Awful customer service, awful company to deal with. Be careful if you are vulnerable, as they will take advantage.

My mother was taken advantage of by a dubious scheme that Very offer.

Received an offer from Very for £50 back if my mother spent £100. Then it was rejected due to "internal checks on credit worthiness". Several days later offered a credit card (38% APR) of up to £1,500. When we rang to check whether this meant she waseligible for the £50 discount offer we were on the phone for 90 mins, and during that time the incompetent rep (T. GUFFOOR) mishandled the query completely, and we ended up in a situation where he cut the connection.

They then had the audacity to accuse my mother of being involved in fraudulent activity, and withdraw her credit account. Thank God, she wanted to close the account immediately and never do business with these crooks ever again.

Buyer beware! Fraudulent, deceitful and incompetent!

Just the same robotic response, automated and meaningless.exactly where would you like me to reply to. Do you actually have a phone number that I can respond to? An email perhaps? A crystal ball? I don't know how to do smoke signals otherwise I would give it a try.Very is it so difficult for you to contact me?You have my address, you have my email, you have my phone number, you have my account number. I could send you my shoe size if I thought it would help. The more I try to deal with this company the more bizarre it becomes. I cant find any contact number or email to contact.I cant find a person to contact or one willing to contact me.This is a very creepy and secretive company. Simply leaving automated messages all the same but do absolutely nothing to sort the problem out. I would be a rare fraudster indeed because I want to pay of my account.

Disgusting - Money Grabbing Company

I ordered a Bluicer from Very at £359 on 2nd August. When I got my statement through I saw they had charged me £409. When I called them the lady on the phone told me that the item had never been £359 only £389. She was basically calling me a liar! A few weeks later I realised I'd taken a picture of the item I'd ordered the following day (3rd Aug) to send to a friend as she was looking to get one too. I called customer services back & explained this & they said that because their prices change each day this cannot confirm that the price was the same the day I ordered it!
Seriously Very…. I have been a customer for a long time & know how it works. If I had seen it cheaper the day after then I would have cancelled my order & reordered it at the lower price! I had already seen the price. You are just out to rob customers & for that I will no longer be shopping with you! I will pass on the way you treat customers & give you the shocking reviews you deserve!

Awful experience

As a longstanding customer of Very im now sadly closing my account, and my wife, sister mother and friend are also following suite. This is purely down to the horrific attitude of the Very fraud investigator named Lisa. Somehow, even though I have had my account approx 5 years longer than my wife Very IT department have cross pollinated them so when I now log in a see my wife's name and when she logs in she sees mine! But our personal age, sex etc details remain the same. She called me to insinuate that I was a fraudulent client and I was deeply shocked with her appalling rude manner when the error lies with Very. Truly horrendous member of staff.

For more than a month, I've been diligently attempting to have my washing machine repaired through Very's Repair and Protect insurance. In July, the technician who assessed the issue concluded that a new drum was required for the machine. A fresh appointment was scheduled for July 30th, but unfortunately, they failed to uphold this appointment. Despite numerous phone calls, a subsequent appointment was eventually set for August 9th. Regrettably, once again, my efforts were in vain as no technician arrived, despite my entire day being spent waiting.

Continuing my interactions with Very and Hotpoint, I faced the ordeal of being placed on hold, transferred between departments, and even disconnected during multiple phone calls. In response to this, I reached out to Hotpoint and succeeded in rescheduling another appointment. To my surprise, it was revealed that the engineer's absence during the previous appointment was due to a damaged part. Strangely, no one took the initiative to inform me of this development. A third appointment was arranged for August 22nd, and yet, history repeated itself as no technician arrived.

My engagement with Very extended to a two-hour conversation, during which I was informed that they were awaiting a response from Hotpoint. Interestingly, I was told that this response had been requested on August 3rd, but no reply had materialized by then. Recently, I spoke with Steph, who conveyed that her manager Kate was on a lunch break at that moment. Steph assured me that Kate would return the call within 72 working hours. The lack of urgency in resolving this matter is utterly disappointing and can only be described as disgraceful.

