The site now sucks big time. It was my favorite weather check in site until recently. Now it is just plain stupid.
I could go out to the kitchen and get a sandwich while waiting for the pages to load. To get to the 10 day forecast requires a big time commitment. If I check another city out of curiosity it makes that city my home page. The dramatic headlines on the home page are ridiculous.The ads are awful and slow down he whole process. I hate the site.
Cancelled my $#*!ing plans because of the weather and then they changed the forecast they change them on the $#*!ing day of my plans to clear weather.
I am desperately looking for another weather site. We have used this one forever but it takes forever to load and if you try to click on the page you want, to soon, an add will suddenly be under where you clicked and you will be redirected to the add. Then you have to wait forever for your original page to reload again! I hate this website.
I used to love weather.com. Used it at home, on my cell... everywhere! I loved it! I would spend an hour watching videos too.
Now, I have removed it and am using WeatherBug again. I can't be the only one. They must be seeing an enormous drop in their customer viewing base.
First, the length and frequency of the advertisements are brutal. The new commercial representing DOVE SOAP, sealed the deal. Cute girl, not her fault. But, this commercial is extremely loud and long. And it is shown over and over, before each video? UGH! I am forced to leave the site. No snow video is worth the torture.
Second, the huge amount of advertisements on my cell phone prevent me from viewing what I want to see... the weather. Are you kidding me? This was so annoying that I deleted the app in anger.
$#*!s. Really, it makes people angry. They have taken away a fantastic website from us. They are only concerned about shoving advertising down our throats. The person(s) who made all these horrible changes at Weather.com? Fire them.
Goodbye weather.com... you greedy selfish bastards.
I have been using this $#*! fest for a year now and this bull$#*! continuously seems to $#*! me in the $#*! when it comes to accuracy who ever is in charge of this $#*!ery needs to suck my $#*!
The weather channel is so slow because IBM book the technology and now using Watson which is slowing the site down.
Does weather.com have an IT dept? The site is RIDICULOUS. I'm not talking about the accuracy of the forecast but the site itself takes forever to load. There are a thousand different ads and pop ups and images that has nothing to do with the forecast you are looking for. What complete IDIOTS are running this site? I don't think there is a word to describe the incompetency of the dumb clowns behind this site.
I've used weather.com happily on my Samsung for years but they really screwed the pooch now. The site is abyssmaly slow and now has stopped working. Even when it was still working, about half the screen was cluttered with ads. Ok, they're entitled to pay the bills somehow, but the marketeers have gone beserk now. Although I can't prove it, the degradation over time seems directly proportional to the amount of cr*p they cram into it. I've given up on them and now use Accuweather (at least until they get greedy too).
Weather.com has very reliable weather coverage here in Ohio.
The interface is a little clunky and occasionally has glitches that make certain pages not load. I have also noticed the site down a couple times that I want to check in the last couple months.
The paid advertising is awful on this site so be careful when you are clicking around you might click on some paid content that looks like a weather.com article.
Overall If used solely for weather updates the website does its function well.
This site keeps changing but not for the better. The weather maps are constantly changing and they keep getting worse. We use to get world clouds and satellite maps. Not any more. It would be nice to have a weather site that would just tell me the high and low temp of the day, but they can not even do that.Or even the current rain fall. As weather reporters you suck!
I have never seen the weather channel cover New Mexico... they skip our state and go to the north of us or to Texas... never ONCE mentioning the weather impact in New Mexico... COME ON PEOPLE... WE ARE PART OF THE UNITED STATES TOO!
These "meteorologist" over there are idiots or just changing the forecast on purpose... They always change the for every 2 or 5 minutes!
TO THE WEATHER CHANNEL: YOU SUCK AND YOU NEED TO BE SHUT DOWN
This website can't get any more wrong every single time. They predict 5-8 inches of snow for the night, and guess what $#*!ing happens. We get $#*!ING nothing. They are never EVER right. Do not use this website if you are trying to look up your weather. Just wait until it happens.
These people are off the charts. We're so I begin? From the trying to predict a week out, to changing the forecast every five minutes. They cannot even get one day straight. In all seriousness don't waste your time and they should really just take the app down, as a door knob has better luck predicting the weather.
This week, the country is in for above average temperatures through November. Last month, the Southeast was going to be below average temperatures. Now there's the polar vortex where a portion of the country will be freezing.
Can you guys stop predicting the future when you cannot even get an entire week straight?
Never plan any event and rely on a forecast from this organization. They change their forecast every couple hours. It could be an hour away and they would forecast 0 percent chance of rain with a torrential downpour within seconds of arriving. It's amazing these people keep their jobs.
