The overall reputation of the company is marred by significant customer dissatisfaction, particularly regarding its customer service and support mechanisms. Many users report a lack of effective communication and responsiveness, with automated replies dominating interactions. Concerns about fraudulent activities and inadequate buyer protection are prevalent, leading to financial losses for both buyers and sellers. While some customers appreciate the platform's user interface and initial successful transactions, these positives are overshadowed by the overwhelming sentiment of frustration and distrust, indicating a pressing need for improvements in customer service and policy enforcement.

Sold on Vinted a bracelet which was a gift my daughter got from her ex. It was LV and it was never used. I told the buyer in advance that it was a gift and that I didn't have the receipt. I've sent it in the original packaging as the buyer insisted. The buyer sent back a photo of a different broken bracelet and complained that it was not original. As I've sent everything to the buyer I did not have at hand any further way to confirm that the item was authentic. In absence of my ability to provide a proof (as the item was with the buyer), Vinted decided that it will be considered not original, that the buyer can keep both, the item and the money. So if you want to scam someone and get an item for free, all you need to do is to confirm that the seller does not have the receipt and ask the seller to send you the item with the original packaging. Then you complain, seller's hands are empty, and you get the item for free
This must be the worst experience I have ever had with this kind of platform. At first I liked it and bought a lot of clothes with no issues but a year ago a seller claimed to have sent a package that never arrived and they also had no tracking number (even tho I paid for tracking), vinted refused to help saying it is my fault there was no tracking nr and there is nothing they can do.
I stopped using it for couple of months after this but two months ago ordered a pair of shoes for over 120Eur - the seller seemed legit, hundreds of good reviews that did not look like bots or scam so I went for it. And... the seller ghosted me after receiving the money for almost a month, I wrote to vinted three times - no answer at all. Then the seller appeared again asking for my address (again?) and now I received a message from vinted that I AM BLOCKED. No letters from vinted, no explanation why. And I still have not gotten my package and am pretty certain this was a scam.
STAY AWAY FROM VINTED, full of scammers and vinted will never help you, they will just block your account if you are trying to get their help.
Stay away from this site, all looks good until you buy something that's not stated as the correct size and YOU have to return at your cost!.
Takes nearly a week to get your item and nearly 2 weeks to get paid for selling, or receiving refund.
Alot of scammers on there too, selling supposedly new items.
Customer service is disgusting. They are rude and useless. As a seller you have absolutely no rights.
I sold an item and the buyer cancelled the order as she never received it. She contacted vinted with an image of ripped packaging and vinted refunded her. I then contacted vinted to ask what had happened and what I should do, as I am now at a loss. They advised that I was unable to receive a refund due to not meeting their 'packaging requirments'. I asked them to confirm why my packaging did not meet their requirments and was told to not message them again!
I sold packed and sent loads of items on Vinted. However when I withdrew my money I didn't receive a penny after lots of messages to Vinted I was told we sent it case closed. Absolutely disgusting they profit from stealing money. My money. Purrfect 66
Sellers send rubbish, buyers pay for protection against this is and VINTED make up ways not to refund customers, but rogue sellers are onto a good thing, VINTED is not bothered about investigating poor behaviour, they're just robotic and ignore proof provided that shows they are wrong
Genere.
I ordered some Brown Jeans and Seller sent me Grey Corduroys - Told Vinted and ask them for help BUT THEY WEREN'T BOTHERED - the BUYER PROTECTION you pay when you buy an item does not mean a thing - JUST A RIP OFF - It states on the protection - if an item is significantly not as described then a refund is entitled - l ask them for a refund and told them what the protection states - BUT they just did nothing about it and fobbed me off - Vinted are Crap
First of all, I give one star just because seller get to keep more money instead of high selling fees like other sites out there. Vinted do not allow commercial listings, for example many items in the same category. All my items are new and I just want to clear out my vanity/closet but they considered mine are commercial listings what the heck. They kept removing them. I listed a Chanel liptick and they removed mine minutes later because they think it's counterfeit. I listed a lipbalm for the first time and the or the system identified as duplicated listing, of course it got removed. No matter how many times I've tried. Forget it. Finally they blocked my account for a week and it's not easy to contact customer service. I really find that this site is the worst for sellers, and I don't know how this company earn money when they are basically kicking sellers away?
