I've had a phone with verizon for twenty five years. I went on because I had added a tablet and do not need to have it anymore.
I spent 25 minutes looking for a way to disconnect it. The only option was is disconnected, and it would automatically come back after thirty days. I had to call customer service and spent an additional twenty minutes and all they did is give me the run around until I finally was able to suspend my ipad.
Verizon doesn't give a damn its customer AT ALL. I've had a business account with them for years and they overcharged me for lines I didn't even have, services I never signed up for or even had on the phone and equipment I never ordered. The guys in the store don't care to help if they can't make a sale that's all they care about. This is literally the worst company I've ever done business with. They overcharge and have a lengthy track record of it and good luck trying to get your money back not if but WHEN they do. Corporate leadership is a $#*!ing joke. They were over charging me for phone lines i never had and for services i never signed up for and never received we're talking a substantial amount in overcharges for years and they have acknowledged it and I've even been in contact with executive relations which is just a fancy title for no reason and they have been promising me a credit on the account for months. The call center reps are outsourced overseas, you can barely understand most of them and they can't help you do a damn thing. They can take a payment and that's about it. Billing, financial services dept, technical support reps over the phone have no idea what they're doing. They outsources overseas to save a buck knowing it would sacrifice customer service ability for its customers but they don't care. The reps will lie, hang up on you frequently and they won't call back or try to follow up. Verizon will steal your money they don't give a damn about their customers. If you do business with this company you WILL regret it I promise you. If Verizon used to be the best their not anymore!
An entire month without service, a month that was paid for. On phone & live chats multiple times for long periods of time with promises of a credit for lack of services. Now they are refusing to credit me because they never fixed my issue so I cancelled my account. They still owe me for what I paid for without service, regardless. BEWARE OR SHADY BUSINESS PRACTICES FROM VERIZON. This is how they treat a 65 year loyal customer, as they state. HA HA!
VERIZON IS WORSEST CUSTOMER SERVICE AND WIRELESS CARRIERSERVICE EVER IN UNITED STATES! VERIZON HAS BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE AND BAD WIRELESS SIGNAL. I CANNOT SOLVED SIGNAL ISSUES IN MY AREA. ALSO I CALLED CUSTOMER SERVICE FOR CREATING ACCOUNT THAT WAS MISERABLE THEY HANG UP PHONE TO ME AND NEVER CALLED BACK.
If anyone is thinking of switching to Verizon, DON'T. We've been through literally one of the worst customer service experiences I have ever had. On Christmas Eve, almost TWO weeks ago, my husband noticed that his phone had "SOS Only" in the upper right hand corner and he was having trouble making/receiving calls or sending/receiving texts. Then, he started getting an error message that said "SIM Failed." We tried the Verizon online chat first. After trying an eSim that failed, the representative didn't know what the issue was and was going to escalate us to Tier 2. The website timed out on the way to the tier 2 representative. We logged back in immediately and started up the chat...we didn't get a response at all. Nothing. We took the phone into our nearest Verizon store on December 26. Within 2 minutes of my husband describing the issue without so much as LOOKING or even GLANCING at the phone, the woman said it had to have been an iPhone issue and advised us to submit an insurance claim or pay off the iPhone/buy a new phone. I came home, called the insurance (Asurion) for a claim. They agreed it was likely the phone and sent a replacement phone via FedEx. That arrived today. When my husband tried to set the new device up, it gave him the same "SIM Failed" message and the new device won't make/receive calls or send/receive texts. Got back on with Verizon customer service. Tried calling first, the automated system hung up on me the first time without connecting me to a rep, and the second time it didn't understand anything I was saying, despite wording it several different ways. Tried the Verizon chat again. Turns out, it's very likely the SIM card itself, not the device. So now my husband has been without a working phone for two weeks and the issue was misdiagnosed this entire time. Now we have to go back to the Verizon store tomorrow where the online customer service rep claims they will have a new SIM card onsite (I'll believe it when I see it). I've spent literally hours with Verizon customer service agents on this issue. To say that I am utterly disgusted, disappointed, frustrated, and angry with the service we have received would be a complete understatement.
I wish I could take away stars. I have been trying to get a refund for a prepaid account that will no longer work after 12/31/2022 and they have lied about refunding the money. I have never received it. They are theives, it is $246.00, which may not be much to most people but it will bay my groceries for a month. I have been trying for 3 days to speak with someone and can't a live person.
After spending a total of 11 hours on my phone talking and being on hold with Verizon to add three phone lines to my account; an account I've been using for over 15 years with zero late paid monthly bills, I finally just gave up. They took my fingerprints (sent me an app for doing so and who knows now who has a copy of my fingerprints), copies of my DL, etc. And still no phones that I offered to pay cash for. Makes you think just how dishonest is Verizon...
