I think it is amazind for beginners and those who are looking to make a quick portfolio. But personally I would like to see more serious tech features than fun store-builder game. But thats just my preference
I sent a few inquires to partners of Wix based of Wix's recommendation. I kept getting a call from an unknown number but no voice mail so I decided to call it back. When I called a man named Alex answered. I explained I had a missed call from him and his response was "yeah it's Alex" in an annoyed tone "you put in a request for me to reach out to you" I responded "is this for a website?" He then irrelevantly said "no I'm pretty sure you put in the request" but in a very agitated tone now. I said "I understand that, I used wix to reach out to several of their partners are you one of their partners?" At this point he hung up on me. I still had no answer to who this man was other than a name and him saying I put in a request for him to call. He never said what business he was with or that he was associated with Wix. I then looked up the phone number I found the company Graphic 2 Traffic which is a partner with Wix. I will not be using any partner with Wix if this is how they conducts business.
After an office manager walked off the job, I the owner lost access to the account. The account was linked to her email account and I do not have the password. Asked Wix what to do and they said she owns the account and Wix will never help me the owner to get access to my business account. I work in healthcare and children could be hurt and parents frustrated if the website can not be accessed. Stay away from Wix at all costs or you will be sorry. They are not business oriented
Wix lacks coherency and transparency when it comes to purchasing plans and domains. Do not reccomend, they also rejected my request for a refund with no explanation, when my organization was not able to afford a renewal.
I'm so pissed off. Beware of autorenew option of their plans. You will not be aware you had autorenew untill you've been charged. They do not remind you of the renewal via email (nor any other method) and they charge you 14 days in advance before the actual renewal date. So if you choose to cancel your plan after that, it's too late, you have already been charged with hundreds of dollars. It's a trap. Use another provider who doesn't play small!
Initially, I was a huge fan of Wix. I've had my site since 2015. The website design tool is highly customizable, which is extremely important. But in the last few months, they have made major changes in the messaging system with this "Ascend" garbage they have built into the site to use for your contact forms. It used to be that the initial contact from someone would go through the site, via your form, but now, the entire conversation, each email is getting routed through the site, and it only shows the most recent email - no string, which is F-ing annoying. They seem to think there is nothing wrong with that. WTAF? Recently a client sent me a project list, embedded into a link that was no longer a link after being routed through their site. And I have sent multiple email responses to clients that have never made it. It's like they are trying to put me out of business. Additionally, they used to have great customer service, but now they make it almost impossible to communicate with them to try to get help. Guess it's time to find a new option...
The wix idea seems great in paper but to actually host to this type of website is a horror not sure why my company even wasting moving our old good website to this nightmare from pointing to dns to managing website seems horrible. Not to mention a customer service officer with no clue what they're product all about. You might better chat in a mirror to resolved your issue. I have to google for hours for the first issue now I had another one and so simple without using this wix.

