I have placed 4 orders from Wayfair over the past several years. A loveseat, 2 leather recliners, 3 raised wooden planters, and 1 metal plant cart. So far, everything has been received damaged except the raised wooden planters (I haven't put them together yet). Wayfair was kind and helpful with the couch and recliners and made it right in both cases. The metal cart came with scratches, but I have already put it together and am not bothering to turn it in. The plant pots should hide the damage. It's simply frustrating to receive damaged things.
I purchased for dining chairs I measured the dining table and my old chairs before buying the new chairs they arrived, almost 4 inches shorter than mentioned on the website. When I contacted customer service about wanting to return the item, I was told that it would cost me $70 to ship it back and I have to ship it back through FedEx despite they shipped it with UPS why do I have to pay because they lied in the description of the product?why do I have to pay because they lied in the description of the product
I ordered over $3,000 worth of furniture because I was moving into a new house and I wanted almost all new furniture. I also paid extra to have someone come in and put the bed together. The mattress came in first. A week later the bed finally comes in and the person that is supposed to build it wasn't scheduled to come for 3 more days. I wait the 3 days and he says he's there to put the dresser together not the bed in which it took him over 4 hours to put the dresser together. My first sign. Thankfully I had a friend put my bed together for me. No the living room furniture. I ordered everything March 7th. Here it is March 30th and they said it'll be another 3 to 4 weeks. The same thing they said when I called a week ago. They also said if I wanted a refund it'll take 3-4 weeks to put it back on my card. So either way I'm screwed. My living room is a big space with a TV and some fold up chairs in it right now. Thanks alot wayfair. I would not recommend buying furniture from them at all.
Absolutely shocking. I placed my order on the 8th of January and still haven't received all my items.
This is terrible service and will never recommend this site to anyone again.
I would avoid using this site if you have a time frame to complete a job.
I will definitely never order from Wayfair again. Ordered a living room set at the beginning of February and it is March 28 I just received my living room set. They supposedly sent a living room set a month ago but got damaged in the travels. They said that I would receive my living room set in about 2 weeks if I chose to to get the living room set still. I chose to get the living room set. Well needless to say everytime I would call Wayfair about my furniture I would get a run around saying that my furniture furniture was being shipped. Then I inquired about a refund they said I would have to wait til the furniture was shipped to were ever it was supposed to be shipped to them it would have to be shipped back to them then I would get my refund. So I chose to keep the furniture. I felt like they were holding my money hostage. It's messed up when they can get there money but I can't receive my merchandise when needed. I would much rather go through a Goodwill then to order from them again. This was one of my worst experiences ever. Then when I made the appointment for my furniture to be delivered to my house which was in a Saturday the delivery driver said they called and left a message and waited 10 minutes for a call back. Which they never even called and left a message so I had to wait another 3 days for my furniture. I can't get over how terrible this was. Like I said I would much rather deal with Goodwill than to ever go through this again and for a rating I give them a negative.
I will never shop there again. Never know the quality of what you get. I got a bad item I needed to return which I had to pay to return. I asked on the website to return my money to my credit card which was how I paid. NO! I received a Wayfair credit. They didn't have what I was looking for. Sat with that credit for years.
On 3/7/23 I placed a large order of Approximately $ 4,700.00 for floating deck material.
My email confirmation stated the delivery would be between 3/16/23 - 3/24/23. ( order # *******715)
On 3/18/23 I called to check on the order. I was told it had shipped out of Canada but they had no other information.
Today being 3/27/23 I called for another update. I was told a file was open on 3/18/23 to find out more information. I asked what they had found and she said nothing. She said Wayfair had no idea of the status of my order.
So they are a week late on the delivery, have no idea where it stands, never emailed me any updates, nor has anyone called me with any updates.
This is the worst customer service from any company I have ever experienced.
I guess this is why everyone orders on Amazon!
I will be at the local lumber store tomorrow and if I find anything close to what Wayfair has I will be cancelling my order regardless of any updates from them
I give them a negative 5 for a rating.
Absolutely frustrating. I ordered a bed but Wayfair would not schedule the delivery to suit my availability. Instead Wayfair uses Fed Ex which does not offer a way of working the delivery around the customer's schedule. In order not to lose the sale, Wayfair tells you it's possible to arrange a "vacation hold" with Fed Ex. I tried it and it failed miserably. Despite all the time I spent trying to manipulate a Fed Ex delivery date, they brought it two days early and dumped the 60 pound box in front of my building. This of course after Wayfair told me it would be in 2 (lighter) boxes. I had to rearrange my schedule just to haul the thing inside. Then I tried to order "expert assembly" and again found out that Wayfair sends someone to assemble the furniture when it is convenient for them, not for you. Want to order furniture from Wayfair? You better make sure you have a week to sit around and wait for everything to happen on THEIR schedule because they certainly don't care what is convenient for their customers. In addition, the product specs on the website were incorrect. What a horrible disappointment. Never again.
I was lied to, toyed with, representatives could not care less. False advertising! They have royally screwed me over.
I ordered a TV stand and paid for someone to come assemble. Received email confirmation appointment would be between 7 and 11 am. Day before appointment was sent and email and text that my appointment was at 1030 am. Email included picture of the assembler. At 1130 I called because no assembler. Was first told appointment was at 230. I never authorized the moving of appointment. I chose morning as it was only time I had free.
Was told I can reschedule or cancel altogether. I canceled and am returning the tv stand. Oh yeah they wanted to charge me for returning the item. Attorney is involved with that one since return paperwork emailed to me said shipping back was free.
Not worth the hassle regardless of the price.
