Why Vayama? Why?
June 1, 2016

I have never seen a more incompetent company with a complete disregard to their customers.
Sure, an extra bad review won't achieve much - but I will never use Vayama EVER AGAIN. I would rather kayak my way from the Middle East to the States than support this immoral company.

I call them 2-3 times a day for the past couple of weeks and they don't know, don't want, to fix a name error.

I never thought about suing a company before. But they deserve it

Avoid at all costs
May 26, 2016

Avoid this outfit at all costs. First, they screwed up the names on the tickets (which have to match your passport after all), then invoked some fine print in their terms to prevent me from re-booking a ticket when my plans changed. After over an hour on hold, speaking with barely intelligible reps, they refused to make the change, even after I confirmed with the airline that a change was possible. You might save a couple dollars on the ticket, but in the future I will always book through the airline of a reputable travel site. This mistake cost me a couple thousand dollars.

Worst! Negative. DO NOT use VAYAMA
April 14, 2016

I have called customer service to make some corrections in my name. First time when I called from US (time 8PM) and I got information that the name changing team will be available only after 2PM and asked me call back. I waited till 2am US time and called them up. Surprise! Team again told me to call after 4:30PM as only then name changing team will be available. No other option provided. As there was no alternative, I had called them again at 5am US time and luckily name changing team was available. After a LONG LONG wait (25-30 mins) on the phone they finally said that they need to contact airline service before they can confirm. And there is no guarantee also provided what would happen. Even if airline accepts, these people will charge me around $150 for name change and also I have to pay the difference as per the new ticket cost. Apart from that, they gave a nice advice to cancel my ticket which will charge me $175 and book the ticket AGAIN. My only question is: why couldnt I get this answer on my first call itself! Now the ticket prices are hiked by $200 within this customer service time. Finally I had to cancel my ticket (bearing huge cancellation charges) and gone to another website with increased prices. The way the service was offered and the concern to the customers is very very less. I have used a lot of services but this is the worst among all. Totally disappointed.

I had some issues, but they have been resolved
April 6, 2016

I had some issues initially and if interested it is possible to find in some cache web-sites. However issues have been resolved and since I put previously some personal information into review, I am updating it with this quick note.

I'll use Vayama again!
April 4, 2016

We went on Safari to Africa and purchased through Vayama a one way ticket on Precision Air form Kilimanjaro to Dar Es Salaam to connect to a KLM flight to Amsterdam. When we got to the airport, we were told by Precision Air that our flight was delayed and we cannot make the connection to KLM. We immediately made some frantic calls to Amsterdam and were
Re-routed to another KLM flight from Kilimanjaro. Upon returning home, we contacted Precision Air to get refund on our tickets (BIG MISTAKE!). They are one of the worst ever airlines to deal with. Luckily, I contacted Vayama (David Rush) and told them the saga we went through.
Vayama tried to contact Precision Air but guess what, no luck too. Shortly thereafter, Vayama got back to me, apologizing and offered us $200 coupon to use on any flight booked with them.
I loved their response and plan to use them more in the future.

Worst travel site
March 15, 2016

I booked a flight that left two days later, and they said they needed to confirm my credit card payment with my bank and I should wait 48 hours. After 36 hours, the reservation had been cancelled without as much as a warning email! Had I not logged in I would have been awaiting for the flight. Their answer "book a $200 more expensive flight"! They claim they processed the card three time but the bank has no record of that and when I called to warn them they said they had no reason to decline the transaction. Vayama took no responsibility in covering the extra costs or explaining why they aren't even able to send an email to say the booking was cancelled. AVOID!

Sucks big time!
March 11, 2016

Can't imagine that service can be this bad! I booked a trip for 2 person and received confirmation for only one of them. Called them and they apologized and were able to get me the ticket for second person BUT under different trip ID, read as 2 separate travelers by the airline. IT DIDN'T END HERE! They wrongly spelled second person's name!

