Still waiting on my money

I sent a wire transfer using xe. A week later they email me saying that my account has been closed without any explanation and that any money transfer I have made will be refunded. Going on two weeks now and I still have not received my money or an explanation as to why my account was closed. I'm starting to think this is a scam and I'm about to report them to the BBB as well as Federal authorities.I would not recommend using this company if you value your money.

Made my first transfer and few minutes after, I received a message stating they closed my account and no reason provided. That was weird! Stay away from this company. They don't deserve even a single star. There are many other money transfer options and will be happy to deal with a company that respects its customers

I picked XE over wise do to the fees and rates. I created an account (based in DE), It worked well for few months. Now a days, my account simply get closed for no reason. I am not sure which law permits to close accounts without giving reason (other than national security laws). ONe of the craziest platforms. Not worth my time

Fraud, Beware of this Scam

If I could I would give it zero stars
If I could I would give it zero stars. XE.com has scammed out of $967. I sent money on June 13th to Korea, the money was out of my USA Bank Account on June 13. XE.com only noted it came out on June 16th. On June 23, I called and escalated to XE.com where the money is because the recipient still didn't have it. I was promised an escalation manager to call me. Today is June 26th, I sent message to XE again, I reported them on twitter. They still don't have record of what happened during this transaction. There is no end confirmation from the bank. NOTHING

As of today, do to no call, no email, no resolution, and antagonistic customer service. I have called my bank and reported XE for fraud.

DO NOT USE THEM. I'm out of pocket almost $1000.

Tried to sign up and send my VA Disability benefits to myself from my bank in the US to my bank in Colombia for living expenses. All information was correct and within the policies of Xe. Upon submitting my transfer request it was immediately canceled and my account closed with no explanation. This action is permanent and Xe makes it clear that they won't give you any further information. I would not be surprised to learn that people are losing money using Xe. It's considered a more risky option and not a first choice here in Colombia. If you are a military veteran and need to transfer money for yourself and loved ones look to a different service provider.

After having a help desk staff help us filling out the original form, EVERYTHING WHEN DOWN HILL!
Over 7 days Xe kept asking for more information, which they could have asked for initially.
The HELP DESK did their best but the verification and technical support people kept changing their emails.
They received our money within a day but they say it will take them 10 days to return the money -- really!
Still waiting to get our money back!
The negative reviews of Xe are absolutely true, the industry web pages are not!

*Final update* After 43 business days and 4 business days after FBI cybercrime report I finally got my money back.
I regularly used Xe.com each month but the transfer made on May 26th still has not arrived as of today June 15th. The positive articles reviewing the company are all sponsored. Actual customer reviews from April 2023 until now are far less positive. Customer service answers the phone but says "tracing the funds takes time and there is no way to give an estimate of how long it will take."

Demanding for a refund

Opened an account I Made my first transfer with Xe to the south africa from US. After spending over an hour going through their tedious account opening and transfer process I filled out all the proper information i needed and i also filled out a proper information for my recipant that her bank gave her. Swift code, account number, acount name, etc.Tried to make a transfer and went through all the regulatory and security stuff. Pressed confirm button including 6 digit verification code, which said it was OK.Shortly after I got an email from Xe telling me Your Xe account has been closed. We will not be able to provide any further information as to the reason why.
We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause."my account was permanently cancelled. No explanation! No nothing! I tried to get customer service through chat, still my account remained close. The transaction wasn't completed in minutes I appealed but they won't give me any information on why. They also did deduct my payment out of my bank. They have all my personal information AND MY MONEY but won't let me appeal the decision to shut down my account. I've read the documentation and I can't figure out what I could have done to trigger a closure.this is incredibly frustrating and disappointing experience.please kindly refund me my money I tried this service because the rate seemed good and they promised it would be faster than the bank i have been contacting XE by email and phone for days now but yet still have not solve the solution to my problem please i need my money back

One of the worst providers that I have ever seen, will definitely not recommend to anyone. XE doesn't have any secure customer verification methods. I tried to make a payment of £1000 with my U.K. Debit card, I tried 7 times, every time I try to make payment it gets cancelled, when I rang them to complaint they said they have some issues with some debit cards payments of £1000 or more. And they have also closed account of two of my friends when they tried to make first transfer, no reason given, nothing.
Customers should be given the information as to why their accounts are closed but this i professional company doesn't even say that.
Another friends of mines payment was received by XE. They kept his money for 10 days and then when she called to complain then she was told it was cancelled and they didn't even bothered to returned her money or even inform her, had she not called them back then she would have never got her money back, very horrible experienced faced by four of us.