Waited 3 months for my couch-small tear in the leather and was offered $100 or I could repackage and they would send me a shipping label. This is a 225 lb 97" couch. Wayne E. From the Wayfair RMT group was of no help and was dishonest regarding the ability to contact him by phone. He never included his phone # in his signature until the very last email. I sent him an email conveying my dissatisfaction and my surprise at his dishonesty. I have been a longtime customer. I WILL NEVER ORDER FROM WAYFAIR AGAIN. Shoppers beware! Wayfair Order #*******135
The first item I purchased from them never showed up. They never responded and I had to go through PayPal to get my money back. I decided to give them the benefit of the doubt and ordered from them again just today. About 5 minutes after I placed my order I got a phone call. It was from a woman introducing herself as being from Wayfair and was trying to get me to buy some offer for businesses that they had. I do not own a business. I did a search on the number they had called from me and it had been reported many times as a telemarketer number.
My order placed to an address that does not exist. Part of that is on me. Most of it is on Wayfair's software. When I placed my order I typed in my new address and by the time I placed the order, the address that confirmed was an address that does not exist in the United States. The address was from my old home and the city, state, and zip were from my new home. Wayfair sent the confirmation email with the incorrect address. I didn't even notice until today when I received a notification that the package was delivered, except it wasn't. Wayfair sent the package to the old address without notifying me of the change, OR even notifying me that the address that was typed in DOES NOT EXIST! I spoke with Customer Service and after a lot of back and forth, they said there was nothing they could do even though their software approved the incorrect address. So now my packages are 2,600 miles away sitting at my old apartment building. Yes, part of this was my error, but I'm more worried about their software accepting addresses that do not exist and then choosing where to send the packages without letting customers know of the change...
AWFUL CUSTOMER SERVICE, AWFUL CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE. WILL NEVER BE ORDERING FROM THIS PLACE AGAIN. WASTED 3 WEEKS OF MY TIME THINKING MY ORDER IS BEING DELIVERED TO SAY NO ITS DAMAGED, SORRY BYE. NOW MY ITEM IS ON BACKORDER EVERYWHERE. HAVE SOME HONOR WHEN YOU ADVERTISE SOMETHING
- Fraudulent advertising, and inaccurate website description by Wayfair.
- Purchase was easy with Wayfair, but returns are a nightmare.
- Not recommended to purchase from Wayfair as their customer support team, and policies can not own up mistakes. They won't make amends and keep aggravating customer distress even when they are at fault.
- Wayfair is trying to rip me off with an exorbitant return shipping fees for an item which was incorrectly (fraudulently) advertised on their website.
- Horrible customer care practices, should be avoided!
Several months ago, we received a lovely black vanity/sink my husband had ordered for me, as a gift, and that has looked great in my NYC bathroom. Unfortunately, where the cabinet base and the left door meet the black finish has been disappearing in favor of a white undersurface. When I called Customer Service, the very pleasant and seemingly well-meaning employee said the Wayfair repair unit would call me to check out and repair the finish. Instead, the repair unit called my husband and told him to call the manufacturer. How would we even do that? I seem to have no recourse but to get black nail polish to cover the white undercoat. I had anticipated that the Wayfair repair unit would quickly fix the problem and provide whatever finish we would need if we later saw the same issue on a different section of this wood vanity with black finish. We don't know what the finish is: maybe black paint with a varnish or shellac finish? I think my husband's gift to me cost over $700 not counting the faucets we purchased from Build.com. I have no idea how black nail polish would work out. I have purchased a number of other household items from Wayfair in my own name and been pleased.
Recently, I received a damaged or possibly used item. I returned it and told I had returned a different item. I now only I'm stuck with the money they paid for the item as they kept the item and left me with nothing. I reached out to the executive resolutions team for over a month until this day they have refused to return any phone calls or emails.
Horrible quality on products. Photos are misleading on the quality. I spent 35 dollars on express shipping for the last product just to have it delivered 5 days later than promised, they wouldn't refund this and are even making me pay for return shipping. My plumber had to use a different product and I had to pay an extra plumbers fee for their failure.
I placed an order for 3 tables. I only received one. It was obvious based on weight only 1 was sent. I called customer service and was told I had to wait 3 days and call back before they could resend the 2 tables that were showing available on their site. I called 3 days later and was told they are sold out and won't have them back in stock till next year. I would never had ordered the tables if I couldn't get 3. In order to refund all 3 I would have to take apart the one I did receive and ship it back. I asked to speak to a manager and the manager refused to speak to me. I have ordered many times before but I'm done! Customer service is not like it used to be!
You will recieve your merchandise broken or never at all. The only thing customer service will do is make notes in the system.
Answer: Ive ordered several things and I believe they've all had pictures on outside- sorry.
Answer: No, they will take returns, but you pay fees. As for poor quality, I guess we just swallow it.
Answer: From my experience, this is company is to be avoided. Sounds like your life will be hectic enough for awhile so you don't need additional stress. Buy elsewhere is my advice.
Answer: Need to call Customer Service ( a/k/a Customer Disservice) about any issue. Expect to be disappointed, but they may honor it. Best to avoid Wayfair in the future.
Answer: Suggest calling Customer Service aka Customer disservice. A word of advice: buy elsewhere; anywhere else. This Co. Just does not care.
Answer: Obviously their mission to become popular has worked. They don't need to be a good company anymore. They will take the money and run. When the time is right, they will close up shop and reopen with a new name. It is hard to find a business with integrity anymore.
Answer: Stay away. They do not follow up to make things right concerning your order.
Answer: Call customer service (aka customer disservice). This company should be avoided. Deal with a reputable Co like Amazon or its partners, They care.
Answer: I wouldn't order anything big from Wayfair. I had to order the same product 3 times, and each time, the product was damaged. Wayfair rhymes with nightmare for a reason.
