I believe the paper and frame are worth that much. And considered how rare it is, I find it hard to believe that value is $1-300…..

I felt looked after and there was a genuine interest in my items I wanted appraised.

It went as expected. On time delivery and a professional assessment of my "gods". Unfortunately the expected value of my danish china wasn't that high that I hoped but I had the feeling it wouldn't.

Information provided regarding my items was very helpful. In particular, I had some spoons given to me by an old aunt and I had no idea of their provenance. I was told they originated from the far east, which made a lot of sense knowing my aunt was a nurse in that region during WW2.

I absolutely love this company. It saves me time in trying to figure out the value of my items. The response time is quick and efficient. Will continue to use them.

Armchair assessment - no research, The majority of antique roll top desks online are minamilly three times mystuff estimate. This one cery very rare: 3 tambours.

Appreciated the details added to the appraisal of my Persian rug. It was worth the price to have a knowledgeable person evaluate the item.

A detailed report gave me information I did not have.

I specifically mentioned that the base of an item was made of brass. By a picture, the appraiser insisted that it is wood. I asked for a redetermination. It was late and unchanged. The manager who monitors the mailbox was indifferent. She suggested I take it somewhere in person. No apologies for my time or cost.

For $28 I got a value. That's it: no evidence there was any real work done, nothing to give to, say, an insurance company, no discussion of how they came to their conclusion, no comparables, nothing. The "certificate" you get is 6 pages of reminders of how you may not use or rely on it. Essentially 6 pages of how $28 gets you what you pay for.

I suppose everyone expects a high valuation of their item, but mine was derisory. A 9ct gold wristwatch, Omega make, in excellent condition was valued at £180.
Given the current price of gold at approx £67 per gram, the scrap value is worth more than £180.
Not realistic!
