Man, all you have to do is go where they say it's going to hit. Your guaranteed to have good weather. Gov Scout should send them the bill for evacuating a state. It's
Probably going to hit Houston again... and those guys on location. DRAMA QUEENS.
We get worse storms at 4pm during summer here. Spreading it on so thick.
That's got to be the best job ever though. Wrong day after day, waste millions of dollars and you don't get fired. I guess their not that dumb after all...
They like to scare people and start all these crazy madhouse rushes for everything, they had no idea where this storm was going, but managed to scare the $#*! out of alot of people. They need to tone it down alittle and not report like they do!
Can't access just maps you want anymore for things like hurricane info, it's all videos and ads. They need to do something else. They suck at providing weather information.
Beyond believable - the advertisements that run constantly and repeatedly are horrible, but the amount of 'stuff that doesn't even work (picture slides, videos, etc.) is stunning for a site that should be the best. Hire someone with vision and intelligence to run the site, not the night-school programmers you apparently employ.
Why do you run ads during a major catastrophe? Trying to locate lost aunt in Houston, scanning vids in case she's spotted. All i get are ads!
Too many super loud annoying commercials, worthless video clips, and weird commentators. I frantically try and turn down the loud commercial volume, and after the long commercial is over, all I get is a short useless video clip. What a joke.
The radar map jerks around and takes a long, long time to load. Is it too many map layers? Or too many ads? I don't know but it's way too slow.
I'm a weather nut, and have been glued to the weather channel since it came out, But Weather.com is the slowest site I have ever seen... It also taxes my computer way more than any other site. I have a very fast computer, and download speeds of 240mb/s as far as internet speed, yet this page never loads in a timely fashion.
If there was a tornado warning i needed to see, it would be too late by the time your page loaded, haha. Sorry Weather Channel, but unless I'm watching TV, I'm done with you!
Takes to long to load Takes to long to T akes to long to load! LTak TakeTakes to long to loads to long to loades t T akes to long to load! O long to loadoad T akes to lon T akes to long to load! G T akes to lon T akes to long to load! G to load! To load! T akes to long to load!
I agree with what so many others have said about the unacceptable slowness of the site and the map. When people need weather reports, they need them now. If anyone knows of a better weather site, I would love to hear about it.
Greedy ad heavy waste of time! Waaaaaaaaaaay to long to load information needed for safety in regards to severe weather.
IT SUCKS, that is all there is to say, every page takes forever to load. I need a radar that loads fast! Not something that I would be endanger of being hit by a massive storm front before the page loads. WHAT A JOKE. NBC IS ALL ABOUT THE MONEY, and YOU SUCK. YOU ARE THE BIGGEST JOKE ON TV, AND THE INTERNET.
For those of you who don't know, when weather.com started going down hill, it was because nbc bought it. They don; t care about you, all they care about is the MONEY!
Was a great website years back. Now the radar map freezes up before it even loads. Weather.com has become a totally useless site.
Doesn't refresh the Map, very slow! The same problem on On several PCs. Looking for a different website to start using them. Very disappointed..
Love the forecasts and analysis, but it takes so long to load that I no longer use the website. I have a business line with 65 Mbps download speed and it is slow. I can only image that a slower connection would make the site useless.
Wow! This has to be the slowest moving web site on the internet. I went to check out my local radar and it took 10 minutes to load? No thanks... Went to accuweather.
I JUST CLICKED ON A LINK THAT SAID "TWIN HURRICANES ARE ABOUT TO GET TOO CLOSE TO EACH OTHER? I CLICK THE LINK WHICH WAS THE FIRST MISTAKE. IT TURNED OUT TO BE 2 TROPICAL DEPRESSIONS. YOUR SITE LOADS SLOWER THAN FACEBOOK. AND THAT IS SAYING SOMETHING.
When porn websites filled to the brim with junk and endless pop ups load quicker than a weather site, there is something wrong. Sites in EU load quicker than weather.com.
Not to mention, there is endless amounts of clickbait links filled with spam.
Use Wunderground or NOAA instead.
In 1996 when I was in college I used the Weather Channel website in the computer lab to check out the drive from Birmingham, AL to Boone, NC to have some fun at Happy Appy over the weekends... it was probably dial up tech. I would zoom in and out of the radar maps to understand where the storms were... it took 5 to 10 seconds... then I was off on the road. 21 years later for the last six months on my high end performance computers/high speed internet I can barely if ever zoom in and out on the radar maps "Mapbox" / *hitbox and other crazy things happen to my computers. So basically 1996 WC is better than 2017 WC.
Just takes forever to load now that they've added so much the last few years. Used to be a great website but now they just have to add so much to be "updated" they've ruined it. We don't need all the bells and whistles when it comes to our weather forecast and radar. Just like the tv station has started showing programs at times instead of the weather. Sigh. Just like MTV used to have music. Never understand why they do stuff like that.
Answer: Won't get any better. They now force you to turn off your ad blocker or you can't use the site. Move on!
Answer: That's not a question.
