Horrible! Terrible! Completely disgusting! Apparently they don't give notice when they have system updates! The fun part about all of it is they don't even have a department with any access to your account when this happens! After proving I hadn't got any type of notice, they then went on to claim The notices they claim to give are general a simply states you'll have "limited" access to your account, but in reality you'll have none! After multiple fraudulent related incidents due to us banks very weak security walls, I have to live with my account locked daily! Then let's not get started on wait and estimated hold times! I've been severely patient with them in the past but I will be moving my funds after this one! PLEASE TAKE YOUR FUNDS AND BUSINESS ELSEWHERE! U may wake up one day unable to access your hard earned money!

Unprofessional
May 23, 2023

Went to my local US bank which is located in Jamul, El Cajon CA. I was there to deposit an important check into my account. When I was trying to do that the atm wasn't working, and it didn't give my money back or the check. When I went inside to speak with an us bank representative they told me "this happen a lot today, the atm wasn't given the people his money back" but, my question is why they dindn't put an announcement there first. They wait until it happen to the next customer. They were rude. I for sure going to change my bank after this.

Horrible customer service. No one knows anything. They will ask for all personal detail, including my SSN, and they still can't open an account without my card number. And, keep forwarding calls to others and they hung up a call without any information.

I'm old school. Don't want to go online to check bank info. I would call and use the automative system. No problems. I could make sure that my transactions went through and that my balance matched their. Then they changed it. Said it was to improve the experience. It sucks. It doesn't work. Why in the world did you attempt to fix something that didn't need fixing. I have to speak to a person now or pay your bank for a statement. I think its time to open a bank account with someone else

Made $44,500 deposit.
Asked teller when the funds would be available.
Teller said "the deposit will show as pending but tomorrow it will show deposited and then funds will be available."
The correct answer is there is a 7 day business hold.
I contacted the branch manager Vivian and she did nothing. She did not address the teller nor offer to help resolve issues caused by the unavailable funds.
Do not use US Bank for finances unless you want problems, excuses and multiple phone transfers.
Today I spoke to 10 different people from US Bank and nothing has been resolved.
I've been a customer for 13 years.
I'm done using US Bank.
Use credit unions instead and stop using banks.

Numerous mis-transfers. Wrong information given out that caused me to have to go back and reestablish recurring payments. Mailed information to the wrong address even though I specifically told them this is the address I want my card sent to.

Customer service has mostly devolved to 'broken record' responses rather than problem solving.

Have to re-verify each time you are transferred even though they usually ask the same information. They say this is for security but why can't they install a secure system to transfer information with him their own bank as they do for other 'transactions'. Wish I could bill for my lost time. I am a small business owner and each of these calls to correct their errors is time away from my business.

Poor customer service
April 20, 2023

I'm a US Bank customer for the last twenty years, but recently their customer service is awful. They don't care about their customers anymore, also never admit their mistakes and they are so arrogant. I'm thinking about closing the account if this going on in the future. At least few times in the last few months I had to call their customer service and bill payment department and they were interested to resolve my issue.

I had over $1,000 of bogus charges put on my US Bank credit card, including some very obvious bogus charges (five charges at one restaurant in a single day!). And yet, after their "review" and "research", they gave me a credit of just $150! They don't protect you from fraud - they focus on nothing more than just getting paid. Can you imagine that they wouldn't cover any dollars stolen from your bank account? I absolutely could see them not covering what you lost! I would avoid this company at all cost - no credibility or integrity!

I could never get help with online banking, I had just opened the account, it takes 48 hrs. To get help with your online banking if you get locked out. I think it something shady about it, because I did put in the right password, and then I changed my password and it still locked me out, 4/14/2023 I called to try and get help, because I have been locked out again fo 48hrs. That is to long to be locked out of your account, So he tells me that my account was closed without my acknowledgments, no one helped me with the program, he said they will be sending me a cashier's check, my important money was going there and they just closed my account. Bad customer service

Constant miscommunication from bankers at branch. I'm always told one thing to find out another. Was told cash deposits are same day. I deposited $250 and had to wait two days to see it. My card pin randomly changed itself and was locked out of my card, couldn't contact customer service over phone so had to make an appointment that couldn't happen until NEXT DAY. If issues arise don't expect help. You can't just call for immediate help. The phone service will just be automated and when you ask for someone it automatically hangs up. Today was the last straw and I'm closing my account after my deposit that was in my account yesterday is just mysteriously gone and I have to wait to make an appointment to talk to someone about money that shouldn't be gone. I can't trust this bank and neither should you.

