I made a purchase last month from Microcenter(they run their financing through well fargo) as soon as I got home I setup autopay. 1st I couldn't directly set it up through their app even though they say manage your hills setup autopay see new Services in their adverisements. Got directed to their oficial website. Was able to setup auotpay their at least I thought so. I received a confirmation email and actual mail stating I had setup autopay and my first payment would be taken out today Aug 17th. This morning I get notified that they could not take the payment olu even though I have the funds in my account available. So I call well Fargo and they tell me oh well even though the email, regular mail app and web site all say the fiddt payment will be taken out aug17th they really aren't going to take it out till sept 17th ir maybe Oct 17th. This isn't the firdt time I've had this issue and I let them know this is illegal and that had i not called I'd be hit with a late fee. I'm currently on hold waiting to speak to a supervisor because as usual "their supervisor aren't available" been on hold for 10 min already. I am cancelling autopay moving forward so everytime i call i can let them know how badly they are screwing all their customers on a recorded line.
Employees have 5th grade education can't read worth. A dang
Math skills even worse
A very dishonest and unreliable bank should be shut down permanently
I am recently married, my wife has been a local customer of Wells Fargo for many years. She wanted to change her last name to mine and they refuse. We took in a marriage license, passport, drivers license, and social security card on 5 occasions, one after the other, not good enough. We did not bring them in all at the same time, which is their problem. We came back over and over with the documents and they sent us away because, I suppose, we did not have them in a file. The marriage license is on the county website used by all governmental agencies. The Drivers license is good for ID in any airport and we used it at the social security office. She is 76 so I can only suppose age discrimination. We don't want to leave our local bank but they do not appear to want our business.
Are you looking for a new bank? Well, look no further! Choose any bank but Wells Fargo, the worst bank ever.
At Wells Fargo, you're not guaranteed to get your money back for any reason, and the fees you pay are often higher than other banks. Plus, their customer service is unreliable and their interest rates are too low to make a real return on your money.
It's time to make your money work for you. Choose a bank that offers low fees, high interest rates, and reliable customer service. With the right bank, your money can go further and you can get the most out of it.
Do your research and compare banks before you make your decision. Look for banks with low fees, no hidden costs, and high interest rates. Also, make sure the bank you choose offers reliable customer service and a secure online banking system.
No matter which bank you choose, you can rest assured that your money will be safe and you'll get the most out of it. Don't go with Wells Fargo! Choose any other bank and make sure you have a low as possible and they hope you get your money back for any reason.
Ridiculously low limits to transfer my own cash to another bank.
Customer service is terrible. Most employees are clueless.
Cannot even do a simple name change online or via mail.
Have to visit a branch to do even the simplest task. The nearest branch is located several hours from me.
Keep your money elsewhere.
My mother was a victim of wire fraud with Wells Fargo. Wells Fargo is not any help at all in resolving this matter of *******.00 in wire fraud. They will not share any information with us on this matter.as required by law. The only thing that they are protecting is there own well being and have no customer loyalty. We will be forced to file a lawsuit against Wells Fargo to resolve this is matter. I would not recommend Wells Fargo if you want to protect your finances, because they are not looking out for your sense of security they are only interested in Wells Fargo and definitely not the customer. I only gave them a 1 star rating because that is the lowest rating that is allowed.
Their rate was an absurd 1.5% for one year CD, but they offered me a "special" one- time 4.75% rate for 5 months. Ok I got one because it was easy, my money was there. But when it comes to maturity you can't avoid an auto-renew at 1.5% unless you go into the bank. Then they will offer you a special favor and renew again at 4.75%. Ok. I made an appointment two days before renewal but on arrival I was told they would not take my info until it actually matured in two days! Are you kidding? Meanwhile I discovered I can sit at my computer and buy a Wells Fargo 5.3% one year CD through my online brokerage in less than one minute! WFC refuses to give their own customers that 5.3% deal. Needless to say their business model is to rob the low information crowd. Wells Fargo Bank, Nt SD 5.3% CD 08/14/2024

Don't get fooled by a misleading promotion.
While booking a hotel room on-line, I was presented with an offer to get a Wells Fargo credit card and a $150 credit towards my account. I applied for the Wells Fargo Credit Card and was approved. Although I could see the last 4 digits of a CC# pre-populated in the CC# of the reservation screen, the web page would not allow me to continue the booking.
I called the hotel support number and was given a support number for Wells Fargo. I talked to a Wells Fargo support person and was told they could not tell me my account number, nor could I see my account number on their on-line banking app. I asked the agent to cancel my account. I was transferred to 4 other people with Wells Fargo to finally get to a person who could cancel my newly approved card.
During this ordeal, I was given 2 phone numbers to call for support, one from the Hotel I was booking and 1 from a Wells Fargo email. Both numbers resulted in a robot asking me to enter my credit card number... the number that was never presented to me during the application process nor on the Wells Fargo website after I was approved (I had setup a Wells Fargo on-line banking account with the assumption I would see my card # in my profile).
They definitely way overcharge for interest, even if you qualify for lower interest with multiple different banks, they won't negotiate a lower interest on a card even if you've had that same card for well over a decade. Many card issuers will renegotiate a lower APR if you qualify, but long standing customers with Wells Fargo don't get the same curtesy, they just say oh well sorry.
