Voices.com offers friendly, helpful service to go with their first rate job opportunities. I'm a voiceover talent and love Voices.com. They have great content on their site for starting out in the voiceover industry.
From across the oceans - thank you! had a glitch on voices dot com and bodalgo sites where I couldn't get the mp3 upload link to work... with a bit of whataboutery it turned out to be popup blocking in extremis with our old friend Avira (Password Manager of all things). Thanks Matt for your patience
Professional Gigs. Excellent Variety. Loads of Opportunities. No "chasing money"... and it's been a WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE all the way around. 5 Stars All the Way!
It was so nice to get a personalized holiday greeting card from voices.com. Nice that they think of me as a person rather than just a number.
Working with the website since 5 years now, and it's been an awesome experience. Voices.com team is always pleasant to work with!
It may be a Canadian way of conducting business or the way the staff at Voices.com are. I'm not yet a paid member. I've called to learn more about the voice over industry and each time I'm greeted with a warm Candian hello followed with a ton of information to become better informed. It's great to feel supported and not pressured to buy a membership. The staff really are passionate about working for the company and seem very happy. It's like hearing their smiles over the phone.
You don't see or hear this much anymore these days. Maybe this is a Canadian trait.
Kudos to the Voices.com team for being so helpful.
Especailly Kelly and Shan.
You guys rock!
For an online service, Voices.com provides exceptional service. Any time I have a question I can rely on hearing back from the staff. All the reps I've chatted with are professional and so eager to help out with any questions I have. I feel connected with them Voices.com is a great company and I would recommend their services to anyone interested in the voice over industry. The passion and genuine care they have in their customers is impressive
I've had excellent experience with VDC so far. Supportive, responsive staff, great clients and a very valuable hour-long consultation with Cameron today to help me secure even more bookings.
After 3 year with Voices.com i want to really thank all the staff for the professional work and services they are providing. I am so happy to be part of this big industry. I hope that you keep growing more and more... Jad
I was with voices back in 2008 & 9, then, went in another direction with my career/business. I just re-upped at the Premium level and within 2 weeks have made almost $2,000! These jobs would NOT have been on my radar screen if not for Voices.com. Michelle, Barb, Brooke and Shan (my personal rep), have been very helpful whenever I have had questions about a job, my studio/sound, the process... whatever. If you're just starting out, this is perfect for you... if you're an old pro like me (30 = years behind the mic), it's still a GREAT value and even if you already have an agent (I do), Voices is the best platform out there.
They started out as a good platform for talent many years ago, but like so many stories of greed, this one takes a familiar path; exploit talent and squeeze them for every cent you can. They not only take annual dues from talent, but take a percentage of the talent fees as well?! Brazen theft IMO. They've also been accused of padding the fees without Informing the talent. This is the very last place any voice over artist should patronize.
Any "professionally managed" job automatically takes 50% of more of the talent budget. All they do is literally send you their favorite auditions via email, whereas the "self service" jobs, all the auditions are sent to you. That's how they justify $500 commission on a $1,000 job. They exploit talent on a daily basis.
British voice over uk seems to think they are one if the best voice overs in the Industry.
The simple truth is that they aren't as there are so much better.
A Google research will show you that unreasonable and unreliable is commonly used.
My experience with this VO is that it's a very fair comment.

Voices dot com staff,
It gives me great pleasure to write this message of gratitude for an administration that is clearly the barometer for all v/o websites, setting a new level and high standards by consistently raising the bar of professionalism within the industry.
Yesterday I had the great pleasure of receiving a telephone call from your Customer Service Representatives, Courtney Colin, from the Los Angeles, area.
Courtney was very knowledgeable, informed and very supportive in our conversation as she provided helpful insight to improving my profile and the exposure to potential clients on the Voices Platform. Courtney reviewed my stats prior to our conversation and was very well prepared and even walked me through navigating the Voices website. Her suggestions provided keen insight in promoting myself effectively to make improvements for a more positive result in the percentage rankings and job site opportunities.
Our conversation was thorough, complete and was even followed up by an email message highlighting the critical notes from our conversation.
It is this type of professionalism that simply amazes me, when a business and their representative takes a Personal Interest in its customers. Courtney humanized the cyber world with her warm receptive communication skills. She is an extremely valuable asset for Voices dot com, with her level of knowledge, courtesy and professionalism.
I would like to thank Courtney for her time and attention with respect to my account in Voices and I would also like to thank Voices Dot Com for recognizing Courtneys Customer Service Skills and for having her within the staff and on the customer service team.
I strive for a professional result when recording voiceovers and working with an organization that also strives for the same level of professionalism, puts us all united on a seamless mission to achieve the same goals.
Thank you all for taking an interest in me, as I am a small fish in an ocean of voice over talents, yet I am honored for the special attention Courtney and Voices have provided. Thank you all.
Professionally,
Dan Romo
I know that each voice over artist has their own specific method of replying to auditions. After all it is a numbers game, right! But don't loose track of what makes that audition morph into a paying job. Your style of delivery and emotion, pacing and recording quality are a given. But most importantly, as you're blazing through some 20 or more auditions per day take a minute to focus on what the client is asking for. It payed off for me just the other day with a client in Germany representing "Office 365"... they accepted the audition as the final read. They said they were very happy with the audition and there was no need to do anything more. To which I, ah... Agreed!

Shady and predatory business: this company, despite their kind employees, is not worth your time. Managed jobs totally lack transparency so they can pocket huge commissions on your budget: 40-50% on average, up to 90%. Run.
Full out scam that rides on the talents of others, in now way does any real talent company charge to get auditions. This is a corporate scam, made to bleed out those who are talented, best to start your own website and go freelance, makes a ton more money than having some scam rape you of your talents.
They also pay for 5 star reviews. One company has come forward exposing this information. So to trust any 5 start review would be stupid.
As a full time professional voice artist for many years, It's a pleasure to work with other professionals - like the team at Voices.com
I get quality consistent work for them, and they provide a core component of my online voiceover business. I thoroughly recommend voices.com to all my aspiring voice students and other voice professionals.
I have only been active with Voices.Com for barely 8 months and it has been GREAT!
I have been able to utilize your vast resources, attend Webinars, ask for help and advice from your Staff (Congratulations - from my years of management experience you are fortunate and employ excellent People), audition as much as possible and continue to develop my expertise as a Voice Talent.
I have had opportunities that would not have occurred without being a premium member, great Clients, projects and professional friendships, even messages from projects that were not awarded but that would like to work together in the future when my voice style/tonal quality is better suited.
Voices.Com is the best! What some call Pay 2 Play, I now call it Play 4 Pay!
I do have only one regret and recommendation:
I should have started sooner, there is no time or reason not to begin immediately. The missed opportunities and experiences will not expedite your career goals and I won't bother to list all the Platitudes that will attest to that!
Thank You Kelly Mathews, David Gravelle, Matt, Ashley Schmidt, the Ciccarellis and the entire staff at Voices. Com.
Best Regards,
David
I absolutely love Voices.com and the staff. They are professional and provide a great service to businesses and voice talent!

Answer: 1%. Very very few click through, and I offer a range of services that should make me stand out more than the competition. I had 1 contract last year. 10 Years ago it was closer to 30-40%.