I have had a terrible experience as a new customer and am already trying to cancel my subscription. To put this in greater perspective, in my 31 years on this planet, I have never once tried to cancel something I just started as a new customer. That alone should tell you how bad it's been dealing with them.
I'm honestly so pissed right now from dealing with them, I don't even want to type out a full review. It's honestly hard to even put it all in words the experience I've had. Alright so here is the issue. Me and my ex wife just got divorced. She had an account with Verizon for a mobile hotspot. She cancelled the service because she doesn't need it anymore. She gave me the device. I dealt with someone from Verizon's chat who set me up with a new account using the same device. He told me that I will be able to use it after I set up the new account. I chose a plan for 90 bucks a month. He sets it up and says your service will kick in within 15 minutes. Hours later it still wasn't working, so I finally got through to someone from their live chat again. This time they said I need to contact the fraud department as there is a hold on my device and that I can't do that now because their fraud department is closed. Fine. Later that day I contacted the fraud department, hold removed. Think that's the end of it? Nope. I get home and try to use my device and nothing. Again, I reach out to them… "hey the device is still not connected to the internet." Spend about 30-40 minutes giving all of the information they asked for. Brandon from the live chat then tries to cut the chat off, even after providing ample proof of me signing up for a whole new account in my name, telling me to have the account holder contact them. Well, Brandon, I am the account holder. So long story short (or maybe it's still long) I just signed up for a new account 4 days prior and am still not able to use the device that I have paid for. No help from Verizon whatsoever. Please understand I've spent HOURS dealing with them in total about this issue to no resolve. Well, I guess now I will have to go through the process of my bank to dispute the charges and find another company to do business with. This is the first time I've ever attempted to do business with them and it is my last. They will definitely never earn my business again and I will definitely steer any other potential customer away. Good job, Verizon! You just lost a new customer!
After nearly 20 years as a business customer we switched our phones service to a platform that is more compatible with what we needed for our office and patients. Apparently, Verizon states on 6TH PAGE of the 7 PAGE BILL when your renewal is coming up and if you do not reply within 60 days they automatically renew it for 2 YEARS! The supervisor, Tanesha, was no help what so ever. Although this is legal, it is quite the gray area.
I switched to Verizon One Talk and purchased new desk phones for our small business. The caller ID has been showing up incorrectly since the system was installed 6/22, and after multiple emails and phone calls it remains still uncorrected. The voice quality is inferior. I am continually disturbed by crackling on the line, and more often than not the other party thinks that I have put down the phone and left the room because my voice sounds so distant and faint. This is by far the worst phone system that I have ever used, and the customer service is horrendous. Verizon does not even handle the customer service for the OneTalk program, as it is provided by a third party. They are pleasant folks to deal with, however they are so limited in what they can actually do to help with technical issues. It has taken them 6 months to get Verizon to even create a ticket and initiate the troubleshooting and repair process. As the above-described issues remain unresolved I can NOT recommend using Verizon for supplying or supporting an office phone system.
Bought two A03 phones from our local verizon store. Had problems from Day one. If i went beyond the wifi range of my home, i could not make anything but Emergency Calls. By the time i went through customer service 4 times, where they reset the system of our phones, 3 months elapsed. Was given the 611 Loyalty Department for some kind of resolution. This was a complete waste of my time because over the 3 months I tried to deal with customer service, i had ammassed over $800.00 in cost for Every Product involved, and for getting rid of the A03's and upgrading to the Pixel 7 Pro. (Pro yet to be determined). But the Loyalty department representative i spoke with showed very little care as to my situation and gave us a Whopping $95.00 credit on my next bill. If I ever have the need to change. Phones again, i can assure you it will not be with Verizon. No wonder as i just yesterday found out that my 3 best friends, (Neighbors) All Have AT&T. Wish i had of known that 90 days ago. Just an FYI to anyone living in the Northeastern part of Georgia. But my advice to anyone shopping for a new phone. Do your homework well in advance of what type of phone you purchase, who the provider is and their service record in your area. Also check the Ratings and Reviews of any phone you think you might want to purchase. Just checked verizon. Out of 746 Reviews, They Got A 1.3 out of 5 Star Rating. Hindsight is 20/20. And I do have Proof of Purchase. Never put your phone on auto pay from a Debit or Credit Card. As i have learned, know what you are paying before you pay for it. PSS. I was asked 5 times through customer service if i wanted the Home Protection Package and Declined it every time. When i went through my receipt, there it was. A note saying Thank You For Your Home Protection Package. Moral Fiber is out the window as far as i am concerned. And i thought Used Car Salesmen or women got a Bad Rap...
