated for our new business was substantial right from the start. I shopped other companies prior to working with Yodle, however no one else offered as much value for my marketing dollars. I strongly recommend Yodle to any business looking for this type of service. - DM, Medspa Owner, Tampa, Florida

I have been very happy with the performance of my yodle account. The leads that it generates are usually excllenet. I do not track my account on a cost per click but rather as a return on investment. By that mesaurement, my yodle account has been much better than other forms advertising that I have used. -- Brian Schaeffer, Schaeffer Law Firm, Houston, Texas. www.schaeffer-law.com

I have been working with Yodle for 1 ½ years. We started extremely fast, and the results were great, as they have continued to be great. We upped the budget a few times, eventually doubling my monthly ad spend. The leads actually doubled too which surprised me. I've worked/work with AT&T, ServiceMagic, YellowBook, and the results aren't even close. My contact at Yodle is in the same city as I am (Boston), though we've never met face to face, he's always available to talk if I have any questions. And what seperates them from the company's I listed above is the internet marketing person I work with. It's a good sign to have multiple people helping you out, and if I can't reach one, I can always reach the other one. They've always been truthful and aren't afraid to tell me no, which I appreciate.

I've been paused for a few months because I was travelling, but am now back and plan to activate my Yodle account in the next few days. I own two other business' as well on top of my Junk Removal company (a restaurant and concrete business), and I have attempted to sign them up with my rep, but he was honest and said it wouldn't be a good fit because they don't think they can give me a good return. I respect that. Again, no complaints, only good things from these guys.

EPIC FAIL
November 16, 2010

EPIC FAIL. Stay away from yodle at all costs. They spend months running random experiments and they get paid regardless of whether you get customers or nothing. They have computer generated ads. If you tell them you only take clients in certain areas, they ignore you and simply aim to generate click and/or calls. If you want to burn money, this is quite possibly the best way to kill your marketing efforts

Yodle was a total loss for us and produced zero business. They set us back $6,000 which was a huge loss for a very small business and I will never recommend anyone to their service.

I have been with Yodle for 2 years. I signed up using their ppc program, I have increased my budget a few times, and also started using their seo services. My ads appear in the sponsored links, maps and organic results. I get a ton of leads and convert into jobs. The system gets better over time, it was slow first starting out but trust me it gets better! They always pick up the phone if I have questions and work me through any issues. I have no complaints, my sales rep Tim Warner is great and very down to earth. I have referred a few friends over who are also pleased with the results. It's a good company and has helped my business a lot.

Yodle sucks, don't waist your money I highly urge you. I rad this reviews before I sign up my plumbing business so I can't really blame any one but my self. The sales man Erich sang me a very beautiful sung and I fall for it. I dare to say he lied to me. So, I started with $500 budget which he told me would be about $15.00 a day and will generate me about 30 calls and they will build me such a professional website. As it turned out they spend my $500.00 budget in 2 weeks which means $500 budget designed for 2 weeks not a month and of course I did get a 1% of promised calls 1 from some kind of sales man and 2 from same person asking me if they fixed a plumbing properly and if not how much would proper fix cost them by the way almost forgot about so called professional website www.upstatescplumbers.com. Also when I called Yodle and complained they told me that they never told me it will be $15.00 a day because there is no way to control CLICKS.

"I refer all my friends to Yodle. I have two different accounts with them. I love the custom website and tracking. I like knowing exactly what I'm getting for the amount of money I'm spending. I love my team at Yodle. They are very attentive to detail and get things done. The lead volume and quality are great. I have a pretty niche product – I only do sprayfoam – and it can get even more niche but Yodle is able to get me exactly the leads I'm looking for. I've been with them for two years and I've never looked back."

Dishonest, Dishonest
October 25, 2010

Dishonest, Dishonest. Dishonest…. Yodle is truly the predator of small business. I signed up with Yodle on a 3 month trial basis. Their sales rep told me Yodle will build me a new website and advertise it online. Try it for three months and cancel if you are not satisfied. At the end of 3 months if you are not satisfied Yodle will give you the internet files for your website. She said they will charge me $750 per month for the first 3 months. The website they created was full of mistakes and misspelling etc. After 3 months I told them I wanted to cancel, they refused my cancellation request and signed me up for $450 per month. They continued charging my credit card. I had to change my credit card number.

Yodle sucks
September 14, 2010

Yodle sucks. 3 months commitment of $750/month advertising budget, $200 start-up fee, and $69/month maintenance fee returned 1 lead, 30 total calls and emails (half of which were complete duds). I'd say that's not even near to the $50/lead that they promised me. Bottom line: don't use them unless you like being ripped off.