I wrote them an email TWICE receiving an email response that they will get back to me WITHIN 24 hours. Joke! Called them after 48 hours. Happened to talk with a guy Anto (from India)... telling me that they have not heard back from airline so they did not respond to my message... he was convinced that it was a right thing to do. AND also that spelling mistake was made on my end because the information filled on their website directly goes to airline... even though I confirmed the spellings nearly 10 times before submitting my request and these were also confirmed by my wife sitting right next to me.

When I asked him that if that's the case then why you sent me an itinerary with only one travelers name on it when you charged me for 2. And also that I have documents with proofs for all of this. He continued to repeat same crap! Not only this... he interrupted me at least 3 times in the middle to tell me the same $#*!. When I asked to talk with supervisor..."He is not available. You will have to call after 3 hours". For reference, supervisor's name was told to be William. He also told me that I have to send them the scans of travelers passport to get anything fixed and that "this is the ONLY way anything can be done".

Instead of wasting my time to talk with these thick-heads, i called airline and they fixed everything over the phone.

This is my first review ever about anything in my life. I am doing it considering this as my responsibility to warn others.

Worst costomer service EVER!
March 2, 2016

I cannot leave a zero rating... too bad, Vayama deserves it! Yes, they have decent rates... lousy customer service. Just send them an e-mail Okay. I sent twenty e-mails over five weeks! (That they say will be responded to in 24 hrs... do not bet your house on it.) I also called them five times and spent a combined 90 minutes on hold to talk to a bunch of incompetent, rude customer service representatives. Only one person I talked to (The Last One) had any idea what he was doing, and he actually provided enough customer service that my refund (Partial Refund) was processed. AVOID this site I booked directly with the airlines to Cebu Philippines and saved $800.00 for two round trip tickets! After paying Vayama's steep fees I still saved money booking directly with the airline of MY Choice.

Awful Experience
February 20, 2016

Avoid Vayama at all costs. First of all they failed to contact us regarding a reservation we thought we had made but there was an issue. Then, as a result of their initial blunder, we got our flights mixed up and they wanted to charge $432 for a change to correct the issue on a $132 flight. Worst experience ever. Vayama is a total joke. Zero customer service. If I could rate negative stars that's what they deserve.

Customer Service is an absolute joke
February 11, 2016

I recently booked flights for 2 people and I did get them a fair bit cheaper compared to other travel agencies. I received a confirmation email and 2 e-tickets, so assumed everything was ok. However I then had to ring the company I was lying with about booking on extra luggage, when I found out all o my details supplied o the company by Vayama were wrong, so because of data protection the could do nothing for me. I attempted to contact Vayama on several occasions, being left on hold for 20+ minutes every time before hanging up. Once I got through to an actual human, who was of no use to me what so ever and kept saying they could do nothing for me. I also emailed Vayama several times and received one VERY unhelpful email back from them, which helped me sort out NOTHING. With my flight less than a week away I have my problem half sorted it out through the company I am flying with, and with no thanks to Vayama. I would never book through this website again, as the stress and infuriating lack of response from Vayama just was not worth it.