As a result of this ongoing ordeal, I have endured over a month without a washing machine, leading to a loss of income due to waiting for an engineer who consistently fails to show up. I've spent countless hours on the phone, feeling like I'm going in circles, being given the runaround, and being told what they think I want to hear. Attempts to contact Hotpoint via phone have been futile, and their chat agents merely provide cookie-cutter responses. These responses state that they've contacted the engineer and escalated the matter to their manager. At this point, I am left frustrated and disheartened by the entire situation.

Very Ridiculous.

After ordering online, Very arranged for delivery, but no one contacted me or delivered to my address on the day of delivery, because I recently moved to a new house and there are a lot of items to be added, so I didn't pay attention to whether Very's delivery was delivered or not.
After a few days, I went to very's website and saw that my entire batch of more than 2,000 pounds of goods was returned.

I didn't do that at all. I don't know how this result happened, but at that time I didn't know how to dispose of the goods. The goods have been fully paid, how to return the paid amount, there is no explanation, this batch of goods is what I need, I need to reorder now, or wait for Very to process before I can reorder, these are the things I need every day, what should I do?
I left a message on very's website and on their social media, but they didn't get a response. Later, they even asked me to rate them. I recorded my experience truthfully, and they replied: I'm sorry, we won't be post your comment.

After a few days, they refunded me some money back. At this time, I found their phone number and called them directly. The answer I got was: the remaining price will be refunded to me within this week.
At the same time, let me know: you can no longer order items in very.
It seems like they were cheated, what a joke, actually I ordered the goods with real money, more than 2000 pounds were withheld, and I couldn't get the goods I wanted, so I dare not order goods from their website again!

I don't leave any review online but doing it now. You will be fine for ordering items but once you have to deal with Very for whatever, you will be frustrated by them. Very who is acting like a bank with 5 steps of the verification question(I'm not sure even banks would ask that many questions to verify who you are) will never get better than now for sure. First, their call centre is in South Africa.(it sounds like I'm a racist, please keep reading this and you'd understand what I mean) Very is a big company who runs a department of complaint and willing to send a letter(why not an email? It's 2023, what a wasting paper!) to tell me offering £20 of credit, but to save money they run the call centre somewhere cheaper and it's quite rare to see that sized company outsources a customer service centre outside of the UK, I reckon they only care about their spending rather than caring customers, the customer service is the first impression of the company and it's not the same as running a factory in China. Besides I'm sorry to say like this, but the people there attitude is slightly different, sometimes they sound rude and they have to say they are right, I'm from the other country so it's my own problem to understand their accent but not for attitude, every time when I speak to them I don't feel welcome, they sound rough with no manner. And second, I need an invoice for orders and Very doesn't have a system for it so each individual person has to create manually and it means it would take up to 50 mins for 3 invoices and the invoices could be wrong because they don't deal with it often so they don't know how to do it well. What a waste of time, not only my time also their employee's time too. I have no idea why it has to be their job, big companies send an invoice with an email of order confirmation and arrival or you can download from order page, or at least there is usually separated department dealing with it, no idea why Very lets front line people do it, poor employees. Third, I'm the Very account holder so I have credits, the layout of order page, they put the button for add account for main and pay in full amount side(the same as on mobile page, you can see 'add account' first and then 'pay in full amount' when you scroll down) it means Very makes you go with BNPL and get charged interests, so sneaky and their website won't decrease my credit to 0, so I'm with £170 which is the lowest amount I could request. For these reasons this company will never get better than now for sure.

Worst conpany ever. In december 2021 We did buy razer headset for daughter. In february We started have issues with this item so We wanted repair ot or replace for new one or get a refund because it has 2years warranty. I called there 7times because my girlfriend very poor speak english. She comfirmed her details and gived me authorisation to speak woth very. Advisor said that in future I can speka regarding her account. They sent me return label and said that I need to post item back and they will refund her. So We did it. After 4weeks We still didn't receive refund and email confirmation or nothing. So I did call them again and asked why. They said that will send her item back because is out of warranty because warranty is only for 1year (very website and also razer saying that this item has a 2year warranty xd) . After 1h on the phone they said that this is true that ot has 2years warranty and they processing refund now. After next week We again didn't receive nothing so I did call there again 4times and any times they said that processing refund now (every time she needed give me authorisation again). And now she received post letter that she need wright authorisation for me and send back to very and need to wait 28days and then I will can speak regarding her. So from 6weeks We don't have headphones (130£) and money. Also They don't want send item to her back. She losted item and money.

