I am so sick and tired of this bank. I have banked with them since 2012. They are constantly declining my debit card transactions and flagging things for fraud for a general every day purchases that I make. It's embarrassing and inconvenient. I have to respond at one every single time they do this and wait a few minutes to have my card work again. Or the other day I had to answer the phone immediately after having my card declined and answer all these questions for the fraud department. It was just an every day purchase that they decided to stop.
I have never had a single check held from this bank and I deposited a $750 check that I needed desperately to post to my account through mobile deposit. Wells Fargo decided they were going to put a hold on it…today is July 24 that it was originally Written for. First, Wells Fargo told me I needed to call US Bank, who issued the check and find out why they are refusing payment. After three hours of on and off the phone, I called Wells Fargo back after clarifying the check was cashed the previous day according to their records. The next banker told me that, they can't ask for payment again until August 3 because there was a discrepancy in the check. Different answers, the second representative was sarcastic and rude to me. US bank released these funds already, and then Wells Fargo wasted three hours of my day and lied to me. I am closing all of my accounts. I am done with this bank, I will go somewhere else that I can trust and so should everybody else! Wells Fargo should not be trusted with your money leave them immediately!

They send you invitations to open an account get $325.
They pretend to help you to transfer monthly deposit but drag it so long till 3 months is over. Then say sorry we can't give you $325 no such deposit happened. If you close the account they send you another invitation but decline to honor $325 promise.

Called to dispute a charge on my credit card. They keep disconnecting the call and never call back. And when i finally was able to file a claim, they said it would be 5 to 10 days to see the credit back in my account! 2 weeks later i see nothing and when i call back, they again disconnect the call! And the claims department was rude and after i complained to him that its been two week and 5 calls for one simple dispute, he said there is nothing i can do and hung up the phone on me! Trash!
I advise anyone that is banking with Wells Fargo they should rethink of choosing another bank or don't all keep all your funds in one bank because they decided to close my checking account without notice I had to call to see why my account was frozen while I was out of town but had the audacity to keep my credit card open to still charge me $30 a month with available credit. It don't matter how long you've banking with them or how you've shown them loyalty because they'll still close the door on you.
I made $1000 deposit with mobile deposit over the weekend, it released $400 and put the rest on hold, which is what I expected. What I didn't expect was for them on Tuesday to take back the $400, leaving my account in arrears! Now they're going to wait another 15 days before they try to check again! Reason noted inline was that the (billion dollar) insurance company had had a problem with a returned check. Seriously?
Six hours over three days trying to get to the bottom of it, and when I finally was transferred and moved up to a top level person, she was incredibly rude and simply hung up on me. I never received a call back.