Accept the rest of $571 dollars. They claim they don't have anymore billing infomation for the rest of the charges. They claimed that I would receive a email in 5 or 7 days. I told them I'm not waiting for $#*!. I want my money back now! I want all of them arrested. If anyone is with me we can file a lawsuit all together.
We were very excited to get started with wix and be able to take credit cards and payments online. They were very helpful at first, until we got going. After 3 months of getting prompt payments, they started to randomly hold back payments for no apparent reason. The times they held the payments got longer and longer until they stopped paying all together. They owed us over $5,000.00 at one point, causing late fees to be assessed by our vendors as well as putting the other small businesses we deal with into hardship while waiting on wix to get it together.
NEVER use this site for e-commerce or business needs.
I canceled my website and email with Wix.com over two years ago. A year later they tried to bill me for my email services. I FINALLY was able to talk with someone through their callback service and he canceled (again) my email and refunded the charge. Now TWO years after they just charged me $26.+ AGAIN. Now I all the pages for customer service will not load. If I call their phone number, a recording tells me to go online, yet online pages won't load. What a nightmare. I would NEVER recommend this company because of their terrible customer service. $26.42 WIX.COM*qcshelldesigns. *******949 NY
Wix.com commits fraud on a daily basis. Check out the BBB site or any customer review site and read the horror stories. They parse your financial information and will charge you for services you do not want. They will refuse to refund you. Then, when you dispute the charge with your bank, Wix.com deletes your account and somehow wins the dispute by stating false policies. Their practices are against CA law. Not only are you charged for something you didn't want, they delete your account so they never even have to provide a service.
I recommend anyone who has been a victim of fraud by this company to reach out to any and all of California's consumer protection agencies. I will be pursing this on behalf of all of us. They need to be stopped.
WIx is terrible company no customer service go spend your money in on other company i'm waiting for account verification over 15 days terrible.
I would give ZERO stars if available. They have a software that analyzes your emails and thousands of words that you cannot use in your emails to your customers. No financial, technical, medical wording is permitted and there is nothing you can offer for sale. When you call the customer service they do not help to resolve a problem, they say they do not know what causes the denial of email campaign. Stay away from WIX! Go to WordPress.
My auto-renew was turned off, but my subscription renewed anyway, without any email notification stating that I was going to be billed or that I had been billed. That's $220 for the "premium plan" and $47 for the domain. I asked for a refund but was denied even though it's only been about three weeks since it renewed.
The only good thing I have to say about wix is that in order to actually build your website they have easy to use features. Other than that since I have purchased the business account on wix months ago my site has been completely useless because the Wix Payments Team has been nit picking every little thing that's on my website and requiring that I change my website exactly to their liking while holding my money hostage. After complying with literally everything that they asked (mind you they told me to do the same thing to my website over and over again after I had already done it) they tell me that I just need to take my products off of my site completely in order to receive my money that I've already earned. You can't even get a hold of this payments department by phone and they take AGES to respond to requests via email. Since I can't properly run my business using this I will be switching to another provider ASAP. Except I can't do that until they actually transfer me my money that they're holding hostage, I've completed their last request weeks ago by taking my products off my website so that I can finally get my payout and switch providers and they have yet to do anything about it.
A designer calls and gives you a price and you pay half down. Then you get emails to start sending info and pics. They give you different emails for different things. They then ask for another payment. They then tell you they are not getting info that you sent. After a while you are told to send more money! You send receipts and find out three different people from around the world with no phone access are building three different sites and taking down payments!
You do not have any money left to pay for one site and they all have your money for finishing nothing! WIX itself will not call you! One person then let's you know they send your request out to six different people and you choose whom to hire. Would have been nice to know this ahead of making any payments!

As the client who sent the request, you get to receive six answers and six quotes and then you choose the person you want to work with. So, you should have replied to each email and saw the person you like and then go with him or her.
WIX is not a scam. Every partner is trying to make a living and they will respond to each request they receive. Try to understand.
I also felt like you were dealing with two different people since i gave you a quote for 860 USD but you pointed out that we had discussed 600 USD to 800 USD. Which wasn't the case.

Wix forex is a webpage from San Francisco office. Ascend. Wix is their chat. Email and customer service support. I lost almost $5000 on a fraudulent forex site. I communicated with wix.com showed the screenshots of obvious fraud they investigated but did nothing. No offer to help get my btc or even stop website. It is still up and running. Them knowing and doing nothing is just as good as allowing more theft to take place. Anyone else scammed by wix forex email me *******@yahoo.com
I guess, here are the most trustful reviews on this website. WIX had very low rating on Google, now it's hidden. Here is why I'm giving only 1 star. I build my website using WIX, spending a lot of time and paying for Premium account. It worked well, but then they changed something on this platform, and now there is no possibility to make changes on the pages I created earlier. Now I have to create them again! About 40 pages with a lot of items on each! Did they ever think of their clients, when decided to make it unavailable to make changes on the pages, created before? They did not even leave me a chance. I found out about this problem only when I tried to make changes on some pages. That could be enough to hate it, but that's not all. Beside that, their guides sometimes don't match the site's capabilities, and you have to find the solution by yourself. And often WIX works very slowly. Just pain in $#*!.
Wix literally scammed me out of hundreds of dollars for a service I cancelled almost two years ago. Several charges since trying to cancel ranging from $170 - $300 each transaction. Contacting their support and abuse lines does nothing. They just keep running me around in circles and refusing to refund the money they stole. Stay away from this service! It will cost you more than it's worth!

The recording first said, that "due to call volume, i would have to call back when they next opened on Monday (feb 13th!)" which means that they haven't changed their answering message for days! Then I tried this morning, and there is a new recording that saids that they will next be open on Tuesday feb Feb 21st! So. Fuck. Seriously. We can't afford to rebuild our whole site again with another service! And i've/we've had WIX for over 6yrs now..

Answer: One of the things that really bother me with Wix (besides them being so focused on extracting money from their customers that they tend to forget about everything else) is that they make these changes and do not care one bit to inform their customers that they are going to do this, so all of the sudden one has a site that doesn't function and unless one keeps checking daily whether everything still works as it should, one end up having problems. That's one of the reasons why I'm out and do not plan to use them much longer.
