I have ordered from utsav several times in the past - even for some of my wedding outfits and have always been pleasantly surprised.

The last order I put in however, was not great! I ordered the attached suit. Not only was the colour off, the material was not as shown in the picture. The website shows the suit as being a vibrant green with shiny/silky pants. I received a dull green with the material for suit and pants being the exact same. I have attached what I received.

I paid $200 CAD + $70 for duties on this suit! It was not worth it. If i saw this suit in store I wouldn't have spent any more than $100.

UPDATE: Utsav contacted me the same day I put this review up and were very quick to try to resolve this issue. They never blamed the customer and were honest to say that they understood that the suit was not as depicted. They apologized and we worked out a solution. I will give them that - there customer service is amazing! Regardless of this small hiccup, Utsav will make things right... so I will continue shopping with them!

At first I saw some clothes that I really liked and placed an order. Then I started reading reviews about how the orders take forever, and I freaked out and tried to cancel. At first, I got super worried. I live in the US and this is an overseas company. I was worried they would give me a hard time about cancelling & refunding the order. I talked to 2 different customer service agents over the course of two days. They assured me my order would be cancelled and the funds would be returned. I was still super skeptical, but I decided to chill out. I got refunded the entire payment and the custom charges after 3 days. So not bad at all.

For anyone looking for items that will ship faster, make sure the item says In Stock and Ships in X days.

Friends wedding is coming up and she recommended Utsav as she has lots of ordering history with this company. I browsed their website and its very user friendly, easy to navigate, set up an account etc. I spent a whole sunday looking through their website trying to figure out what I should order, what my friend required. The selection is HUGE and so many to choose from.
I ordered two saree's. You are able to submit "custom" measurements through their third party site. The only caution i have here is be aware if you are allowed to have the blouse custom designed or not. One Saree was just delivered and it fit exactly as i submitted it. The stitching is beautiful and you can tell is done by hand. The fabric seems very delicate/thin as i chose the chiffon. The petticoat and blouse are made of scratchy material, almost like hospital scrubs. The pacakge arrived with the fabric wrapped up in a plastic envelope with a zipper to protect it during travel. I LOVED THIS. Now i can store my fabrics when not in use and while travelling. Thank you fo that Utsav! I'm waiting for my second one to come in as i requested the blouse to be made specific to my instructions (straps/cut/length) so i hope this one fits

Highly disappointed!

I ordered a salwar almost a month ahead of Eid, and cancelled when I found out that it would reach me after Eid (although the sales rep confirmed me that I would receive it early, see below screen shot). When I tried to cancel they tried to hold back 10% as cancellation fee even though it was clearly their fault. After long back and forth IMs, they agreed to refund in full. Next day I received an email stating that if I still wanted the salwar, considering this as a special case they would like to deliver the salwar by the 24th of June (day before Eid). Before confirming the order I reconfirmed through the live chat regarding the delivery dates. It was getting so close to Eid (June 20th) I contacted them through live chat since I did not receive a dispatch confirmation. Then they irresponsibly said to me that the process has been delayed by two days since it did not pass the QC test and that it would not reach before Eid. They did not have the courtesy to even inform me well ahead of the issue until my inquiry. My concern is if they promised to handle this as a special case they should have watched this order more closely and given feedback either way since this order is time sensitive. Since they messed up my order I am literally left with zero options as what to wear for Eid (with 2 days to go) I'm only publishing this because no one should ever go through this during a special festival. However at the end of the chat I wanted someone from the management to call me. Two days has passed and I'm still waiting for the call.
It's annoying that they do not have a phone number contact them. Chat is the only way of communication.

BOTTOM LINE: It was a very unpleasant experience for me, would never shop with Utsav nor would I recommend it to anyone!

Initially I had some issues with my first order but after following up with Sayan, who I must commend for handling this matter so professionally, it was agreed that that attire be returned for a refund. This gave me confidence and to have faith in Utsav Fashion and I place a second order which I received after some delay but am very satisfied with the product. I would not hesitate to deal with this company again as long as they stick to their scheduled delivery time frame.