They like to pretend that their practices, (which includes things like ARM interest rates a full 300% above the prevalent APR, no notification of increases in a ARM, etc.) They design it to fail, and then they pretend like it's your fault. This is, I'm my opinion, a criminal org that will play a huge role in the crippling of this economy once and for all.

I got caught by these always-hungry vultures because the bank I originated with sold to them. I never worked have gone along with it had I known US Bank was going to be involved. Clear back in the 1980s, their predecessor was known to have been an aggravating factor in the farm crisis of that era. I'm sure they they'll come behind once again when their own practices break them. I don't care anymore. I got no home. No skin in the game anymore

Incompetent
April 4, 2023

Opened a new credit card account and requested balance transfer to pay off a personal loan. The payment was sent to the credit card company instead of the bank that holds the loan. I don't know why they did this as that was not what I requested and when I found out, I contacted US Bank to discuss. After a lengthy discussion, I was told a supervisor would contact me within 24 hours. I was never contacted.
I then called US Bank again to resolve the issue and instructed them to cancel the balance transfer and that I would enter the correct information online. I did so and also changed the amount since I had made an additional payment on the loan.
After a few days, I saw that a balance transfer had completed for the original amount and my online transaction had disappeared. Upon contacting US Bank (3rd time!), I was informed that the balance transfer I had entered was cancelled and a new one had been issued. The new one was issued to the wrong payee and address again.
As a result, the balance transfer has not been applied to pay off my loan. Since the check has apparently been cashed, I have to initiate an investigation with the payee to have the payment applied to the correct account.
I have never experienced this level of incompetence with a bank. I plan to close my US Bank credit card as soon as the funds have been applied correctly to my personal loan.
Think twice before doing business with this bank.

I open my account online in Nov. 2022, because of my disability, I am not mobile. I had to go the branch in person, many times because they stopped answering my phone calls and then began hanging up in my face. So much negativity has happened since I opened this account. I'm not sure if it's bad customer service or racism! RACISM is a hate crime!

Horrible!
March 24, 2023

How can a bank as large as USBank have a website that is so horribly bad?!?!?! I wish there was an option for a half of a star. Doing banking online in 2023 should be 100% safe, and 100% easy. I'm going to assume banking on USBank's website is safe, but it is SO frustrating time after time. The latest: I simply want to pay my water bill online. It allows me to choose the date to pay. So far, so good. I hit "send" only to get an alert saying "your bill needs attention" "please choose a later date." Why on earth do I need to choose a later date than any date that on their calendar that allows me to choose it?!?! So I choose the next day on their calendar, only to get the same error message. This goes on and on. It's unbelievable how had this website is! Can they not hire anyone who knows how to keep a website running properly? Unbelievable!

I make 6 figures and my credit score is over 800. We applied for a mortgage loan with them and 2 other places. They had the lowest interest rate so we tried to stick with them but they kept asking for unrealistic and non existent paperwork in order to get approved, every time we submitted something they came back in requested another 15 items. Some of these items we already submit it to them and others we couldn't even obtain. I cannot think based on this that it can only be discriminatory. We were approved by the other two banks and even though those had higher interest rates we ended up going with them because this bank continued to have us running around in circles. There is no reason with my income and credit score I should not have been approved. We gave them everything they asked and then they started asking for things that did not exist, which is obviously impossible. I've had no issues with any other bank and have had several houses as well as rentals that I've financed.

It looks like you offer 1.07% savings account rates with $25,000 minimum! With the increase of the federal rate that really is unacceptable! You can and should do better for your customers during these times!
