I need to speak to a human to discuss a residency application, repeatedly advised to seek my answers on the website, if the answers were there I would not be spending a fortune calling.
Surely this terrible service cannot be allowed to continue, what an awful impression of Italy is given by this company, if this is the first point of entry.
I have been awaiting a a visa application reimbursement in South Africa since June 15th its now 11th August and nobody in this organization takes my query seriously. The call centre agents managers in Bruce Lukhele and Mohammed Bapoo go out of there way to stall and prevent the processing of reimbursements.
I was double charged for visa appointments for my wife and myself by Cindy Mouton at the Cape town VFSglobal branch for a Shengen visa to Italy on the 6th June. She admitted her error immediately but said that I needed to request a refund form this i filled out and sent off with the relevant receipts on the 17th June. I have been attempting without success to get my funds returned ever since then.
I requested through the call centre management to speak with the CEO or head of VFS global in South africa but was told that that would be impossible. I find the way in which this company hides behind its call centre completely unacceptable and wish to expose VFS and its staff for their shocking service and complete lack of customer care.
The sooner all embassies, consulates the Department of Home affairs and other organisations making use of VFSGlobal are made aware of the slew of complaints and move away from using this company the better.
VSF is the worst service company that has ever existed. Extremely high cost with ever-glitching system, cumbersome customer onboarding, and no contact numbers for customers. Governments should take contracts with VSF away.
Two months after I paid for services which I never received, I am still getting emails from VSF saying - please let us know if you would like to withdraw your application... to which I have responded few times. Saying yes, I would like to withdraw and my money returned. Of course, no response.
The website and humans are both incredibly unhelpful. The website doesn't work and doesn't actually give all the options necessary for someone to apply for certain visas (example for a dependent on an employment visa). They charge you money to talk to customer service. The Chicago office exudes an incredibly cold and unwelcoming atmosphere like you are wasting their time for needing their services. I have wasted so much time and money because of them. If I could avoid using them I would but the country I am moving to is in business with them so I have no choice. If you have the option to avoid them, I would.
Tried to book an appointment for over a month and could not. I had to email.the Embassy and manage to get a manual appointment.
Staff is incompetent, cannot even recognize legitimate documents.
The office in London deals with visa application for 20 countries, go figure why you cannot book an appointment.
VFS Global Bali is very bad. On their advice we had to apply on a family/friends visa for the Netherlands.
We still had 3 months. But the slots they've is not enough. We had to wait for the first slot available 7 weeks.
Then we applied and they checked everything and said this is ok. So we wait two more weeks and we've got the passport back without a visa. Reject. They should know what kind of papers you need and tell you what to provide again therefore you paying them.
So now we have to apply again pay again. But they don't have slots waiting time 7 weeks. This is what you get when you just open 8 hours a week
We went back to the office of vfs but can not help you just go to the website and write a letter or appeal.
Not helping and the European union have contracts with that stuppid organisation. Why why.
No we loose alot of money because of them.

Consulates should be ashamed of passing on their consular responsibilities to this poor excuse of a vendor. Their systems don't work, their customer service is nonexistent (except for a pre-recorded answering machine) and, just to reiterate, their systems don't work. It keeps logging me off, blocking my account, when it's not logging me out their rescheduling service keeps crashing, and this was after I struggled incredibly to find an appointment. Instead of even telling you what the next appointment is, it just says "no appointments available".
Again, consulates should be ASHAMED of using these scamming vendors and just pass on their responsibilities on them.
They are bunch of morons sitting on counter and make their own rules. They make you wait for long time and for a small thing they again send you back even the points are not very clear in any of the application form. Booking the time is next to impossible. Their site throws error lots of time. Trust me I would never ever want to visit them, it's just we are compelled and that's what they are taking advantage of.

They have caused so much stress. They treat their customers like crap. There is no systematic way to go about applying for a visa through them.
The VFS is a total scammer. They will force you to avail there service. Parents are there key victims. They pushed for lounge service saying you definitely need it, my parents declined it. They said scanning service is mandatory but I had already uploaded their docs so not needed. Courier service is Rs 750 but they charged my parents Rs 1500, later it turned out to be bronze package they forcefully asked my parents to pay. Totally unprofessional.
