Walmart's reputation is mixed, with customers appreciating its wide product selection and competitive pricing, which enhance accessibility and affordability. However, significant concerns arise regarding delivery reliability, order accuracy, and customer service quality. Many reviews highlight frustrations with unfulfilled orders, inadequate support during issues, and negative interactions with staff. While some customers express loyalty and satisfaction with the overall shopping experience, others report feeling undervalued and dissatisfied, suggesting a need for improvements in communication, order management, and customer support to enhance overall service and restore confidence among shoppers.

I ordered an iPad from Walmart for an event the following weekend, because they promised fast delivery. They lied. It was delivered late, so I didn't have it for my event. I returned the product once it did arrive. The third party seller refunded the money to my Walmart.com account, but Walmart didn't return the money to my card. So I contacted them. So far, it's been five times I've contacted them, inquiring about my money. An all five times, they claim they were going to "escalate" and "prioritize" my issue, and get my refund. And five times, they have failed to respond to me, and let me know when I'll be getting my money credited back to my card. It's been a month, and I'm still waiting. So I recommend you stay as far away from Walmart.com as possible. It's a big brand, but the site is a scam! Use Amazon, and avoid the hassle. And don't be like me, and lose your money because you used Walmart.com.
Gotta be freaking kidding me- 13 employees standing in the middle of the check out mosh pit- and customers trying to figure out how to get checked out and leave- Walmart has jumped the shark and spit in it's eye- won't be back- the most cynical business move I've ever witnessed - much less had to participate in.
I placed an order about one week ago and reached out on Walmart chat to confirm my daughters bed would be delivered. I was assured my child bed would be on time. I hired a handy man to help me put the bed together. I received a delayed email so reached out again online and phone call to see how long the delay would be. I was rest assured again that my product would be here the next day. I just got off the phone with the supervisor and was advised the shipment was held up on Friday so speaking to the lady on Monday should have told me and not charge me card or give me false hopes and promises something that was incorrect. After spending $1,500 on all the bedding and decorations for the bed, I am left empty handed and false promises!
I gave away my child's bed and now she has nothing! Beware of these scammers and stay away! Go elsewhere.
Of the 11 orders I placed on Walmart.com this year (2020), 3 were delayed (of these 2 were canceled by Walmart). Four (4) were outright cancelled by Walmart. So now I'm in the position of waiting for a tire and a pool that I ordered, the "customer service" person suggest that I cancel the orders then re-purchase. HOW STUPID IS THIS. Not only that, Walmart.com still shows the tire (SuperMax TM-1 235/65R18 106 T) in stock, at a higher price (+2) and the pool (Power Steel 14' x 8'2" x 39.5" Oval Pool Set) is in stock at a much higher price, $249 ordered, $369.88 current. So they want me to pay $120+ more for the same items. Walmart.com I am a VERY UNHAPPY CUSTOMER. I'm doing my Christmas shopping at Amazon.com or in person.
Never again will I shop at walmart.com for delivery. I rather shop the old fashion way. I ordered some stuff for my son's birthday like candles and cake and some stuff for the home. I get a message saying some stuff was substituted which was fine until I saw what was substituted. They actually had the audacity to substitute two number 1 birthday candles with two number 0 birthday candles. They also substituted cotton candy sparkle water with caffeine water! Why? I still can't believe it.
We ordered some chairs from walmart.com (marketplace), and had to go to walmart to return them 6 times (3 for each of the supercenters nearby). The gain in the price is not really worth it, if any. Choose the other options, if you can. Customer service online and in-store is really substandard, and they are probably enjoying the lack of competition in the market, or so they are thinking. Will think three times before I order anything from walmart.com again.
I will never order from Walmart.com ever again. I have been a loyal Walmart customer for over 25 years; however since my recent experience i will never order on line from these people again, as no one cares if you receive the shipment. Additionally i will never step foot in a walmart either and i use to go there 2 to 3 times per werk.
I purchased a Superlift K126 4 inch suspension lift kit for my truck on Walmart.com. The photos and description for the item as well as the part number advertised was for a complete K126 lift kit. The price was lower than any other retailer found so I went ahead and purchased it on the Walmart web site. Walmart was the seller/provider and not some other independent seller. When the item arrived the box contained only two 4 inch lift spindles minus approximately 40 other parts included in a full Superlift K126 4 inch lift kit. I requested a replacement from Walmart.com citing exactly that I did not receive a full lift kit. Walmart then resent the item based upon my original order number. They requested I send back the first errant item. I did this within 2 days. No refund issued/required due to replacement en route. I then a few days later received the second corrective shipment of my purchase. I upon seeing the box immediately knew it was the same exact two 4 inch lift spindles inside. Now I have to arrange return for this item as well. I also concurrently contact Walmart and inquire as to why I am not receiving a "complete" Superlift K126 4 inch lift kit as described and pictured for the price advertised on line. The response from Walmart was that after researching the title, photos and on line description of the item as well as the pricing shown they determined it was an erroneous ad with erroneous pricing therefore they had the right via their online user agreement to not honor the price as advertised. All items were returned eventually and Walmart refunded all my money. Just a big hassle and waste of time for me from Walmart's stupid mistake. Not pleased. :(
Never really had any dealings with the staff but always found the store useful and able to provide everything I'm looking for at a good price.
