WGT Media Reviews Summary

The company has garnered a mixed reputation, with customers frequently praising the game's graphics and overall fun factor. However, significant concerns overshadow these positives, particularly regarding customer service and game consistency. Many users report frustrating technical issues, such as glitches and freezing, which detract from the gaming experience. Additionally, complaints about perceived unfairness in gameplay and a lack of effective support from the company highlight a troubling customer service approach. Overall, while the game has potential, the prevailing sentiment suggests that unresolved issues and inadequate support are major deterrents for players.

It never plays the same. You can come out of a bunker with little swing one time and the next you have to hit it full swing. The wind will move the ball on one hit at 3 miles and not at 18 miles an hour. Play the game before you design one.

The graphics of this game are outstanding, best I have seen for a golf game on the web. I think all the programmers here are well versed in graphics but their expertise in developing a consistent performing program is worst than terrible. They should take all the programmers for this game and take them out back and make them play this game for hours until their heads explode with frustration. If you are new to the game, don't get sucked in by the graphics, get the f out as fast as you can before they drain your life force from you with their incompetence.

All the 1 star bad reviews are accurate. My credit card got hacked shortly after buying coins too. No support. Closed my son's account because we play off the same phone.

Absolute crap
May 25, 2017

This game has no constancy and the makers have no clue about the actual physics of golf. The shots do not end up where they are supposed to and you can hit two shots the exact same and not end up in the same place. Absolute crap game

Very frustrating game. Fun to play but it is obviously a game intended to get you to pay for upgrades which is fine if you choose to do so. But it should be a choice not something that you have to do

Have played this game for a long time but recently there are many problems.

Time outs causing loss of games when everything freezes.

Unable to access rooms to play games.

Coins deducted from total for no reason.

XP bonus not being applied properly.

I have tried asking them to fix the problems but they still persist, it is ruining what was a decent game.

There are people on this game that will hack and steal your credits also your equipment! And when you let game support know they say they have nothing to do with that part of gaming! Wgt offers surveys to get free credits after 30min survey no credits! Wgt says they have nothing to do with that again! Yet offer on THEIR game! So don't buy anything ever!

No problem with the reviews stating it's a free site, agree 100%.
It's an individuals choice whether they want to purchase items to improve their play and chances. Its a silly on line game after all.
But... of course I am going to state a but... having purchased said 'Better items' of balls, clubs etc, it's amazing how every single course and hole that you pay having voluntarily spent you cash, become severely difficult, so that you lose those 'Better Balls' and the clubs you purchased in fact over play each hole.
WGT are in it to MAKE MONEY FROM ALL, Not for the fun of it. However, their tactics they clearly employ to remove the said purchased better items quickly from each player, means that their revenues keep rolling in... unlike those superb never miss a putt balls you bought... which get Lost in places where previously you were just in the rough and where a previously flat green on the same course suddenly becomes a ski slope! Clever, not Cricket but like all on line sites where you have a choice to purchase items... there will only ever be one winner... and it certainly will not be those handing over the cash.
Enjoy.

They are asking you to review the game not complain that you have to spend money to be good. The truth is the game is 100% free, you can pretty much play it for the rest of your life and never spend a cent. You might not enjoy how much harder it will be for you compared to someone that spent some money but hey life isn't fair. I have spent about $15 so far and when I get to higher lvls I most likely will spend money I consider it price for my enjoyment. Only complaint I have is connection is kinda jumpy at times but other then that enjoying myself, good game.

They cancelled my player because my kids and I were playing from same device.
I had 3000 credits and they cancelled my account.

Don't waste your time with this game. All they want is your money.

DONT EVER BUY ANYTHING
If you don't buy stuff they will kick you out if you have gathered a lot of credits

All the want to do is sell you balls, clubs etc. If your using a tablet, 1 nine hole course will eat more than 50% of your battery life! BOYCOTT TO SEND A MESSAGE THAT THERE ARE THOUSANDS OF MORE ENTERTAINING GAMES! THIS GAME IS EXPECTED DESIGNED SO THAT YOU LEFT SE GOLF BALLS THAT YOU PAY FOR VERY EASILY! OH, LET ME ALSO MENTION THAT YOU GET BOOTED OUT VERY EASILY, LOSING ALL YOUR COINS! $#*! game!

Listen and save yourself time and money!
As you start your profile and begin to build your game you'll notice that in the "match play" You will be competing against money or as they call it "coin". You will start out as a "Hack" and move up to Amatuer then TourPro and then through to Master. Well when you "wager" your money, and of course they make you do this before you know who you are playing and what level they are (usually a Master""), your given choices to wager small amounts of money and large amounts of money. This money is used to better your golf game by purchasing with the money you win in match play. So as a "hacker" you may decide to play a $10k entry fee match (head to head) while winnings are "$18k". After you commit to this the computer will match you up against a "master". Of course "Master's" have the best equipment to shoot a under par round while you are scrambling to stay just 1 or 2 strokes above par. So customer/players like us are used to generate play while the fat cats just get fatter. Move on to a better app that is fair and balanced... PERIOD! Oh yes I have it a 2 because graphics are decent...

WGT is a ripoff
January 20, 2017

I recently noticed that my scoring average was not really an average at all. It only includes your best scores. The result is that you get promoted into a higher tier than your scores would dictate. Why would they do that? Because in higher tiers, the holes become longer and the greens more difficult. And what do you have to do then? Spend money on this 'free' game. It's a trap.

When I called this out to WGT, after a few email exchanges in which I pointed out the unfairness, my player account with them was disabled...

Greed.

Needs work
January 18, 2017

The most frustrating part of the game for me right now is not being able to control backspin on my wedge shots. I always have to go either a quarter swing down or half a swing down to have the ball land below the pin (which takes birdies out of the equation). Otherwise the ball lands inches from the pin and keeps rolling up to 15, sometimes even 30 feet away.

WGT BALL THEIVES
November 3, 2016

I'm a tour pro with 76 avg. I started noticing a ball problem about a month ago. If i have 1 ball left, then buy 3, lose 1 and have 2 left! WGT is stealing balls. This has happened twice. I've had upgraded balls disappear right in the middle of a match... it just goes away. Ive not seen anything in writing indicating that these balls have a useable life.

Not a fair game.
October 17, 2016

Was fun until I reached level 70. Now the ball rarely sticks on the green and putts continuously miss by 2 or 3 inches. Drives don't go the distance even with a strong wind. 3 wood on the 2nd shot goes further. Got very boring all of a sudden.

My reason for playing was to see if I could learn something about club selection and wind. I played many rounds just to test it and found it to be pretty ambiguous. In many instances I would choose what was definitely the wrong the club, adjusting the aim and swing, and was penalized for miss hits no worse than choosing the right club and miss hitting it.

I suspect what's true is what many are saying in their reviews -- you play better not by making better choices but by spending more money.
