As others have noted, once upon a time weather.com once was terrific but now is quite slow with surprisingly high amounts of intrusive advertising. It's also become difficult to specify one's location, so we all keep seeing weather forecasts for Washington, DC. As for content, it appears that these people misjudge the appetite an average person has for browsing largely irrelevant weather/climate trivia. I'm also a little bugged by their practice of naming winter storms which gives rise (perhaps intentionally) to confusion with the National Weather Service. I suggest www.weather.gov

I give up on this site.
September 1, 2018

This site is mostly used for convenience, but it can also can save lives in severe weather. Only problem is... by the time it loads the storm will have already killed you! Advertises should realise their ads are only pissing people off!

This website has evolved into the worst possible website/band width hog ever conceived. Phishing ads, click bait, slow loads. Its a shame because it used to be a reliable source of information. And they apparently don't care, because its just getting worse.

This website is so poorly designed that waiting for it to load takes the patience of a monk! Whenever I touch an option, 10 minutes later it loads something different and directs me to where I didn't want to go. How frustrating!

Accurate sometimes
August 9, 2018

Personally its never been to off but its not always accurate. I use this app/website most times just to know what the temp is. I don't use it for future temps because I don't trust it.

All the ads overload my computer. Everything takes forever to load, and freezes up my browser. Lots of videos I don't care about just to try to get to my forecast. Radar is useless, haven't been able to get it to work for 2 years.

Hot Garbage!
July 27, 2018

Site is infested with ads. Even with a gigabit internet connection, site loads slowly, radar is worse than ever and inaccurate. Go elsewhere... anywhere! Such a disappointment! They used to be much better. Glad to see I'm not the only one that thinks this site should go away for good!

Sad weather.com
July 20, 2018

I had to take weather.com off my list of favorites. It takes forever to load, if at all, and half of the links lead to 404 pages. Given the reviews here, they have lost at least 3/4 of their users. You would think they would take the hint and fix the damn website.

I've used Weather.com on and off for years, but no more. As a regular user and full-time web developer, the site is extremely poor. It takes 30 seconds to a minute to fully load due to the obnoxious numbers of scripts, ads and other junk loading in the background. The articles are sensational, and I often have to "search" for weather in more than a few steps in order to find the forecast for my region. The site has turned into Heavy-r with weather thrown in.

When I load up the page, I don't want to be delayed or have the page skip around while it renders itself. I just want to see my weather forecast. Don't need to see beached whales or exploding tour boats hit by lava. Get in, get out is the idea here.

I'm abandoning that site. It is far too meddlesome for users to be useful anymore.

Weather.com used to be a great resource for *surprise* the weather! Now it is all videos, ads and stories frightening, doom-and-gloom, stories that are remotely tied to weather. Nothing loads... it is garbage now.

The website is very slow to load and the live map section never works correctly. Scrolling up and down on a macbook is also an issue with ads on the right hand side that somehow interact with this.

Weather.com is trying to go out of business, as they have designed their website so that it effectively never loads. I am looking for an alternative. My local tv stations look like my alternative. The owners of weather channel need to be writing pink slips for the people who manage their online presence, and interviewing replacements. Just looked up the wikipedia article on weather.com. It seems that controlling interests also own weather underground. Is weather.com being undermined in order to promote weather underground?

If the management of this web page is not able to resolve the problems so many customers are complaining about, they should just apologize to all of us and resign. Even for those of us who are willing to wait forever for the page to come up, many times the map never comes up or comes up gray with no weather, roads and locations showing! Very inept company. Hard to believe something like this could even exist.

Unusable

Long running scripts time out and cause information not to delay. It has gotten slower, and sloowwer, and slooowwwer. Really sad as it was the best weather site.

Everytime I look at my phone the weather place totally does not match what is outside my window. Nor does it tell me correctly what is going to happen during the day. It said no rain for today, but I just got dumped on by a weather bomb as I stepped out of my car to catch my public transport. I wish Samsung had not automatically linked with this app. Give me something else that actually works in my part of the world which is the Southern Hemisphere and works when I'm travelling the rest of the world.

I stopped using Weather/com years ago. When I asked them why so slow they blew me off multiple time said it was my computer. You don't deserve people if you lie to them all the time. Tried website again afters years away. Still horribly slow. Just go away already.

Very bad app, takes forever to change to see radar vs daily forcast. I waited 5 minutes for the radar to come up, then it said nothing was there and it was pouring outside with a big line of thunderstorms with green and orange from another site. Web page is just as bad, you cant see the weather because it takes to long to load, to many advertisements. Weather.com you need to upgrade if your going to be the biggest weather station out there... Sheila Townsend Topeka, KS

I have a fast Internet connection and the site is still soooooo slow. Wasn't always like that. Useless to try to check the radar in motion. Have stopped using the site entirely.

I'd expect the number one weather station to provide something useful to it's users on it's internet platform. Too bad they decided to fill 90% of the page with useless ads and clickbait articles, causing it to be both visually unappealing and very slow to use. I don't even bother pulling the site up on my phone now, as I can't even navigate it without accidentally clicking on an ad or a crappy article

Painfully slow loading and it does not update properly for example if you are on hourly and press 10 day it won't switch unless you do a refresh which takes over a minute. Not worth the aggravation. It's too bad it used to be a good site but something happened over there.
