I hate Verizon!
October 12, 2022

I thought no company could possibly ever be worse than Comcast used to be in their worst days. Verizon has proved me wrong. I despise this company, and wish they would just go out of business. Without fail their customer service is either nonexistent, or they screw up everything, or they screw up everything but act like they're going to assist you. It isn't even worth going through any details. They are terrible and impossible to deal with across the board, for anything you might need, and regardless of whether you're a consumer or a business account. Even when it comes to sales they screw up everything! Never mind saying I hate Verizon. I D-E-S-P-I-S-E Verizon!

REBATE ISSUES
October 10, 2022

I'm having an issue getting the $350 rebate I'm supposed to get for binging my own device when I added another line. They said I didn't submit the form on time. I have screenshots sorting the link I was given to use to complete the form & one that shows the account I created on that link. I've spent HOURS on chat sessions & phone calls trying to get this resolved. I'm beyond frustrated. I've always paid my bills on time & have been a customer for 20 yrs. I'm gonna look into alternative companies for cell service. Their rebate program shouldn't require that the customer do anything additional to get as rebate for doing exactly what you needed to. I brought my own device. They know that because they got the line set up. Just a bunch of hoops to make their customers jump through so they don't have to pay out the rebates & blame the customer. That's NOT how you should treat customers.

Huge hassle
October 3, 2022

Verizon Customer Service should be titled Verizon CustomerTorture. It is nearly impossible to speak with a person. If one does then person has no authority to help you. It took me a half day of driving around to finally get to their 'corporate office' where they cancelled the non working account. Verizon lost my number when I tried to transfer from a shared account to my own account. They had billing information and billed me for the deadline for over two months. I had to make a complaint to Oregon consumer fraud. Then Verizon called me. They tried to threaten me with 'proving' the charges were valid. Then she would tell me she was "trying to help me". I believe this is an interrogation technique used on persons suspected of committing a crime. After many many reiterations of 'just stop billing me' she said they would stop. Losing my phone number was a huge hassle by itself. Dealing with Verizon doubled the trouble.

30 yr customer & flip phone user. In April Vz discontinued 3G in my area. No notice to me or support staff. Full month of poor service til I found out.
Problems misrepresentations, purposeful dishonesty followed. While on
the line w. Wife's T Moble to change I called Vz & ssked for Cancellation pin. Was told that none was needed, Vz allowed transfer. T Mob tried & failed to get release from Vz, 3 TIMES. Now a couple months later. Still trying to deal with overcharges (never actually recieved a bil by mail or email) I was told that was untrue, the PIN is Always needed. He got me a PIN. Vz sent a text for me to confirm the PIN. Each time there was an "Error on the Page. For a communication Co they make it, purposely very difficult & frustrating to contact real support. Management seems to care only about their multi million $$ paychecks & value of their own stock. None of all the problems I; ve had with them & hours & hours getting jerked on the phone should have happened. Fixes could be EZ if these greedy, thoughtless creeps cared about customers.

It has been a total nightmare trying to add two phone lines to our current business account. I reached out to Verizon because I was interested in adding 1 phone line to our current plan. I asked for a little better pricing since I was adding a line, and the agent told me if I added two lines, I can get a better deal. So I ordered two sim cards which I picked up at a nearby Verizon Store. When I called to activate the first SIM card, I didn't realize how difficult this task would become. I called several times, and the machine kept re-routing me, once I finally got a hold of an agent they released the call, this happened several times. After multiple attempts I finally got an agent to help. Well... so I thought, she even gave me a reference number #******* and said someone would reach out to me. After a couple of days and another round of several attempts to get a hold of a Verizon agent, someone finally takes my call. I came to find out from the agent that the reference number was not valid, and apologized for a broken promise. Broken promise, what is a broken promise? From what I understood from their agent, a broken promise is when a Verizon agent feeds you BS. This same agent connected me with someone from tech support who gave me a reference #, and told me to wait a couple of days and that I would be receiving a call back, but guess what? I'm still waiting! Two weeks later, I still don't have my phone activated. The phone number they gave was associated to a federal account. On another note, the pricing they promised me did not apply because their agent created another account instead of adding these two numbers to our existing account. Now I have two bills and over paying and still waiting to activate the second phone. This is the short story.

Avoid
September 20, 2022

I have spent over 3 hours on hold the last two days, Verizon customer service has disconnected each time I reach one of them. Prior to disconnecting, they all tell me to log into the website which I do not have access to because I have transferred my line and I am no longer considered a customer. They say they will transfer me to another department who can help me and the call ends. I explain this to them each time and without fail, they disconnect. Go into the store and they tell you to call the 1-800 number. T-Mobile or At&t, they pick up the second you call. Not Verizon, they are undoubtedly the worst. $60/ month more expensive, worse coverage and absolutely no customer service. Avoid at all cost. I will never give another penny to this company.

Nothing but repeated lies
September 19, 2022

After 20+ years with Verizon, I went to store to see about an unlimited data plan for our two phones after a few data overage charges. Nick said it would cost $110 per month + taxes & fees. The first bill was for over $166. Only about $15 of that was taxes and fees. I called. He said it was because our billing cycle changed. The next bill was over $144. I called the store again. The billing cycle never changed. I called again. They refused to explain the charges and said there is nothing they could do. Our bill is now much higher than it ever was before - even with the occasional data overage. I would willingly pay the expected $125/month as agreed, but $144-$166 is outrageous. The most we ever paid previously even with excess data charges was about $120. We do not watch videos or stream music on our phones. I rarely even use mine, preferring a land line.

