Decided to try and sell an engagement ring on here and was very curious of how the process works. I went through the first couple of steps filling out the type of ring, shape and how many carats the ring itself is. After getting to the photo section I decided to wait and do a little more research so I left it blank and open. Fast forward to a couple of days later I start receiving phone calls from them up to 2 or 3 times a day, text messages and then phone calls. It was annoying at first but I actually liked receiving them so it was a constant reminder. Finally after getting one call today I had enough from the random phone calls and voice messages they were sending me and decide to go ahead with them. I uploaded photos, and completed the process. They sent me the insurance documents and then a shipping label for pick up, everything was going smooth until I received an email saying that my order was canceled. I called them to get some more information and they stated that my ring isn't in high demand and they were not in need of it. You're kidding right? They blew my phone up for 2 weeks leaving all of this $#*! and now I decide to go with it and they tell me that they aren't in need of it. What a joke, looks like this ring will be going to another site!

I guess I fell for it. I sent my diamond to Worthy with full awareness of its worth and GIA grading that I obtained at the time of purchase. A secondary/independent appraisal also validated it's grading. I understood completely that it was an auction and I would not recoup nearly its full value. I absolutely understand that Worthy is in this business to make a profit. Interestingly, the GIA grade determined by Worthy was significantly different in color, though match in clarity. Interestingly, they never asked for the grading, only the size when submitted. I began to have a sinking feeling. I asked for a low minimum reserve- which was not met, not surprisingly based on their grading. I asked that the ring be returned, confirmed the location for the FedEx office locally and was assured via email that it would be in my possession in 7 to 10 days. When I did not receive the promised FedEx tracking number, nor my ring, I emailed my customer service agent. Shockingly, I did not receive a reply to my email. A phone call to the company, revealed that they don't know why my ring was not sent back, but they should be able to get me a tracking number next week to ensure that I can track its progress. I am hopeful to get the ring back, but at this point I am markedly concerned that I might not. I have a feeling I will be making many more phone calls to try to get my ring returned. They were anxious to receive it and provided expedited two day air shipping, but can't seem to be as efficient returning it, or even giving an explanation for why it is not been returned. Go elsewhere.

Although they did not hear back from you, we are confident we have taken the appropriate measures to resolve your concerns. From our review, we can confirm the return location was confirmed on 5/20/22 and the package was shipped out on 6/6/22,10 business days from that date. As explained in our communication with you directly, our return processing timeframe is between 7-10 business days where great care is taken to securely package your return for safe delivery.
Please note, as part of the services we provide in preparation for your jewelry's auction, complimentary grading at a third-party independent grading lab such as the GIA is included. It is very important to note the grading reports provided by the grading lab are completely objective. As a reminder, before starting your auction, you have complete control over the reserve price that is set and the minimum amount your jewelry sells for. If the reserve price is not met, we'll initiate the return of your ring without hesitation. Although we weren't able to assist you with the sale of your jewelry, we do wish you the best if you decide to pursue another avenue.

Overall it was a very easy experience. I didn't have to speak to anybody & was updated constantly. It moved very quickly in the beginning but there was some delay at the IGI grading lab. When all was said & done it was abt 2 weeks. What I'm most disappointed abt was the starting offer I received I thought was chosen by a person, but I believe it was just automated by the computer, or Worthy did not care to get max amount of money & just wanted to sell. I accepted the very low starting point of abt $475. Over 120 watchers and ever time I would check on it there would be more watchers. The first sold for $753.75 which was extremely low compared to other rings in same grading scale and my ring was more beautiful & unique than other rings that sold for over $1000. Luckily Worthy decided on their own to extend the auction for another hour or so "due to high demand" and it sold for $978.75. Still below many other plain rings. I think I should've started my auction at about $900. I'm sure there would've been bids. I would've been devastated if my ring only sold for $753.75 or even less! In total I paid over $4k for that ring! At least, in that case, if my auction had never gotten to $900 I would've had the option to sell or not but bc my starting price was so low, I was so close to receiving practically pennies! I think if I would've started my auction at $900 I could've gotten a little more but I trusted this starting auction Worthy gave thinking there would be a lot of bids or they knew best. I would go with your own gut and place your starting point where you wouldn't mind selling your ring for at least that price.

I had a great experience. I was always kept in the loop on every detail as it played out. I had my ring in a box for years. I was told at a jewelry store I wouldn't get more then $30.00. So it sat there. Finally I thought Id give Worthy a go. I mean how could it hurt I wasn't getting anything for it in the box. I got a ending bid of $ 750, wow! The only downfall I can give is I despise PayPal, days later they still won't release my money. Ugh!

Answer: Yes, Worthy photographs your item and gets it appraised. Worthy will suggest a reserve price. You can set your own, though, like I did. Had my ring not reached the reserve, I would have had the option of accepting the sale or having my ring returned. I set my reserve price 5% over what they suggested and I received double what I set as my reserve. Something to note is since my ring had a flurry of attention on the last day, Worthy extended my auction time enabling me to receive more bids. My ring sold last night and I had an email this morning saying my deposit was made to my account. I will use them again and recommend them to my family.

Answer: I was offered a quick sale and it was less than what I had anticipated my minimum bid price would be. I was told my check was sent out. Hoping to receive the check any day now, All in all, the process was not everything I had hoped for... I received one phone call on a sunday with the quick sale offer and some basic info on the appraisal. If you created an on-line account and communicated via email then you at least have some paper trial of what has happened. I went in person and delivered a ring so all communication was via phone once I left the building.

We attempted to reach you directly about your stated concerns. Although we have not had success connecting with you, we remain available to discuss your recent experience and any steps we can take to make it right. We take the experience we provide to all sellers including prospective ones, very seriously. We do hope we'll have the opportunity to connect with you directly to address your concerns further.
Although we are not able to confirm we have the correct account without your confirmation, we believe we may have located your account based on the details available. We've completed an initial review of the account in question and show we received the initial submission for the 1 carat ring on June 7th. It was noted the optional upload photo step was skipped when the details about your ring were submitted.
From there, one of our Selling Advisors attempted to contact you to discuss the next steps. We also sent several requests for you to add photos to your submission. When the photos of your ring were submitted yesterday, June 30th, it was observed that the center diamond stone of your ring was smaller than the 1 carat initially listed. After our review of the photos, we did determine, that although the ring is beautiful, it did not meet the minimum criteria for auction. We recognize this was likely disappointing news after our series of attempts to reach you and obtain the remaining details about your jewelry.
If we are not confident we can assist you with the sale of your ring, we will let you know right away. We are hopeful you will find success through another avenue.