Unfortunately I researched Vinted too late to save myself! There seems to be severe dissatisfaction from both buyers and sellers and largely problems stem from terrible customer service. The concept is great and the experience is great when all goes well BUT it is impossible to get any satisfaction if problems arise. It is so easy for scammers to deny receiving goods have their money returned leaving the seller without the items and out of pocket by having paid for postage...despite all the evidence from Royal Mail that all the rules were followed. Trying to resolve problems results in irrelevant auto resposes.
Closet clean out easy by taking photos of item front back and any special details. App lets me easily upload photos, write description and price it. Immediately is on the site. I'm notified of someone's "like" and purchase. Buyer has to pay Vinted before shipping label available for me to print. Site allows texting from buyer to make offers and sellers to counter or accept
The app works fine generally, but ensure you sell to trusted buyers. For the return policy (if the buyer wants to return the article) they offer 2 options and its so easy to mess it up!
If you cancel and reimburse them the money, it doesn't say they don't make the buyer send you the product back, so a lot of peple end up without the product and withou the money. If you message customer service they say literally, they are sorry but it's not their problem. This option should be crystal clear in the app. And their customer service, no comments (typical B2C).
Other negative points:
-The process of uploading articles is a pain when you want to write a long description, the text editor is rubbish and jumps lines and spaces all the time. This has been going on for months and months and it's a key part of the process.
I purchased an item form a seller in France. When to package arrived in contained a totally different item. I signalled the problem to the admins who told me that i should return the item so as not to be charged. I followed the instructions( sent photographic evidence of the returned package) the returned package was never picked up by the seller. I have paid for the original item and postage plus the return postage. The seller continues to sell and defraud on the app and the aministrators do absolutely nothing to resolve the issue.DO NOT BUY FROM VINTED
Worst company to deal with. My account was blocked as I couldn't provide proof of authentication for a 10 year old pan set. (Le Crueet)
You can tell it authentic from the handles.
After 2 weeks of back and f
Forth to customer service who sai would sort and delete my account to start again. I had to message direct from the blocked account I've done this and just keep getting some arrogant julie who keeps sending me link about gdpr and holding data with out actually responding to the question of how long you hold my data? And also that I'd like to withdraw their right to hold my data.
Bought an item that was faulty - bleach stain. Contacted seller but no response. Buyer has to pay to return item. Seller sells a faulty item and they don't pay postage. Buyer buys a faulty item and has to pay postage both ways. You also can't leave a negative review for them so they will keep on doing this. Vinted don't care. This is against UK Consumer Law so don't know how Vinted are getting round that one - probably because the values are low it's not worth bothering for a single transaction.
This has got to be The worst company I have ever had to deal with when trying to resolve an issue with a lost parcel. Despite providing them evidence of the investigation carried out directly by YODEL that the item was lost. They have still marked as delivered and released funds to seller. The customer service is a joke, they do not listen to anything, just repeat the same things over and over. Requested to escalate numerous times and just hit with a brick wall. Won't be using them again.
Hi I had a parcel not arrive yodel lost it
Was told to wait by Vinted 48hrs.then Vinted system said I'd collected it which I hadn't. They have admitted it's a system fault but won't give me my money back there customer service is rubbish don't use this app
Vinted customer service is clearly ineffective.
I had an item that was sold but I just canceled due to a breach of trust on my part in relation to the buyer due to the messages he sent me. I canceled the sale but the ad remained as sold. I deleted the ad as Vinted's system is anachronistic. I published again and received a message from the platform that I couldn't because the ad already existed. Anyway, I have articles on eBay and on OLX and never has such confusion and inoperability existed.
If they don't solve my problem, I'm seriously considering removing all the articles I have on the Platform and denouncing the way in which Vinted defrauds users.
I have tried selling on Vinted but it is a nightmare. They constantly reject pictures with no explanation. They delete listings with no explanation. Contacting customer service is very difficult and when I have been able to contact them their response is completely unhelpful. This platform is time consuming and pointless. After my experience with customer service I would not have the confidence to buy through the site.
Answer: Well you can't. You need to do your homework when asking questions to a seller. Request additional pictures too. The seller never has access to your money until you "receive" and accept the items. So if you get a designer item you have questions about take it to your nearest high-end consignment. If you find the item is not real simply let CS know under the accepting. Tell them what the problem is. More likely than not you will get a return request label. Just send it back and all your money if refunded. On Poshmark all items over $500 are automatically sent to a Posh center to be authenticated before its sent to you. The best way to know your getting the real deal is buy from again a local high-end consignment or an online that specializes in only a few brands rather than any. It takes a lot of training to become an expert on authentication.
