Upwork is a reliable venue for aspiring/ new freelancers like me. It is a trustworthy site and user friendly too. Its customer service is easy to reach and willing to answer your questions in a timely manner. Thank you Upwork!
Upwork helped me realize my own worth and the value of my skills in the market. Upwork helped me grow my skills beyond my wildest dreams.
There is just one thing need to be fix we spend money to buy connects, now we are facing difficulty when we have to apply on any job for 6 or 4 connects. Only this thing has to be fixed. 2 connect are best to apply on any job.
One more thing some clients are interviewing a lot of freelancers but sometimes they just don't reply many of their freelancers. There must be apply some rules on clients as well.
Have been in Upwork for almost 7 years and it greatly help me as an individual. I have the learn lots of skills from my clients and its a very good platform for every one.
Here is the best place to show everyone talent and achieve their successful goal. Keep going and show your talent with valuable customers and earn a lot of hope. Patience is the key
Upwork is my goto website to find new work.
Talk to clients and work on some amazing projects.
It helps me send direct contracts to external clients too.
Everything is so very well organised.
It's a good place to work, an individual can work on as per their choice, skills and for the Projects. I felt that I am the owner of my own work and have my great work-life balance.
The best online freelance platform. Offers a lot of opportunity for both new and skilled talents. I've been to many platform, but this one is the best!
Upwork is very easy-to-navigate platform for freelancers like me to get jobs, good value and guarantee of payment. It has a robust and efficient voice and chat tools too! Effectively, there is nothing lacking for a freelancer searching for an audience (that would otherwise be hard to reach) to put professional skills to profitable use.
Upwork is a freelance site that connects CLIENTS WITH FREELANCERS, making itself a global market hub.
Upwork is one of the best places to work on the internet. It is a super organized and top-notch professional environment.
Upwork is a fantastic platform for clients to meet freelancers, it has a good user interface and it makes interacting with clients easy, although it would be great if upwork updated their conversion rate for dollar to other currencies, as freelancers (myself) lose money when we convert to other currencies on the platform, but overall it is a great freelancing site if not the best I have used so far
I have been working on Upwork since last 10 years. It's a great platform for freelancers who want to showcase their skillset and deliver the highest quality work for different businesses / clients globally.
Upwork is great to find work, but their commission pyramid is a killer for small jobs. Unless you can get long-lasting clients (which does not always happens on several fields like graphic design and translation), you have to pay 20% over the first 500 bucks, and then 10% from $501 to $10,000, and then 5% after that. This means that Upwork keeps a huge slice of your payment, they are essentially your "partners."
That, added to the fact that the client ALSO has to pay a commission on the work they hire out, means Upwork is a silent partner in almost all of their freelancers' businesses.
If they cut down on their rates, they'd earn that last star. The website works great and there are countless opportunities to get work.
The other issue is that there are a LOT of bots and a lot of "one cent" freelancers from India and China who use auto-posting scripts to flood all jobs with over 50 offers, so I imagine it must be daunting for a client to go through that many offers and find the most competitive and professional one that fits their needs.
I've had an account from the time when it was ODesk, and that has helped me continue to get good jobs because of a very active profile filled with reviews from clients, but from what people with new accounts have told me, it is very difficult to get hired with a new account and no reviews. The flooding of offers by bots and low cost freelancers from abroad make it hard for newbies to find jobs.
In general, I do recommend Upwork, but IT CAN IMPROVE.
Being able to work remotely and especially at my own pace is something that I am very grateful for especially during these unprecedented times. I'm so happy that I am still able to earn without risking my health outside.
Upwork is an amazing community to find clients based on your specialty. They are also generous for giving additional connects that let you apply for more jobs. Their customer service is responsive. I also love their Upwork Protection for payments so I do not need to worry about my clients not paying me. I feel more comfortable working knowing that Upwork got my back.
The only con with Upwork is their app being sluggish but you just get used to it and actually that's a very small con compared to so many pros.
I am a seller on Upwork since one week now and my first impression is just amazing! I have been working on Fiverr before and wanted to test out a new platform. I can only recommend trying Upwork because it has all the features you need!
I found upwork as a truly professional platform to work as a freelancer as they have a lot of features for both the party I mean for buyer and seller like me.
It seems difficult in starting to gain the trust of clients without any reviews & ratings on profile. But once you have successfully completed a few jobs game changes. Upwork support is helpful. I can recommend it as a safe & secure platform.
Upwork is a very serious and professional website for freelancers and anyone who wants to do this kind of business. I warmly recommend everyone who has the will and who is persistent in their intentions.
Last year is good for me because of Upwork. It gives us a chance to make money during COVID 19. Big thanks to the Upwork team.
Answer: They are horrible. Every freelancer I've gotten from Upwork has cost me more to fix the small job they have done. There's absolutely no customer service! I would stay away
Answer: This is not the place to inquire.
Answer: No, just 20% of your job when we talk about fixed price, and same for hourly but after some week it's been 10%
Answer: Go to Settings › Contact Info › Click the Close my account link. If you meet the requirements, click the button to confirm that you want to close your account.
Answer: I am a customer and have had a really horrible experience. Upwork claims a 100% guarantee before you pay anything. That is not true. The process is actually quite horrible. You put money in escrow. You only get your money back after a bad contract if the freelancer agrees to release the money. If the freelancer refuses, you get a bargain offer to still pay them something but still you are paying for a bad job you can't use. Then, if you refuse to bargain over a bad job, you are told that it will cost you an additional $389 to arbitrate with a 3rd party affiliate that the customer (me), the freelancer (scammer) and Upwork (ripoff enabler) has to pay. I took it all the way to arbitration with the end result being that Upwork decided that I was just too uninformed to know their policy and that they would give me a one time only refund of my original amount. What they didn't tell me what that they just gave me a "credit" of my original amount and that was the end. So I am still out the original amount and can't get my money back. This sight is a ripoff. Plain and simple.
Answer: Because of their policy changes which are geared towards the client rather than the freelancer. They have dug their own grave with their policy changes of late.
Answer: Go to Get Paid on PC or Mobile, you will see 3 dots in front of your payment method, tap to select edit/remove to change them. Go to Billing Method on PC under Billing Section and tap three dots to change (edit/remove). Thanks
Answer: Be part and see, dont look at the sold mine reviews people, upwork can bush you to reach.
Answer: I agree with Sam. This place is a scam. They have bad reviews everywhere. Katrina is probably working for them!