XE is Not fit to provides services in U.K.

I picked XE over wise do to the fees and rates. I created an account (based in US), added 3 recipients (from Thailand and Indonesia), attempted test transfers for all 3 but only the one for Thailand recipient went through, others had "errors"? 30 minutes later my account was closed. I appealed the decision twice with customer service and my account manager. They were not allowed to share further info. I am a compliance professional myself and I am 100% certain this was handled poorly. You can RFI to mitigate certain risks or if countries are unsupported why not make it clear in the first place in the terms? Don't waste your time with XE. The discount you get compared to others like wise is unnoticeable.

Poor shifty

Do not imitate a transfer over the weekends or public holidays, they will lock your money for days. They use that as an excuse to sit on your cash. Forex markets are open 24/7. The value is hidden in the PDF and is only available after you have down the transaction. FCA should be made aware of this punk

If I can rate 0 stars, I will. My account was closed on the 2nd time I tried to send money. I sent the first time $100 as trial. Then the 2nd time, my account got closed. No explanation. I tried to get customer service through chat, still my account remained close. I do not have this problem with Remitly. I only tried XE because they have no service charge. I am going back to Remitly where I have been a customer for 5 years now. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME ON XE!

--- Xe is the worse of all money transfer services --- --- Get less money and slow... VERY SLOW...!... Xe said take 3 days --- Now 7 days = NO MONEY in my bank...!... Use MoneyGram the same day I got money in 2 days... Xe... still WAIT & WAIT... don't know when...?... Stay away from Xe. Unreliable...!

The money transfer service this company provides is terrible. I have an issue which they were not able to resolve. I am escalating my issue to the ombudsman. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY FOR MONEY TRANSFERS TO LATIN AMERICA. THERE ARE HIDDEN FEES WHICH THEY CANNOT ACCOUNT FOR.

Fraud

Wired money from my bank to Xe account at bank of america. Xe required that I change my account to a business account. In the middle of setting up the business account, someone was hacked and an individual posing as an Xe employee, "helped" me establish my business account. This employee was in the email chains with Xe, and got the account established. This "employee" proceeds to sent the monies to an another account. In a country other than was indicated on the initial transfer to Xe. All that I can talk to is Xe customer service. No contact with the investigation team. I have asked for the written or recorder conversations with Xe, and have been told that I cannot have them. I have additional information for the investigation team, but I am unsure if that information is reaching the investigation team. Very poor customer support, and when I call customer service, very little information is required to access my account. DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE

XE is keeping the funds for almost a whole week! I should have had the funds today and just got a message stating I will have them within 4 days. Tried to message with them and Joe hung up on me. Thank you Angie for trying to save the day but this is my LAST ever transaction with them. I gave 2 stars only because of Angie. Angie you should leave, and in case you need a reference send me an email. This happened to me at least twice before! I Talked with a manager before but nothing changed. I am just done with them.

We had to contact XE many times by phone and by email. We were attempting to transfer through them from our Credit Union in the US. They held our money for 1 month. They insisted they did not have it, and that we must have made a mistake. They wanted out bank to do a trace, which they did, and after which XE STILL INSISTED it was our mistake, and that they did not have the funds.
Finally, a month later, and after much denial and refusal on their part, the money came through to our account in NZ. They have not offered any apology for the delay, nor any interest on the time they held out money while denying they were doing so.
For a time, I considered the possibility that the Credit Union was somehow at fault, since it's not a "regular bank". Until I transferred money through another company (TORFX) - it took them TWO DAYS to get it to us, including the Credit Union's wire time.
There is no doubt in my mind that XE is a terrible transfer service. I do not recommend every relying on them.
