I bought a Wahoo Kickr Snap from Wiggle. Over £400 for a turbo trainer but the winters are long and my derrière isn't going to shrink itself. All was good in the land of virtual cycling until I plugged the Kickr in and sparks flew from the power supply like Jennifer Beals was doing a bit of welding behind me. I contacted Wiggle to see if I could return just the power supply rather than the whole trainer with its incredibly weighty flywheel. You'd think given that this was a matter of electrical safety and a potential threat to life, since there are 240V going into this faulty power supply, that Wiggle would want to get to the bottom of it. Apparently not so. They refuse to call me, provide a phone number where I can call them, or reply to my emails. This beggars belief. I've passed the matter to trading standards since there's a very real safety issue here.
I sent a faulty watch back to Wiggle and requested a refund as I had been unhappy with the watch while it was working and was going to purchase a watch from a different brand (at over twice the price of the original watch I purchased). I have now been without watch and without a refund for almost a month despite hounding them constantly to get this resolved. I would have ordered the new watch from Wiggle, however this has dragged on for so long that I've now just ordered one from elsewhere.
I made a total of 4 orders from them, 3 with problems (one canceled *******721, one with diferent configuratin on components *******789 received in 3 weeks inside EU, last one *******497 with small problem: the rims have no eyelet/caps like in description and pics). I do not recomand!
I wanted to make a change to the gearing on my bike. My local bike shop gave me a quote that I wasn't prepared to pay so I did a bit of looking around online. Being a bit of a novice I found Wiggle a very helpful site and the info provided gave me the confidence to make the purchase. I got the new gearing and the tools to do the job for quite a lot less than the shop wanted, made the change myself and so far (150 miles to date) my handiwork seems to be holding
Dreadful customer service. Won't be using them ever again. Absolutely awful attitude from them! Replies are so patronising! Generally items are advertised but never in stock!
I had several items in my basket. Prices magically changed after the order was processed which ended up costing me 40% higher than what was in the basket. I had the correct currency and destination selected, but something got changed after the order was processed and my credit card was charged much higher. They would not respond to multiple emails and kept accusing me of selecting the wrong settings even after I showed them screenshots of the correct settings.
I had to return an item. I followed the return instructions listed on their website. I just received an email from them informing me that the items I returned are too damaged for resale and I am not going to get a full refund.
So I guess I have to take their word for it and let them keep more than half of my money... buyers beware.
Don't waste time and money with this company they will never pay your claims I had bike insurance with them for 2 years, after the pedal been reported stolen to the local police they refused to pay i haven't received any penny even my insurance was 10 pounds a month.
The customer service team at Wiggle are great! I shop at Wiggle regularly and rarely ever have any issues, but when my parcel was lost they replaced quickly on next day delivery, happy days!
I've sent a helmet back for an EXCHANGE after I purchased one through one of their offers of discount after spending over £100. I asked for the same helmet just a different colour but they refunded me and claimed they had no stock of the colour I requested. Their site claimed 10+ in stock. I now have to buy at full price due to the offer finishing by the time I heard back from them about the return. Disgusting customer service. I've tried to contact them but no response!
My order has been lost No one has a clue as to its'
Whereabouts.
They use " Royal Mail "! OMG Never again
I have placed 3 orders in the last 3 months. The 1st was cancelled because the item was discountined although the website still had it. The second I paid next delivery and never received it. On the 3rd they sent the wrong item. The WORST online experience ever.
As stated above; Wiggle sucks! I have ordered several times with Wiggle, due to their good prices. However, that's done now. No more! The low price is not worth all the hassle if the product is not good. And unfortunately, that seems to be often with Wiggle. And like mentioned in this forum; customer service really is ridiculous!
Latest order: Windproof gloves. According to the size chart on the Wiggle site I order a size L and guess what: too small. So I send the product back at my own expense (don't even think that Wiggle will reimburse you in this case)! I told them send me a size XL. What happens: I get again the exactly same pair of gloves! Yes, size L. Tried to solve this with customer service but they do not respond quickly in case of problems. Never again!
The prices are good but the customer service if you have a problem is terrible.
I bought one bike from them. The front wheel didn´t work properly when it left the factory and in Wiggle they did not check it, despite the say they do it thoroughly and even they include a checklist. After several emails, they advised me to take it to a mechanic which I did. The mechanic told me that the axle was damaged and that I should ask for a new wheel since if I manipulated it, I would lose the warrantry. I told them so and I even contacted the factory for a new wheel, their answer was:
We thank you very much for your request! First we´re quite sorry about the issue you are faced with your bike. But we can´t deal directly with you a end consumer needs always to get in contact with his dealer to clarify any issues. So please check what wiggle offers you, or they maybe should request a new wheel from our customer service department"
Wiggle didn´t want to contact the factory and offered me to return the bike. But they said that I might have to pay for the shipping cost if their mechanics considered that it wasn´t important. So I decided to fix the bike with my own money.
I bought some Adidas Glow Boost trainers with 'reflective features' on the top of the shoe, and wanted a refund as I wore them out for the first time at night, got home and they have big, luminous glow-in-the-dark strips across the back. There was nothing in the full description stating glow-in-the-dark patches, only 'reflective features' on the tops. Reflective and glow-in-the-dark are two very different things. These look like kids' PE shoes. The customer service agent basically said "well that's why they're called Glow Boost" and that she personally liked the glow-in-the-dark feature, and said I couldn't do anything about it. The name of the style isn't necessarily indicative of the features of the shoe, and a full description should always state something as major as I would never have bought them if I had known about the glow in the dark panels. In this case I wasn't able to see this feature when I unboxed them in daylight, so they were worn outside briefly before realising, and in this case I believe a refund should be given. I felt so belittled by the customer service agent and it was a really disappointing customer experience.
2nd time I've used Wiggle and will be the last, in their defence my delayed order was an error on the part of one of the 3rd party delivery company's they use but having to put up with irregular timed responses/updates via email only was utterly ridiculous and frustrating to say the least, never again! They will lose lots of customers gradually over time no doubt..
Love the product range and the prices, but the delivery times are just insane! You need to find a better delivery service Wiggle! Over 2.5 weeks, still waiting for my pair of shoes I ordered.
This is the first and last time I am shopping on Wiggle. While they may have a wide range of products, at competitive prices - similar to Amazon etc, I will not be using them again. For comparison, I usually use Chain Reaction or Evans Cycles out from the UK. I have NEVER been disappointed by them - I know exactly how many days it will take for the order to be placed and delivered.
I recently placed an order on 1 May which was fulfilled on shipped out on 4 May, and I am still waiting for the delivery on 13 May. The shipment has landed in Singapore on Sunday 10th May and it's still not out for delivery. How big is Singapore? Their shipping is terrible and NOT CHEAP.
I ordered a GPS off their site. After about two weeks my order was canceled for no reason. After I contacted them by email, they refused to give me information about the order. They said they would call at a specific time and never did.
100% waste of time to shop here. Don't waste your time.
On the face of it this company seems to have a good range and keen prices... but beware because they use a very shoddy delivery service. Even though I bought and paid for a "Tracked Courier Delivery" neither wiggle.co.uk or its delivery service, Parcelforce, have made any concerted effort to resolve the situation when my goods weren't delivered. Instead they treat me as though I'm an idiot, offering nothing but empty platitudes while they simply wash their hands of the entire problem.
