Worst Experience

I recently purchased a watch from Watchmaxx. It was the worst experience I have ever had in online shopping.

The watch arrived with a very odd manufacturing defect, in that the hour hand only appeared on the hour marks at 30 minutes, instead of at 60 minutes. I immediately called, and the salesperson, who had no knowledge of the watch they sold me, told me to look on YouTube to see if I could figure out the problem. This problem was so obvious that it should have been detected prior to leaving the manufacturer, if not by the various retailers it went through before making it to me via Watchmaxx. So, the whole situation was questionable from the outset.

I had sought out help from another individual at Watchmaxx after not hearing back from the first person I spoke to and was disconnected twice. So, I had to resort to email, which is absurd for solving a problem on a large purchase. Ultimately, I had to explain the problem multiple times, through email, before anyone would send me a return label. They only communicate through email.

Once I sent the defective watch back, I told them just to send out a new watch. They refused, saying they had to receive the watch and investigate the problem before they could offer any "solutions."

After having to follow up with scores of more emails, I finally received a determination that they would give me a refund because they claimed they had no replacements in stock, even though they were still selling them on their website, at a price increase from that price which I paid. No wonder they didn't want to send me another one.

SO, I wasted over two weeks, wrote countless emails, did more to solve the problem than Watchmaxx did, and ended up with nothing more than a hassle, but no watch.

This company has zero customer service and is completely ill-equipped to handle any problem. This is not what anyone needs when buying a watch.

Warranty is pure lie

I really doubt the product I received is genuine. This is an Oris Aquis I purchased fromWatchmaxx, through eBay. I did not expect a reputable Swiss watch have a time lapse of about 30 seconds a day. I also did not expect the screws are easily loosening with minimal usage. It was less than 9 months that I bought my Oris that I have lost a main screw on the bracelet where it is attached to lug. I called Watchmaxx and received the type of answer I expected: "this particular issue is not under warranty" Don't get fooled by them.

Purchased a Hamilton Khaki Auto watch from Watchmaxx. Product delivered but without the all important manual. Sent me a replacement. Wrong one. Contacted them again. Sent me the same wrong manual. Strike 2. I now have 2 wrong manuals in my possession and am awaiting for the GM to give me a call back. Simple resolution yet they are jerking me around. I guess they feel that since I'm 5K miles away they can do this. Strike 3 may slowly be approaching and they are close to losing a trusted and validated customer. Filed a complaint with BBB.

I have ordered 3 watches from watchmaxx first I ordered a Brietling super avenger 2 through Amazon sold by watch Maxx and saved $2600 the watch came beautiful packaged, then I ordered a Brietling navatimer 46 mm directly from watchmaxx and once again saved $4000 it came next day beautifully packaged. The last watch I ordered was a Brietling bently special edition and I called them and asked for more pictures and they sent them via email and also talked to them over the phone they have great customer service and answer the phone right away. My only complaint is the last watch I ordered came with no plastic protection on the watch and it had some light scratches on the band and case back. I decided because I saved like $7000 buying it from. Them that I sent it directly to Brietling USA in wilton ct to have it lightly polished. I would be more skeptical about buying from them again but would call first and make sure the watch had all the plastic on it.to have it polished and shipped will. Probably be around $200 but still saved over $7000.So latest update is I sent the watch to Brietling USA in CT they evaluated it and said the watch had low amplitude and was not working right but they said it was still under warranty apparently Brietling gives a 5 year warranty and does not care where you buy it from. The repair would have been $690.00 out of pocket and I did have to pay shipping and $210.00 out of pocket for the polish so basically if it was not under warranty total would have been $900.00 for repairs.

I've purchased Breitling Avenger Hurricane for $4900. The watch was advertised as new and authentic. I came without manufacture warranty AND without authenticity card. I tried to register my new watch on Breitling with model number and serial number - got rejected with "we can not find this watch in our system"! How possibly it can be authentic than?!? So I fund a DEFECT in them right away - the chronograph was not working properly. I made a recording, showing the problem and provided it to the WatchMaxx. They accepted return and provided me with a return label. Based on the UPS tracking WatchMaxx received my return on May 06. Sing then I beaing calling EVERY DAY - requesting my money back. Every day I am receiving different excuses and as of today, May 19 I did not received the refund!
Do not recommend watchmaxx.com

Purchased a movado from watchmaxx... its a fake I own 2 movado watches. Purchased from movado... they are made in Switzerland... not China... I want a refund. So I can go buy an actual movado... anyone who owns a real one can tell the difference horrible fake... light weight and cheap feeling.

Discount from rakuten originally worked, giving a discount of $30, but when I went to check out later it was no longer honored. I also selected next day shipping and was willing to pay $10 more for it, but it ended up dropping back to expedited shipping after submitting the order. Otherwise product and service was EXCELLENT!

Firstly please accept my apologies concerning my english, this is not my mother tongue!
I decided to buy a watch at 11 700 Euros on the manufacturer website... here at 6 450 Euros... wow!
Everything was ok to place the order.
I paid by bank wire which allows again a 2.5% more discount.
I asked several questions about delay, shipment method... to the WatchMaxx team.
I found it sometimes too long to answer... but Miriam, Jack and Mark absolutely well done the job!
Beginning to have any doubts, I had a look at the different reviews and feedbacks on the web.
Most of them are very good and others are so bad!
And unfortunately I focalized on the bad experiences of purchasers.
Once parcel was ready to be shipped, I received the tracking number from WatchMaxx for UPS.
But I was frozen when I saw that the weight of the was 1 LBS.
Why? Because I saw a bad feedback about that!
Frankly it was hard to sleep during the last 2 nights because I was afraid about what I would receive, and what I paid 6 450 Euros for.
I contacted the team which told me that label of 1 Lbs could be 4 or 5 Lbs (which corresponds to the weight of the heavy luxury box with the watch).
I accepted to understand but with all my doubts.
And parcel has been (very quickly) received early in the morning.
When UPS guy came at the door, the size of the parcel reassured me!
I was stressed to open the parcel.
And what a marvelous surprise... everything was here!
Box, papers... and the watch for sure!
THIS WAS PERFECT!
I hope that my feedback can reassure you to buy with WatchMaxx.
I am really happy by my purchase.
I will definitely recommend WatchMaxx.

One can't help wonder if all the positive reviews are legit. I ordered a watch from Watch Maxx in early December. The ETA is between late-December and mid-January. The watch is in current production. Everything seemed good, and the site's order status showed confirmed and the payment charged. Apparently it isn't the case. In mid January, I received a notification that Watch Maxx couldn't fulfill the order. Any company that promised its customer and then fell down after over a month is a worthless merchant. What a total waste of time! It makes me wonder if all those positive reviews are legit, or if they merely a marketing scheme.

We purchased a watch for $7500 directly from their website. They had the same watch listed on ebay for $7950. Within an hour after purchasing the watch we received an email saying that there would be a delay in shipping and we could either wait, cancel the order or pick something else from their website and get a discount due to the inconvenience. It said we could respond via email or call. We called and were told they had plenty in stock and then got put on hold. After a brief period we were told the watch price had increased $1000 to $8500 & we could buy it at that price or cancel the order. Explaining how unhappy we were and wanted to speak to a manager we waited on hold. During this time they then canceled the order, refunded the money and raised the price on both sites. The manager was rude and disrespectful and basically said too bad. Really who does business like this? My husband had been watching the watch for a few weeks so this was no mistake just made. It is GREED! HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE AND HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE
