Vidanta lies and tells you things in person and then you sign all these papers and it turns out you've signed things that they lied to and they coerce and mislead… their customer service, lacks problem-solving, helping and leading you to a good conclusion. I advise you to enjoy the resort, but don't sign anything and be a part of their membership. I have other memberships that I am completely happy with… Thank you for listening and I caution you to heed my advice.

Please read all the reviews before considering this place. Although it is a beautiful complex it is a world of its own isolated and far from everything. Everything here is overpriced and grossly expensive. But the worst part is that you are constantly harassed here by sales pitch and everyone trying to sell you timeshares and all that nonsense. It is a hectic, crowded place with subpar service and food for the price you pay. Sales efforts are aggressive and start from the airport. You're constantly harassed here by the sales staff trying to sell you something. And they advertise outside the resort to be something else just to bring you to their sales presentation

DO NOT TRUST THESE PEOPLE!
April 4, 2023

We just got back from there last night and the only reason I gave it one star is because there's nothing lower. The staff however was wonderful, the room was ok, nothing to brag about. We are "members" and were told that as "members" we would get certain perks, discounts etc. However, upon checking out we were charged full price for everything and were told that even though we were "members" we didn't get a discount on anything unless we sat through yet another presentation. So there are no perks to being a member with Vidanta. They're liars and cheats.

BEWARE!
April 3, 2023

Beautiful Nature! Workers are nice. Everything is Super expensive. However I fell and broke my wrist and hurt my head. I have NOT heard from anyone in authority to see how I am! I had to cancel my trip along with my 2 companions and fly home in a hurry. I have my arm in a cast for 3 months. I will need rehab following so I will miss work. Go somewhere all inclusive! It's cheaper and just as nice! BEWARE!
Do not buy!

We were at the Luxxe resort. I'm a nature lover. To be surrounded by the jungle and stay in a spacious suite was an amazing experience. The gourmet food restaurants were a foodies dream. The service was world class by each and everyone.

Great resort
February 15, 2023

Quality of accomodations, grounds, restaurants and service is outstanding. It doesn't get any better than this.
5 stars!
The people who work here make your time even more enjoyable. The accomodations at all levels are constantly cleaned. Restaurants have a huge variety of food. The pools are everywhere. The site looks over the ocean too. Lots of golf if you play. And soon a huge entertainment center will be next door.

They tried! Ha Ha Ha
January 16, 2023

My husband and I were on our anniversary vacation, and was told by Jesus from the airport to try a new resort, he even gave us a bottle of cheap liquor, and gave us a ride to our resort RIU in a 2023 suburban. We were like ok we are not busy so let's give it a look. So Jesus came to our resort to pick us up but guess what he was not in that 2023 suburban he was on a motorcycle we had to wait on a taxi that they paid for. Once we arrived we were greeted by snakes the best part about this game recognize game. They ask for a credit card with visa logo so my husband gave a closed account all we wanted was the free breakfast and the FREE MASSAGE. To make a long story short once we realized that this was indeed a timeshare we must have said no 1,000,000,000,000.00 so breakfast and that one hour turned into five hours I must have went to the bathroom 100 times and got fresh air 200 times. Of course we didn't get the massages and PePe was sad I guess because we said no. It was like we were cancer nobody walked us out smiling like they walked us in smiling and a$$ kissing. We were on our own with 250 pesos to go back to our beautiful resort RIU which they put down several times but guess what we didn't give them contract for a hundred years oh but thanks for the breakfast. We will always book all inclusive not Vidanta you can keep that scam. I would recommend scamming them for a free ride to your resort and then cancel

Don't be fooled by timeshare/vacation scam
January 3, 2023

My husband, two kids and I just returned from an impromptu trip to Mexico. At the car rental agency we were approached my a nice unassuming young lady who offered us the 90 minute presentation in exchange for breakfast, cenote, zip line and atv package for 4. The kids were excited as she promised us it would only last the 90 minutes.
We finally caved in and agreed and scheduled our presentation. As we arrived and registered we were asked if we had plans for the rest of the day which we did so we answered yes but then received a text from our sales girl saying we need to say no or we won't receive the gifts. I can't lie the resort is stunning, and they curate your walk to breakfast so you can see the beauty from every angle. Luckily they were honest about breakfast which was a delicious buffet assortment but then the foolery began. Long story short 90 minutes turned into 3 hours of touring the showrooms, video presentations and then the sales gimmick. They started at $90,000/year and after 3 sales people later offered it for $11,000. Stick to your commitment of a hard NO. Your gut will tell you anything too good to be true usually is. By hour 4 my kids were about to lose their minds, we committed our NOs and they tried every gimmick in the book. Finally it felt like we were heard and getting released from their claws and the niceness end, we were taken to yet another room where we were told the sales presentation was over and they wanted to survey our experience and alas back into another sales pitch for $3,000. How in the world does your offer go from $90,000-$3,000 in 4hrs! We maintained our NOs, never got the added gifts we were given, only the cenote and zip line which we would have easily paid for and saved ourselves the agony and waste of time.
Proud to say that we held out and after reading these reviews I am even more thankful that we did, just don't succumb to the pressure and hold onto your pockets!

The sad part is that Americans are behind this high-pressure sales drama. Don't be a small fish to these whales. You just can't say no, please do not judge the Mexican people for this scam.

Vidanta doesn't give a $#*! about you
December 15, 2022

Don't get sucked in. As members you get treated like crap now. It is all about hooking the next sucker. It used to be 5 star but now the service is more like a 2 star. The sales pitch was brutalizing, insulting and traumatizing. The best entertainment is watching people loosing their minds trying to get what they paid for in the lobby.

Scam
December 10, 2022

Very Dishonest company! Can't believe anything they say! Tried to cancel by text with our sales rep later the day we signed up! Then when my wife and I got back from Puerto Vallarta we tried following up with cancellation. Then we talked to a person that said they would put it in the system. Thinking it was canceled. Then Decided the next day to send certified mail for cancellation. I was never able to talk to anybody for days! Then found out months later that we missed the deadline by one day! Had to hire an attorney to handle the situation! If I ran my businesses like they do I would've been out of business! Something needs to be done about their business practices! They should not be allowed to continue operating like this!

Don't be a sucker
October 21, 2022

Went there on the presence of having a botanical garden tour. Got a free breakfast and there were flies or some other bugs buzzing around the food... gross/disgusting. Followed by 3.5 hours of high pressure sales. After 50 No's, you would think they would understand! Oh you can leave, but you won't get any free stuff we promised. Smells of paint, varnish and mold. Bathroom did not flush and paper towels dispenser did not work. Passed from one person to the next. In total 6 hours... left, refused to provide massage as promised. I would never buy here nor would I stay here! Nor would I trust them!

Well oiled scam machine
October 16, 2022

Vidanta often uses 3rd parties to sell trips, such as "vacation VIP". They can say whatever they want to get you there. Once there you realize you didn't get what you paid for and Vidanta will not help because a "3rd party" sold you. They don't offer any support or apologies of any sort. Instead they sell you on their time share scam. They say you " Don't have to buy anything, but you do have to turn in a credit card."

Unfortunately by the time you realize you're being scammed you're already there with your family.

The place is beautiful. But the staff and system are extremely well trained to scam you.

Beautiful
July 25, 2022

We just got home from NV. We had an incredible time. The food was top notch, the service was fantastic, and the weather cooperated. We had 14 people with 3 units: a one bedroom GL loft, a two bedroom GL villa, and a 4 bedroom residence. All units were great.

We ate out for almost all meals and loved almost all of it.

Just a couple of thoughts on the food:

*Five of us ordered the scallop risotto at Brezza…it was not a hit.

*One of the best and least expensive meals was at La Cantina.

Spatium is one of the best spas I have been to.

If you have not had an opportunity to go to Rhythms of the Night in Puerto Vallarta, all 14 people in our party thoroughly enjoyed it.

We had family pictures taken on the beach. The photographer was fun and the pictures are beautiful. We loved the photographer, but we very and the photographs were so good that we will use them again.

The Estates
Patio off of the room.
Patio off of our room.
Bar in the hotel room.
Main living area in our suite.
On site groceries at LaPlaza.
Guest bedroom in the 4 bedroom Residence Suite.
Guest bathroom in the Residence suite.

Don't Buy Or Stay@ Vidanta - Just awful
July 9, 2022

DO NOT STAY HERE. Everything about the resort is for the convenience of Vidanta... ALL OF IT. They must have designed this hotel with physiological marketing tricks that fool you into believing their cheep Disneyland/Ikea knockoff hotels are the luxury they advertise. They overwhelmed guests with Vidanta protocols that push everyone around like cows. Good luck getting from your room to anywhere because everything takes like a half hour to get to (except leaving, that will take like an hour). Vidanta purposely traps you. No quick trip to the pool and back to your room for lunch... nope. No quick runs to the store... nope... no quick trips to your room to get something or to the restroom... nope. That way, you're practically forced to purchase their mediocre/overpriced food, use their overpriced products and use their disgusting restroom. And the dang ambiance music EVERYWHERE! Someone make it stop!
The service staff was gracious though. They were always willing to help and many of them understood and shared our frustrations. Some of them even shared that all the good jobs go to English speaking foreigners, leaving cheep service jobs as the options for locals. Uggg disgusting. I hate Vidanta.

Painful Presentation & Sour Grapes
July 6, 2022

Was approached in the Mall to a presentation at Vidanta. Was told 1 hr presentation, gift $2000. 00 pesos, Bottle of tequila, lunch, cab ride to & from location. The property is huge, you waste a lot of time walking point A to point B. After you say no to $17,000.00 price tag our agent Enrique got sour quick. Getting your gift is a painful process from one room to the the next & low ballers trying to sell more timeshare. Enrique makes the process even more painful as he goes and hides and stalls to make you wait longer to get off property. When you finally get your gift they didn't pay in Pesos as promised. The gift lady was Super Sour with attitude as well. What makes re could you expect, the whole experience was very greasy.