I purchased a Hisense Roku TV through Walmart that had a one year warranty. This warranty is not worth the paper it is printed on. In less than one year the tube started going bad and is getting progressively worse. Hisense indicated that "we have come to the conclusion that your unit has physical damage". When asked to provide a reason for their conclusion they state: "we are unable to state what kind of physical damage as we did not see what took place". The TV is on top of a bedroom chest of drawers and has not been moved since day one. It has never been dropped or damaged in any way. I would never buy any Hisense electronic item again. I should know better since Walmart only sells cheap crap.
That'll be the day I leave work early to do a return! The store is open so should be the service desk Walmart makes enough money from us they can afford to have service desk open while the store is open is this part of their plan to make more money by not being able to take back items till a certain time like that's some real BS
None of the active coupon codes work. I tried 20+. My order met all of the requirements and NONE worked.
Whole experience is TRASH! The representatives do not speak English. They are very rude. I wish they had an office in America were the reps understood basic customer service and call center etiquette. My WHOLE experience was TERRIBLE!
I was using Walmart for my shopping at times until I found out they're politically associated with CNN news. The CNN coupons? Walmart needs to stay away from politics. They're a grocery store that serves all people and we don't need politics thrown in our faces when we are just ordering groceries.
I asked for a refund of ½ ($50) of my $98 annual Walmart Grocery Delivery Service membership due to several times, including today, of drivers not following my directions as I asked them to in my online directions/instructions. I have a physical disability and can't afford to chase down drivers like I had to do again today, going up and down 13 stairs and walking another 2 blocks to flag a driver who wouldn't follow my directions to my apartment, but chose to use GPS, which doesn't get you to the only entrance to the apartment complex. It's common sense if someone says use the written directions to get to their apartment door that they probably better do that. I believe the drivers couldn't read/speak English, so it's a combination of poor hiring decisions and inadequate training.
They don't answer calls, their website doesn't work at all, and just to deliver something is just to impossible for small ol Walmart. I ordered one game, one small item and there has been delay after delay over this. I can't call anyone because no one picks up the phone. The website is more confusing than rocket science doesn't help the fact that it straight up doesn't function properly. Whatever you do don't ask Walmart to deliver a product to you. That's apparently too much for Walmart to comprehend and handle.
Terrible experience. I ordered some work out weights. I had to wait almost 2 months, they never arrived. The tracking info they sent looped back to their main page. The weights never arrived. I called and they made excuses and refunded my money. Terrible everything, stick with Amazon!
Until fairly recently, I was overall happy with Walmart.com. I especially liked the option of skipping the shipping fee, and picking up in my local store for most of their items.
What's motivating me to write this review is what happened with my most recent purchase. My wife used my account and ordered a Nintendo Switch, listed for $299. (About $317 after tax). We were supposed to pick it up the next day. The next day came, i got another email saying "don't head to the store yet. It isn't ready." That's fine, I thought. But then a little later, i received another email saying they canceled my order, because they can't keep up with stock.
I checked online, and still found the same model Nintendo Switches available, listed on Walmart.com for a higher price. I contacted customer service and asked them about this. I was basically told, I could place the order again for the higher price. And they treated it like i was just asking for a straight up price reduction, and not for them to simply honor what they agreed to do.
Well, Walmart. We had a good run. I will never order from Walmart.com again.
Bought an item on their marketplace. It arrived damaged. It lists the item can be returned in store on the site. NOTHING indicates that you have to contact Walmart to contact the seller and wait 48 hours for their response. After following this procedure I did not receive a followup email. Contacting them through chat the rep indicated the previous rep had not followed through and they expect me to allow them to waste another 48 hours of my time. I've been waiting for a supervisor for over 45 minutes. I will be making a sign for my cork board, "NEVER BUY ANYTHING THROUGH WALMART.COM!"
I ordered an 11×14 portrait. When it was being opened it ripped completely and I never did see what it looked like before it was torn. So sad.