I had an appointment with VFS Global for Schengen visa to Austria. I spent close to 4 hours for what was described to be 15-30 minutes appointment. I had to rebook my train tickets twice as a result. The whole place was chaotic. The staff seemed untrained. I would not be surprised if passports were misplaced. The whole operation seemed to be a leach operation or a scam. European embassies and consulates, stop using this terrible service for your sake of the image of your country. You do not want such a terrible company to ruin the very first impression of your country. Take back your own visa services!
RE Schengen visa from Slovenia for August 2022 at the Manchester office.
Had to try hundreds of times to get an appointment. There is no chance of getting an appointment at a location and date of your own choosing. I contacted the embassy to see if I could bypass VFS Global - this did result in VFS giving me an appointment which I couldn't get to. I made several complaints and sent emails - none of which received a reply. Contacting VFS by phone was impossible.
At the centre the queueing and appointment system seemed to be totally random - I had to wait almost an hour beyond my appointment time. The lady who served me was polite and helpful, but other members of staff were quite the opposite e.g. the security staff were quite rude and seemed biased against and to certain groups of people.
No self-respecting country should outsource to VFS - it may save them a bit of work and the need to have fewer people hanging around their embassies, but it is sending a very poor message about what they think of people who wish to visit their countries - i. E. we don't care if you get treated like rubbish, or how much hassle you have to go through and any extra expense.
Also expect some extra costs, for example their courier service (if you can't collect yourself), not cheap and an expensive SMS.
Next year I will go anywhere I can get a visa without having to go through VFS.
I had a biometric appointment on 28th June 2022 at the Atlanta office. The staff were not adequately informed about travel policy during and after then pandemic. I had everything needed except for an endorsed i-20. I also requested to submit the endorsed i-20 in one hour but they did not accept my application. They came up with their own rule that they need the original i-20 with "original" signature. During the pandemic, many universities had moved to e-signature for i-20. However, they did not know that. I am very disappointed that I had to apply through them.
No feedback on emails or requests. Phoning customer service is a joke - 9 calls this morning as the first 8 were all cut off whilst holding, but you're expected to pay the premium rate. Over the past week the calls have cost me in excess of $100, and spoke to the same person every time - is this poor soul the only person employed to deal with all of their requests? Website never has availability (been trying for more than a month) - and when there is a spot available, try to book it only for the site to say you've exceeded your number of attempts - apparently 1 attempt is too many. It's shockingly poor how there is an absolute disregard for customer service, and seemingly all of the UK's non EEA citizens need to apply at the same place for all of the Schengen country visas - how many people serving how many applicants? VFS - your lack of responsibility to others is damning, and you lord your perceived power over others.
Me parece un pésimo servicio, pues si bien es cierto que el staff es amable, la información provista no es real. Me dieron un tiempo estimado de tramitación y mi expediente duro 2 meses. Quedaron en enviarme un correo cuando llegara la visa y fui yo la que tuve que darle el seguimiento. Pague el servicio de revision previo deposito y nadie me reviso l documentación. No hay forma de trackear y saber el estatus de su solicitud. No toman el telefono y no responden el correo de customer care. Es increible la impotencia que siente con esta entidad. Lástima que un país de tanto prestigio como Reino Unido, escoja una entidad tan deficiente para que la represente en la República Dominicana. Lo unico que logran es que no vuelva a aplicar para ir a UK, porque es malpasar
I have never come across a worse website than theirs. Need to answer million questions every single time to check the available slots. Have been looking for appointments 3 months prior to the travel date but was able to get only closer to the travel date. Most of the time all the months and dates would be greyed out but on the first page it shows that there is an earliest slot available. Even clearing cache and cookies does not help sometimes. So exhausting and frusutrating! We have booked all tickets, insurance, accommodation and all of the VFS fees. Now it is all going down the drain. This is seriously a scam!
Having booked an Indian holiday, we are now stressed out wondering if we'll ever get visas. The VFS step by step visa application process fails at step 2 when you cannot even get an online application form! So what the heck are you then meant to do? Trying phoning is a joke. This incompetent shower should be deported to a barren island and then made to endure their own visa application process.
The online appointment system is extremely user unfriendly. It forced you to create an account before making an appointment. However, there is no way to check your appointment status after logging in. Moreover, making appointment requires confirmation by OTP (one-time-password) sent to your email. However, the delay is quite significant. OTP only goes to my email after 5-10 minutes and they were already expired when I received them.
I dont understand why IRCC cooperate with this company.
Overall the user experience is ZERO starm the worst that I have ever experienced.