Verizon has the world's worst customer service. I could switch to Visible and not pay for non-existent "customer service", but will try Consumer Cellular instead. I HATE to do business with the utterly dishonest Verizon corporation - and Visible is owner by Verizon.

It is a long story started 2 and half years ago. To renew my contract they got me! Mary Grace her name… told me something promising and here we go! They got me. As usual every month $100.00 to even up more and honest to GOD every month more and more more and more and no one told me why. That's after I spend every time wasting one hour average with reps. Until yesterday, Sep 15,2022 a rep by the name John told me what happened and said he is sorry to tell me that Grace got you!
She changed my plan without tell me what is going to happen. I only told him she said every month you pay NO MORE THAN $279.00 I agreed! And here we go'
Liars and professional liars. People read about them and be careful, please count to hundred before locking yourself with them. They were trained and they are trained on how to lie to you. Well, I am waiting to see what other company can take us to switch free of charge. Email me if you have a question.

VERIZON CLAIMS
September 14, 2022

I called Verizon today 09-13-2022 about a claim on my phone that I will need to make and I was told that there will be a $250.00 deductible, and that Verizon can not help me with my claim and that I need to call a company called Asurion.

I told the man that answered the phone at Verizon that I was not told the above when I switched to them from AT&T, and that I was only told by a Verizon store employee that I will only pay $16.00 per month insurance and that that insurance will cover any damages that I might have in the future.

I recently switched from Verizon Wireless because their cell service was very poor in my area, and now have much better service.

My primary complaint is that when someone switches service, Verizon closes the account so that you can't make any payments online. On top of that, if you try to call them to make a final payment in their call center, they can't help you because the account is no longer active – and they send you in circles with long hold times, only to tell you that they can't help. How utterly stupid is this? The only option is to wait for a bill to come in the mail. Of course, their bill charged me for the entire month even though i cancelled service much earlier – and forget about contacting them for any information or credits because you no longer have an account! So, i sent the whole bill to them through my bank and in the meantime they turned me over to a collection agency.

Seriously? They threaten my credit rating because of their incompetence and mismanaged system?

I will forever advise anyone interested in cell service to stay away from Verizon.

I have been 20 yr customer of Verizon. I had 2 I-4 phones and decided to change to I -12. My bill was set at an affordable price. But when I recieve my first bill was 91.70 my next bill was 273.25. I tried many times but with no avail. They have lie to me so many times. I was told my bill was going to be 91.70. But my bill will be 154.00. When I turned Verizon into the FTC I was told I wasn't the first person to filed a complaint. RUN fast and don't look back!

Chip failed
September 8, 2022

Verizon's sim chip failed in my iPhone 12 Mini today and they proceeded to cut off my wife's phone (so I couldn't verify my account) and then customer service trolled me for two hours about validating who I was from my wife's phone on our account (the one they also switched to an E sim without being requested to). All in all, I've spent 7 hours today trying to resolve my connectivity issues for both our phones. After driving to the local Verizon store which was closed due to staffing issues (can't verify myself or my phones, door closed, not in operation) I was forced to go to a third party Verizon store to get my wife's phone turned back on and sim sorted. My phone never reconnected, even with a new 4g physical sim chip installed and the phone wiped.

Great customer service
September 3, 2022

I live in North Myrtle Beach and I recently exchanged an old ipad for a new. I bought two screen savers and received help updating all my old apps to my new ipad. Demarious was very patient and knowledgeable with all my needs. I hope that his supervisor knows that Demarious gives 110 percent in Outstanding customer service. In fact as I was waiting for all the service provided me, I observed that all the employees were doing a great job getting in, and out many customers. I always go there for everything Verizon and am most definitely satisfied with every service I was provided.

Verizon call back
August 30, 2022

I have spoken to two reps one at 8 this morning and another at 10 both lengthy calls. Problem fixed as I talked on my direct line. Will call back in 5
Nothing is fixed and they know it but just left it hanging.? Just spoke to an extremely RUDE customer service rep
Who let me know I had to call from another phone to set up my new phone, that's set up but not finished.
When I laughed and said this would have been nice to know 2 calls ago
She said "that's just tuff luck"
NO that's horrible service for help.
I was irritated but polite, calm and cool just wanted to be able to use my phone?
All of this crap after picking up my phone from a Verizon store and told we don't transfer phones
What crap. Only took 5 minutes to purchase it tho‍

A rip off! Stay away!
August 30, 2022

My 84 year old mother was sold 2 flip phones at Walmart. She only wanted a way for her mentally challenged 60 year old son, to be able to be reached. No texting, no internet, just simply a way to call. All of the bills were over $300 a month! We called, and called. Customer service is a joke! Once finally, I reached an agent, they claim these are data charges! This went on for several months. We finally drove to the nearest Verizon Store and returned a phone, which it cost over $300 for her to do that. Most people wouldn't have paid anything but she wanted to do the right thing. Shame on you Verizon. You ripped me off an elder widow.