I don't know why people bank with them but it's the worst bank I have ever banked with. They held a bank transfer made to me for over a month and kept giving me stories. Every costumer care agent I called just lied to thier teeth and the loss prevention department is the worst. I wish i didn't do business with them. They told me they were waiting for the banks that made the transfer to me respond to them. I even called those banks and made them call Wells Fargo but they still lied. Whoever banks with that bank is doom for failure
WTF! We've been with WF for more years than I can remember. We stuck with them through the thick and thin of lawsuits, had our home mortgage with them as well as our daily accounts of savings, checking and credit cards. It's probably time to find another bank. In the last 2 months they've cancelled both of our debit cards without authorization or prior notice. It's a royal pain in the $#*! to have to log into all of our auto-pay accounts to establish the new cards and just yesterday they blocked an $80.00 purchase online. Never mind that we routinely pay bills or make purchases of $500 to $1,000 that sail on through, but an $80.00 purchase was blocked and a temporary hold was placed on my card. I suspect the same is true with my wife's card, since I tried to complete the purchase with hers and it was denied. I have to call customer service when my wife is back home to get her authorization to check the status regarding her card. I'm getting sick and tired of having to deal with this bank, their customer service (if you want to call it that) and their idiot ways of trying to protect my account FROM ME. Beware and be looking for a new bank-we are.
The location on Lake Pleasant pkwy and 83rd Ave in Peoria decided they no longer will have drive thru available, and when I went to the lobby there were 9 people in line with 2 tellers.
3 days later, 75th Ave & Bell location same scenario, drive thru permanently closed but they do have a lobby attendant advising people of other locations available. 3 ppl in line ahead of me, 2 tellers available, 20 min total wait to be helped. Frustrating.
Hi there for the most part my bank has been pretty good about keeping promises I've had my identity stolen maybe in the last six weeks and they have done absolutely nothing to protect me and when they promise your money is going back into your account you never see it well this last time it didn't a third of it showed up but not all of it I'm beginning to believe I'm not going to see it I'm very disappointed and angry
This is by far the worst bank system ever, from customer service to logging in to their,useless online service. EVERYTHING! Even their own customer service can't get other branches to pick up, they simply just don't answer emails or calls. Logging in: almost each time if logging in on a different day (after you call to get logging in assistance and you, finally, get to log in) you have to call customer service again, if you don't log on for a week or so cause you will get locked out again and again. I have been with them for more than 5 years same problem from day one. Hate having to log online cause I know it will cost at least half an hour trying to get customer service to pick up- complain? You can't they will give you the run around; That's why I have no place but here, feedback? They don't care. One of the only places that doesn't care for your feedback cause they KNOW it won't be good. If you have too many "issues" they will simply hang up the phone, cause they don't have to worry about feedback--. GARBAGE! Wellsfargo= well far away you need to go
They tell you you have no pending transactions yet withdrawals/transactions won't actually pull from your account until it will make you negative. I've tested it time and time again, keep track of my money in an excel sheet and they will NOT pull it until it will make you negative so you have to pay their fees
I been with them since 2015 and I'm so tired of them they are the worst bank ever! I have spoken to over 15+ people about my claim they denied it, all my money was stolen from me and I have been going through hell to get my funds back. It's so frustrating and nobody cares. I am 84 year old, they would not let me go to my locker without appointments, it's hard to get appointments, there was no customer was in locker room & there was no body in lobby waiting to go to locker. All worker in bank was completely free. So I had to go back. I had important documents to get it from locker which will cost me heavily now. There service was very very horrible & unprofessional. I would not recommend to do any banking with Wellsfargo bank
My wife's purse and vehicle were stolen. We called immediately and reported her card stolen. I was traveling for work and said since her card and my card are different numbers just cancel hers. The I turn canceled both of our cards. Since then we received our new cards and I have noticed the car wash my wife got a monthly card wash with her car that was stolen somehow is able to keep charging our account even though the card is a completely different number. Wells Fargo says yep since it was a reoccurring payment it can automatically charge the new card. Apparently it does no good to talk to them or replace a card. I will be switching banks to something more secure. It is bad enough to feel violated by the thefts that happened to my wife but then to get the trust violated by your bank during that time makes it worse.
Wells Fargo doesn't have any access to these accounts in the branch. They have to be accessed on the phone, if you go into a branch they will simply call the 1800 number with you if you have an appointment. I tried to deposit a check from my account into a different bank, they had to wait until the next day to call the 1800 number for Wells Fargo before they could deposit this check, because they can't call the branch. The 1800 number offers different information each time with little to no consistency. Each person I talked to had their own version of what company policy was. Each of the letters I have received seem written by frustrated personnel that don't care about you or your concern. No one is concerned that a simple IRA account transfer at any other bank would take 2 weeks or less, and for Wells Fargo it took 7 months. My other account lost money during this time, and when I brought that up to several different employees in the phone, two of them straight up said they are a bank and they can't, won't do anything about that because they don't have goods to purchase. The other bothered to ask about it, and the letter in response said they don't care. Will never go back.
If youre thinking about entrusting wells fargo with your money please think again. They are thieves! Money was stolen from my account almost 400$ and I filed a claim to have that money returned to me. Wells Fargo Credited my account only to send me a letter that they will be taking that money back because THEY DECIDED that the money wasnt stolen. Ive been a customer with them since 2014 and its unfortunate that our relationship will be ending today.
Wells Fargo stealing money out of people's checking accounts only the tip of ice berg in their corruption. Last time I look there were 48 different separate lawsuits against them for different issues.In my case they are charging me 6 extra years of morgage payments for mistakes they made.It took 3 yrs for them to do it and terrorized me at the same time. All the bankers I dealt with I think were fired for corruption. They have recently lost 48 locations in my state(Pa) and have been forced to sell many accounts and have a freeze on new accounts.They are total criminals and all the bail out money given to them in 2008-2009 was basically kept by the bank
I received disaster area check from flood insurance since the mortgage holder is Wells Fargo they needed to be an endorsee on the check which they received on July 3rd, 2023. Unfortunately, to date they have not processed the funds to date and this is after being told a check would be released to me on July 6. This is unacceptable, what a lousy bank to do business with, when other folks in my area told me there mortgage release partial funds to them immediately to begin repairs. So after 10 days i was told this morning that they can even look at my case until someone is assigned and it will be another 24 to 48 hours before that happens. I rated Wells Fargo a 1 because I could not go lower but looking at there overall ratings on 1.7 it seems this bank does not care.