I contacted the CEO by email and Alisa, an Executive Customer Service Rep. The following are the emails with the Executive CS rep from Verizon. Dear Patricia Sanchez,
Thank you for your response. I have been unable to contact you via telephone on %%%% as it is stating it is no longer in service. The cell number provided ending in %%%% is going straight to voicemail. I have emailed you return labels for the newly purchased equipment. I am very sorry to hear about your poor customer experience.
Devices and accessories purchased between November 24,2022 and December 15,2022, may be returned or exchanged on or before January 14,2023. As we are required to collect sales taxes on the new equipment, sales tax would be required to be re-paid for the exchange order. The previous charge would be refunded once we receive the original equipment back. Your current iPhone 14 Pro has a screen size of 6.1 Inches. The iPhone 14 Pro Max has a screen size of 6.7 inches. The iPhone 14 Pro Max are currently on backorder until December 23,2022, so I would recommend returning your current phone and ordering the larger one as soon as possible to avoid any delay. Sincerely,Alisa
Dear Alisa, I am sorry you have not been able to reach me. I have very poor cell service in my home. If you give me a number I will contact you ASAP. Now, as far as your email it was cold and unhelpful. You have no idea what happened and how I was FORCED to take the unwanted equipment out of the store and become responsible for it. The hours of wasted time and money. I lost a night of driving Uber. Thank you so much for taking the time To send me return labels, now I have to pack the stuff make sure it is protected and is received at the company, checked in, and then wait for the credit. The box and stuffing cost money and I live on SS. I am 65 and handicapped. What are the chances this stuff will be lost, damaged, or stolen during shipping? Guess who will be responsible? ME! I want to get a much better Resolution. I hope we can speak very soon. Patricia
All Alisa did was repeat the instructions on returns. She did state I could go to the store in Ithaca, NY which I did. I received a $350 bill for 3 lines I never ordered. I went to the store in Ithaca and spoke with the manager Marisa, who as far as I am concerned is the only Verizon rep out of 15 that I have spoken to or emailed who knew her job. She was shocked at the events that surrounded this debacle. I was in and out of the store within 30 minutes receipts of return in hand. If Marisa would have been the very first Verizon rep I spoke to about a new iPhone and service I believe I would have been a very informed and happy customer instead of a woman on a mission to stop everyone I can from becoming and or staying a Verizon Customer, Stay tuned
My only reason for this review is to save you from getting in tangled with this company. My ordeal started out on Black Friday speaking with an on-line Version rep. I expressed a number of times that I needed a bigger screen on my iPhone because I was driving Uber. I told her I had an IPhone 8plus and I wanted a BIGGER screen. She ordered me a IPhone 14 max plus, my son put the taxes on his CC as a Christmas gift and I took off for the 45 minute drive to the Verizon in Cortland, NY. I was really happy and excited walking into the store and 5 or more hours later I left the store crying feeling totally disappointed, disgusted and drove back with equipment I did not want. The phone the rep ordered was smaller than mine. All I wanted to do was exchange that IPhone 14 for a 13 max plus and use the money already charged. I will say that Joe at the store was as upset as me. Let me repeat I was ENTRAPPED and forced to walk out of the store with 1000's of dollars of equipment I did not want. I am now responsible for returning this equipment so that my son can get his refund. I emailed the CEO of Verizon got a senior complaint officer who nicely told me to F-OFF! Before you sign with this company do some research. There are better cell phone companies out there. I think I will look into Mint Mobile. Also, this is how they treated a potentially new customer. I guess they Don't need any more customers.
I spend over a $1000/month with Verizon. For this they give me nothing but grief. Customer service is non existent. If there was another choice I would switch immediately. Simply put a horrible, horrible company.
I switched to Verizon for my phone and 5g home internet. From day one it was slow starting around 2pm and would stay slow until about 11pm. I had multiple tickets in for this issue and they told me others in my area had tickets in for the same thing. The ping would go up to 600-700ms during this time. I was told each ticket would take up to 7-10 days, about the 7th day on each ticket they would close it and say resolved and then open another ticket for the same issue and tell me to wait another 7-10 days. Finally a tier 2 support manager told me the tower in my area is just overloaded and there is nothing they can do to resolve the issue unless they decide to build another tower in the area. I paid off my phone and tried to take it to another provider and they won't release my phone for 60 days even though I can't use my phone half of the time. The customer service is also horrible, no one seems to know what they are doing or who they need to transfer you to. I spent 2 hours on the phone and transferred to 4 people an know one knew who they needed to talk to about getting my phone unlocked so I can take it to another provider that can actually provide service in my area that actually works.