Disgusting company that feeds on families not being able to afford essentials. They charged me £150 of interest after I had been paying £25 monthly and nearly paid off the debt only to find they hit me with interest charge. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY BETTER OFF GOING TO A LOAN SHARK. Look into the small print about buy now pay later. You have caused my family great harm and to tell me you would email and provide help and then do nothing-shows the extent of your customer care.

Never ever again! If you buy from this company then never expect to speak to them
Poor customer Service
They do no answer their calls
I am furious after purchasing a faulty gaming lap top and an iPhone where both seals were broken on arrival, I returned the phone to be told after 6 weeks that they have received it and are checking it before refunding me.

Go to an established company like John Lewis. Good Customer service is priceless

Poor customer service

Customer service is awful, there is no ability to email to speed the process. Each person has to start from the beginning once you eventually get through. I have had to take two days off work to try and organise a collection of incomplete delivery of a large item this has been going on since October 27th and we are out pocket to the tune of £606 pounds, we will never use them again for any large items and I will be making sure my friends and family do not either

What customer service

I have just opened an account with Very and somehow missed putting in the discount code, which would give me 20% discount. Although it is over the Christmas period I have waited until Bank holidays are finished. I have not been able to talk to anyone, no email address. Feeling very frustrated and may just return goods ordered as I am so annoyed with such poor customer service.

Very unimpressed

I ordered a pair of women's trainers in the black Friday sale. Today the order arrived containing a pair of men's loafers. Information on the website instructed me to return the incorrect item and reorder the trainers. When I did this I discovered they are now priced at £90 instead of the £63 I paid for them. I have tried to call the customer service number three times but each time have been cut off before speaking to a human being. There appears to be no way of emailing. Very unimpressed.
Edit - Very have now responded saying they will honour the original price but I have to re-order the trainers at the full price and then they will issue a refund.
Edit - Second pair of trainers have arrived, they have not honoured the refund promised.
I will never order from them again.

Bad customer service, yodel didnt update the parcel tracker the parcel didnt arrive. Chased 10 days after it should have arrived. Yodel didnt apologise just said ill update the tracker as returned. No apology no explanation then told to contact Very. Spent time on useless robot online service. Spent 1 hour 11 minutes waiting to get through to a human was put through to South Africa call centre. Was told if i wanted the item i had to pay again before i get a refund. Asked to speak to a manager was told she was too busy but passed a message to say she would say the same as the agent. Again asked to speak to a manager was told she was busy with a customer then told she was in a meeting. Im now waiting for a call back tmw to a complaint ive raised. Avoid Very at all costs not once have i recieved an apology.

Again tried to telephone very. When I eventually found a number to call, it took an age to answer, I don't see how as their telephone number is so difficult to find. It is very easy to pay them though!
Their online service is not comprehensive, there are only a few standard questions & then it's not at all helful.
Absolute rubbish company unless you want to give them money!

Poor service

I was looking for a new hoover, very.co.uk came up and promises of 20% off first order if I opened an account. Opened the account NO 20 % OFF FORTHCOMING! Tried calling but useless. To top it all Major damage to my credit rating, tried closing the account after paying off the balance then I am told it will take 26 days to officially close the account. They took 2 seconds to open it and give me access to £1500.

I made a purchase of two cups, they sent me a pack of coasters. I don't want to phone them, as prefer contact via chat etc. but their set up is terrible, you can't talk to anyone and get to the root of your problem. Lost the cups now waste of money and time unreliable poor service.

Not trustworthy, do not order with them

Hey just claimed i cancelled the order which was already paid. I also received an email 2 days before the delivery day to specify the process of delivery.

- Order got cancelled by magic after 10 days, the day of delivery with zero warning.
- horrible customer service experience: they have zero response and just pass you from department to department.