*Warning! - do not use Vayama!* Nightmare of an experience.
January 13, 2016

I was shopping around for 2 tickets from Vancouver to Paris for this summer this past Saturday (12/9/16) morning and was happy to find very cheap tickets through NYC on Kayak.com. I've used Kayak.com before. Never again. Within a few hours of my transaction I received an email and then a phone call that said my "card had been declined- please contact you bank and then contact us to rerun your card." I called my bank (Chase) and they said they stopped the transaction because they thought it was possibly fraudulent. Unblocked my account and said I was good to go. I called Vayama- which by the way is NOT in Woodside, CA when you call *******545)- you reach INDIA and ONLY will reach India (believe me I called MANY times). They said "Fine ma'am we'll rerun your card and in 3-4 hours you'll receive a confirmation email". I waited 6 hours and nothing so I called back. "Yes ma'am I promise you when you wake up tomorrow you will have a confirmation email". Instead of waking to an email I was actually woken up by a phone call from Vayama saying "Ma'am your card has been delcined." I asked if they had tried to run my card again. After some time the lady said no just one attempt yesterday. But by the way the fair has gone up by $10. I asked why. She didn't answer me, just long silences and then back saying "Yes ma'am your fair has increased by $4." I asked which it was and she said it was $4. I asked if I could speak to a manager and she said that there are no managers there on the weekend. She said they would be re-running my card and to wait 3-4 hours and I would get a confirmation email. (I swear they have limited scripts they read from and that is it!) I asked for a manager and she gave me this number *******856- again NOT CA). I called- I got a gentleman in India. So at this point I call my bank and ask if they had attempted again and they told me no. So I still have no idea why I got the call Sunday morning. So another 6 hours later still nothing so I called the "manager #" back. Again the SAME thing. They told me it was being processed and to give it until Monday afternoon and it would be done. "PROMISE Ma'am!" At this point I started looking up reviews online about Vayama and began to get SCARED! I went to work Monday morning worried and hoping I wasn't going to lose my money or possibly my a$$ over this sketchy deal. 3 p.m. Monday and still no money withdrawn and no email. I called and got the first English speaking person on the phone. I asked directly for a Manager and he gave me, get this, the original number I called Saturday! Really? The gentleman on the phone told me to wait 3-4 hours... at that point I was done. I told him to please cancel my tickets and I made him wait on the phone with me until I received the cancellation email. It was sketchy- a typed email directly from the guy on the phone. :/ He said that I "shouldn't" see any changes on my bank account but if so to "call back". Sure. No. I called my bank and they said they couldn't block them from making charges and that the only thing I could do would be to cancel my debit card and get a new one- so I did. Please aware that if you have ANY adverse issues with your tickets you purchase on Kayak and Vayama is the company handling the ticketing you will get ZERO help and you will potentially never get your tickets. I have read NO positive reviews about this company and I BEG you not to use them. Literally the most frustrating helpless situation I've ever been in.

Worst service ever
January 1, 2016

My flight was canceled and I had to rebook it. It was Trouble on trouble in every step of the way. Going into detail and ranting about it would take more time than I care to put into it. I was bouncing between Vayama and the airline about 4 times. Bad slow service. DO NOT BOOK.

Warning... do not use!
November 22, 2015

Do not use this site. For your own sake if you do not want to get screwed and want to make your flight find another site with which to book your ticket. I booked a flight with these guys, and some how they managed not to book the flight. I called them up for customer support, but was surprised to find that they were completely useless. They said they cant help me, and that there is nothing they can do. After trying to explain that its urgent, they just simply hung up the phone. This company probably consists of two guys in a basement somewhere with a computer

Stay away
November 9, 2015

I just used these jokers and they have told me they couldn't confirm the flight and now i have to wait up to 10 days to get my refund. By which time the price of the flight will at least 300 more. Kayak has always been a decent company. They are making a mistake aligning with vayama. And of course there is nobody on the phone to answer...

Never use Vayama
November 9, 2015

Had to tell about our recent Vayama experience. They had our last names on our tickets as "Mr" and "Mrs". This caused a $#*! storm as we were refused to board our flight to Europe. It took the airline 2 hours to fix. They had never seem anything like this. I asked Vayama why they did this, and they had no answer but to say sorry. Do not ever use them. I should have read the mostly horrible reviews... buyer beware. Cheap isn't always the way to go

NEVER BOOK WITH VAYAMA!
September 21, 2015

I had to rebook a ticket with Lufthansa. If the ticket was purchased directly trough Lufthansa, you would spend 2 clicks and $150 for rebooking fees. Unfortunately, if you book through Vayama, you need to change the ticket through them as well. It took me 3 phone calls (each ~30 minute long) and $250 to rebook through Vayama customer representative. They just rip you off. They mentioned in their Ts&Cs that there is a rebooking processing fee of UP TO $100, but they forgot to let you know that it is on the top of what you pay for the airline rebooking fee. SAVE YOUR MONEY and NEVER book through them.