If you owe Verizon a cent of last month's bill they lock you out of the app. My bill should be 150 but every month I owe about 450. Because I'm less than 1 month passed due I'm not able to speak with an agent to unlock my account and see the bill. I tried their chat room they suggested but it's another AI that has a payment link that doesn't work and no way to get the account unlocked to make a payment. Verizon is by far the worst phone company I've had. Get a company you can trust
Visited the Verizon store at the corner of Colonial and Six Mile Cypress this morning. Experienced a female brunette salesperson with disgustingly HUGE fake eyelashes. I waited for 10 minutes for the store to open and get assistance setting up a new phone. (Mine was stolen) The representative didn't ask any clarifying questions before immediately talking down to me as though I were an idiot. I told her I knew my apple ID and the new phone was not recognizing it. Two different times she stated "If you don't know your apple ID." I said I do know it. Her professional comment was "Do you want my help or not"? I've been in sales my whole career and I understand completely that I needed to talk to Apple, but this representative needs some training in how to treat clients who are experiencing an issue. There was no empathy, professionalism or respect for the client by this rep and she just escalated what could have been a very easy conversation.
This is the worst experience I've ever had with a cellphone several provider. Since I started the service I've had to call over the course of this year over 30 times. The service is horrible and the equipment keep malfunctioning. I've been having trouble with billing and the customer service is absolutely horrible, the worst. Every customer service rep I talked to tells a different story and they never return your phone call. As we speak im dealing with another issue with this equipment. I purchased a brand new phone when the service started and since then I've had to get 3 different replacement refurbished devices in its place because they don't send out new phones for warranty. Even if it's not your fault and these refurbished phones only last a couple months and they break. Now they sent me another phone that supposedly should be warranty and I have over a 600 dollar charge that a rep told me I have to pay for. And the problem is not my fault. Like I say whoever reads this review I highly suggest you to find another wireless provider because Verizon is the worst company out there to deal with. I have a business account and every month I have to stop working to call Verizon for a problem. This is ridiculous and bow there telling me that I have to pay over 3k dollars to get out of a contract. This is a rip off and should be a crime. Please do not use Verizon. Im warning you all.
When you call Verizon for issue about billing they do not respond correctly when you ask for extension or if an issue arises on payment.Verzion will unless you over the phone and make a stories to harass you about payment. He also text you eight times in form harassment and coercion to make you pay the bill. Verizon also control your TV by cutting it off with TV interruptions until the bill is paid and do not give you proper information on what you owe by mail and they will send your name to the debt collectors to collect without the federal reporting act law
I've wasted hours online with various chat agents (some that Verizon claims are live agents), and still can't log into my long-standing account. When I try to log in, I'm asked security questions that I've never seen before--clearly not ones I would have chosen. When I try to get help, the chat agent tells me I need to log into my account first before I can get help. It's an endless, time-wasting loop. Also, my Verizon cell phone also has terrible reception where I live--in the middle of a large city, but that's another issue.
I have been with Verizon for years for my medium sized business. I can't stress enough for anyone considering doing business to re consider! Their GPS platform is a never ending contract with severe penalties for canceling. Their phone service "one talk" does not work for my business needs, the KPI's are almost non existent. The salesperson lies in the implementation to make me buy the product. My reach lists to management are so far unsuccessful. By the way we spend over $5000 a month on Verizon services, and get absolutely horrible support
Verizon got me to sign up telling the phone is unlocked and if I had an issue paying my bill let them know so when I lost my job and contacted them I got a run around my phone was shut off and when I asked for the carrier to be unlocked because I got a sim card from the government which is through Verizon so I could get another job they tell me they won't unlock the phone I was originally told was unlocked until my bill is paid in the original papers the policy stated that it was locked for 60 days at which time if it was not reported lost or stolen or fraud it would be unlocked. They sent me different papers that I never signed and was told one thing and then shown another. Verizon is a joke and I will never use them again. I can't pay the bill without a way to contact or for the jobs to contact me and I can not afford another phone. Bbb is supposed to be on their side but if you are mislead, lied to or just good old manipulated for their sales that should be a just reason to do something about it would it not?
This year I added a line during the bring your own device get $500... then they claimed I canceled a line and needed to pay the $500 back so that was added to my next bill. No help with customer service at all. Then recently I upgraded my phone and my husband to get 800 off of the new phones this was in Sept. Here we are in November I get an email saying they are taking the 1 of the promotions back because they didn't receive the device. I said how you guys receive one phone and not the other when they were taken to UPS the same day. Make it make sense. The trade in occurred on Sept 10 and the phones were received back to them on Sept 26 which is not 30 days. I'm sick of this company and wouldn't refer them to anyone. Just a money racket and no experienced help. So don't even bother to ask for a Supervisor because they are never available
I cancelled service on 5 lines only 3 days into my billing cycle and was only credited $43 out of $280 bill. So I had to pay $237 for 3 days service! What a ripoff. Go with Spectrum, only $29.99 per line ( no extra fees or taxes)
Answer:Go to My Verizon, click the 3 bars at lower right. In drop down menus hit contact us then schedule a call. They will call you about the time you scheduled a call-back.
