WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE AFTER NEARLY A DOZEN YEARS
December 14, 2015

Due to rising costs of everything and falling income, I called last month and had my internet
Speed lowered. Also, pointed out I was being charged for equipment that had been taken back by a tech since early July of this year. It took until almost two weeks ago to get everything corrected.

Today, I looked to see how much this month bill is and found not only a $10.00 late charge, there is a $5.24 difference on my printed bill shown on one screen and that of the screen showing the amount due. I called and talked to an American for a change, but one that even after going over everything was dumber than a rock (no doubt a public school educated liberal result) and would not assist in getting my bill correct. Result I over paid by $15.24.

I would not use WOW after this save that they have better equipment Time Warner and a lessor cost. So I am going to use everything to warn consumers not to use WOW via this site, as well as filing complaints with PUCO, FCC and FTC. Plus, to do all I can hurt their business by all other means necessary and needed.

WOW - Where consumers are last and money is first.
December 14, 2015

Overall one star for lack of customer service...
If they had five star rated customer service maybe a three star rating.

To run a company customer service better be crisp and reliable.
Then the rest falls in line.

I wish I could put 1 1/2 stars but the one star is just for Their reliable prices

Horrible Customer Service
December 1, 2015

With so many choices, why settle for inferiorly frustrating service? I have never written a negative review for any company prior; but, the wowway customer service was just so bad that I felt a need to warn possible future customers. Consumer Beware!

Wow Internet and Cable SUCKS that bad ZERO if I could
November 28, 2015

Wow will no doubt be bought up by another company (just like T-Mobile by/MetroPCS) I guess a year maybe 2 tops?

10 years ago, switched to WOW because they were the best, compared to Comcast. During their 10 years they haven't updated anything. They don't even care anymore, as evident in typos for their descriptions of shows. How sad a company cannot run spell check?

Their Internet service is inconsistent, it goes down every day. Really wow? www.google.com doesn't exist? Lol Yahoo as your browser tells me 2 dying companies are trying to stay afloat. They were hacked in July, just more proof of how they just don't care anymore.

Cable service is very primitive. Charges are outrageous for what they are offering. Crap cable and intermittent internet cost us 178 a month NO PAY CHANNELS either (honest)

You SHOULD be aware: Wow snoops on you so they can get advertisers to pay for ads.

Smart $#*! customer service reps, reminds me of how Comcast use to be.

The minute Comcast left my home, I called to get rid of WOW. They offered a big discount, I declined, I don't even want it if it was free. Took their boxes back the next morning.

Comcast X1, bells and whistles, cost less and worth so much more to us.

RIP WOW your time has passed.

WOW this company sucks!
September 22, 2015

Switched to WOW cable when we moved to the midwest a few years ago. I'm not going to talk too much about the constantly increasing prices and fees, because all cable companies do that after your initial offer term runs out. I've lost track of the number of times they've increased the cost or added fees without providing any more service. I even pay a fee for sports programming, even though we hate sports and never watch sports channels.

The internet service is horrible. It's supposed to be 15mbps. But that's very optimistic, and often we have no service at all. I've used time warner and comcast in other cities in the past, and this is by far the worst service. For some reason, once or twice a month I need to reset the cable modem... not sure why but it totally stops working otherwise.

The cable TV service is also bad. The picture is ok normally, but it often freezes up or gets pixellated. It's the worst I've seen.

Finally, again, the customer service sucks with all of the big cable companies. But WOW markets itself as a company with good service. Well, good luck getting through to a person if you need help. I've been on hold with them for over one hour on several occasions. And the employees aren't particularly helpful.

Avoid WOW at all costs. The only reason we haven't switched yet is because we plan to move soon.

WOWWAY was very bad choice
August 19, 2015

I've never publicly dissed a company, but the problems I've had with WOW are so exasperating, that I think I should warn others. Bottom line, you can't trust what any of the people say. They are nice, that is, they apologize incessantly, but that doesn't make the wrongs right. Just avoid the aggravation by not falling for their niceness, and very misleading or untrained personnel upfront. It's not worth it.

I would give 0 star but there is no option for it. These people never care we had 12mbps speed but we get 2mbps speed. I've called them like 1000 times to check the speed, all they answer is that you have a prblm with router and modem, but we use the best reviewd router. Please donot use this service at all. Please for godsake!

WOWWAY customer service is one of the WORST!
February 16, 2015

WOWWAY customer service is one of the WORST! There is a person there who told me my price would NOT raise when I had several problems. She is NOW moved on to another job and doesn't remember telling me this! (YES, I know, should have gotten it in writing.) Didn't know if I should post her name but have decided to let her HR person know. I've tried contacting the CEO or anyone who would listen to no avail. NO ONE has given me the courtesy to help me. The Sr. Tech says the CEO passes concerns on to him... HUH? What kind of business is this? Their extremely high prices DO NOT meet the quality of their service. A person pays soooo much and receives terrible service. RUN from them!

Absolutely the worst
November 2, 2014

Absolutely the worst. This Internet and cable provider just is bad. It goes out a lot, and no matter how much they say their internet is good, it's trash. Do not consider it. I can't even stream a 3 minute 420p video without the Internet crashing. This is the worst internet and cable provider I've ever had. Even as I tried to write this review, the Internet went out and I had to use my phones data plan for SiteJabber to even come up. It really makes you think WOW! This provider sucks!

Excellent customer service and provider
May 30, 2012

Excellent customer service and provider. No more customer service from India, and no more of India trying to sell you a service package without helping you. AT&T has gotten too expensive, provides the worst customer service (See Consumer Reports article), has restrctive hours for help with the Internet, and the products are below average. WOW gives you 15MPS Internet connection as compared to AT&T which gives you 3MPS, if you are lucky. Also, WOW is AMERICAN based and is located in Colorado Springs with customer service 24/7 in Colorado and Alabama. They give you a phone service (land line) with free toll and incoming calls plus 100 free minutes for local and long distance/month.
I urge you to look into their services, if it is located in your area. The cost is only $7 more per month, and you can negotiate price and have your installation waived. The only drawback is outsourcing installation. INSIST on having a WOW employee install your lines, and do not be afraid to ask the installer if he is contracted. The contracted individuals will not do anything which is not their job but WOW employees will help you with everything from setting up email to figuring out how to set up other devices you might have, such as, Roku.