On August 7th, 2023, I posted a review for the Wells Fargo Bank on Coburg Road in Eugene, Oregon. The reply I received was from Klarissa. She wanted me to email her at a different email address, "*******@wellsfargo.com", to discuss my situation at Wells Fargo. Klarissa was also asking for my phone number and my full name. She also stated that she would like more relevant details regarding my review. Klarissa, I don't have any more relevant information regarding the situation than I've already stated. It was just a frustrating situation. I am not comfortable giving out my personal information either. I ended up leaving the bank at that time. I came back later and cashed a check from a Wells Fargo member. The person who waited on me the second time was outstanding, thank you. I was very pleased with her service. She was doing her job, helping customers, and not "chit-chatting." Perhaps her supervisor could take a lesson from her.
Who was helping, what looked like a personal friend, and chatting while there are 6 people in line, doesn't look like good customer service. That is why I had to leave and come back a second time to cash a Wells Fargo check. Otherwise, I do not bank at Wells Fargo just for this reason. It is not the first time this has happened at a Wells Fargo Bank. It happens at other Wells Fargo Banks. Your employees should remember that everyone in line can see all that you are doing. Whether you are working, chatting, or laughing, everyone can see what you are or are not doing. All the while we are waiting in line with only two tellers open. While we, standing in line, are wondering why can't you help us alooso instead of chatting and laughing.
Thank you,
Tired of waiting in your line
They will hold your checks for 2/3 business days. There isn't ever a supervisor on the clock, abusive representatives. They will not work with you ever. Run from this bank. I'm closing all my accounts.
I was ripped off money with lots of physical evidence of the guy ripping me off and I filed a police report. The house is at 320 Tacoma Blvd S. Pacific, WA. *******
THEIR COMPUTER SYSTEM IS SO BAD ALONG WITH THE CUSTOMER SERVICE. THE RIGHT HAND DOESN'T KNOW WHAT THE LEFT HAND IS DOING. NO WONDER THEY GOT FINED AND IN TROUBLE WITH THE GOVERNMENT. SAVE YOURSELF THE PAIN AND FRUSTRATION OF TRYING TO RATIONALLY DEAL WITH THIS PLACE. IF I COULD GIVE A NEGATIVE STAR RATING I WOULD HAVE. DUMBEST PLACE ON EARTH.
Wells Fargo customer service is horrible. If you have a problem and you need them to help you out or fix it, they won't.
When calling to check on a dispute that I had filed, the customer rep basically scolded me because I "interrupted" him. I figured out that he just wanted very brief answers to his questions. He did not want me to speak out of turn. I complied and sheepishly answered his questions. I would call him the credit card Nazi (like the Soup Nazi in Seinfeld).
I foolishly banked at Wells Fargo for 17 years. Recently, I made a deposit and was told that the funds would be available the next day. I logged into Wells Fargo online banking the next day and saw that the funds were available. I made several payments with those funds since it showed the funds were available. 8 hours later my account was overdrawn because they placed a hold on the check AFTER they made the funds available to me. Wells Fargo lied repeatedly and told me that they placed the hold because the other bank said the check was fraudulent. The other bank told us they had released the funds immediately. Then Wells Fargo said they would release the funds if the person who wrote the check called them with the reference number they provided. The person who wrote the check called them with the reference number and they still didn't release the hold on the check. I was told by Wells Fargo that I wouldn't have to pay any fees because they placed the hold on the check. I had to pay a $30 fee for a returned check. They made me wait on hold for over an hour to tell me there was nothing they could do. They didn't release the funds for 9 days! They clearly don't care about their customers and they're shady! Do NOT bank here!
I linked my CU to Wells Fargo. Set up transfer from Wells Fargo to CU. Wells Fargo said won't work. It did

I had an auto policy with a large auto Insurance carrier. I purchased a newer vehicle and immediately notified the agency. A few days later I received an e-mail that my policy was going up by $372.00. I thought that seemed high, so I began shopping around. I found an excellent auto insurance carrier that was less expenses. I called and e-mailed the insurance agency that I was switching carriers in 2 weeks.
The next day I received an e-mail from the carrier stating that since I was leaving before my six-month period, I would have a balance of $334.32 for early termination. I guess they needed my money.
Since I had auto-pay I decided to contact Wells Fargo for a stop payment of those funds.
I contacted Wells Fargo and gave the customer service representative the following information:
The name of the auto business
The amount that would be charged
The date that the attempt would be made
That representative assured me that the stop payment would block the charge.
A week later I contacted Wells Fargo again and spoke to Corey, a supervisor that promised me those funds would not be deducted.
The next day those funds WERE deducted. So much for Wells Fargo and their assurances.
I contacted Wells Fargo to ask how this could have happened. Everyone I spoke to state those funds should not have been released.
Their final excuse was that the name of the auto companies was improperly typed into the Stop Payment.
I am leaving Wells Fargo
I've been a Wells Fargo business customer for 15 years. 3 weeks ago I had a fraudulent ACH from my account for $2600. I immediately called wells Fargo to report the fraud. I followed up two days later to make sure they were investigations. I was told I would reimbursed the amount of the fraud within 10 business days and there is no more to do on my end. Today I received a letter that the fraud was not reported quick enough and I would not be reimbursed. Thanks for nothing Wells Fargo. Looks like Monday morning I will be withdrawing all funds from you and opening new accounts with another bank. Terrible customer service and do not protect your customers.
Answer: Scam. They are being sued for $2 billion dollars related to unscrupulous business practices.
Answer: No, Wells Fargo does not respond to requests. They lost my forms several times.
Answer: No racist scammers. Holding fake interviews to minorities who they have no business giving a job to.
