I am an IT engineer with 25 years of experience. I will wait for one more month if they can improve. Otherwise, probably I will move my services due to their poor business conduct and etiquette. Support is worst and rude. I don't want to post this publicly but they have annoyed and disrespected me several times. They have defamed my company name, brand and made a huge loss to my company. They don't know how the IT industry and Software Development work. I am stuck with them because I have sold the services to my customers. I will talk to my customers and soon decide my next plan about moving. I am highly dissatisfied and disappointed with this company. My clients' website updates every few hours, so I take backup and download on local myself as I am the administrator and webmaster of my client's websites and accountable and answerable to my clients. In WordPress and Cpanel you get options to backup your website and database regularly. But this will be not allowed to you to back up your Wordpress and Cpanel. Jetbackup will not allow you to download the backups on your local for security and disaster recovery. Imagine you have a hosted eCommerce website, now on an e-commerce website you will get orders anytime during the day, so you will prefer to have the latest backup for disaster recovery. Many such features are not allowed and it becomes useless to say you purchased unlimited hosting. As soon as your usage reaches around 1 to 5 GB theymay start deleting your files, backups, emails, and anything and everything without telling you. So you will be never able to use and enjoy the unlimited features. They deleted my and my client's files, database, and backups in less than 3 hours without telling me or at least tell me to clean up space or notified me. Don't buy any services from this company, you will be in big trouble. Support is pathetic and disappointing. Their communication skills with clients are very rude and worst they treat you as a slave. Also, If you are not in London and UK then don't order for their hosting, in my support ticket communication, they said they only serve Local London and UK customers as their Network is not feasible for global. But they are continuously advertising their products and services in India. If you are looking for your website to work with high speed, globally from all countries and flawlessly this is not the company to host with. Moreover, these people are not reliable, you can not trust and rely on them that you are safe & secure with them. They haphazardly do and can do anything with your website and account. It may also happen all sudden one day you will see your website down or deleted when you wake up in the morning. Their server configuration is also very low and poor, do not even support 20 concurrent users. CPU will immediately trigger to 80% and RAM 60% with 10 to 15 users. The speed of the hosting is very slow. If you will ping the network it will give request time out and tracert will also not work flawlessly. Message me at any time for a more detailed review.

I signed up for this service, bought a domain name etc. and hosted my photo album with this company. Setting up the photo album was easy as they provide the software and automate the installation. I was happy at this point.

I needed to make some modification so, as is recommended, I backed up the site, and made the changes. I was happy with my work. A few days later I looked back at my site and found it had been blocked. I tried to access my account and it was blocked. I was able to use their support system to ask why and a couple of days later got a reply back to tell me that I had abused their terms of service. I wanted to know what crime I had committed and it turned out that I was using too much space on my unlimited web host. They claim there is no limit but of course it is limited. I do not even mind that they lie about it being limited but that they did not tell me or warn me, just froze the account. Backing up is a normal practice but if you backup your site that doubles the size of the files and the sudden increase triggered the account being frozen, no email or polite mention, just froze the account. This is certainly not a company to trust with a business account.

Let me be clear, I do not mind limits but I do expect communication. They should have emailed me and told me that they did not like the increase but they just froze the account.

Their claim is that I read and agreed to their terms of service...

7.9 Peer-to-peer media (including files) sharing or streaming: You acknowledge that the Services and any Material may not be used for the purpose of peer-to-peer file or media sharing, streaming, BitTorrent, Tor or other similar forms of data transmission.

7.10 Content delivery networks: You acknowledge that the Services and any Material may not be used for the purpose of providing or participating in a content delivery network.

Ben... but like 100% of the public my life is too short to read and understand everything. I am not a file sharer or a datawharehouser, I was just putting up a photo album using the tools they provided. Like most people I made the assumption that given that I used the tools that they provided on their web site to choose and create my web site that I was working within their terms. But they claim...

Unfortunately we have limited control over what is available in the Applications section of Plesk.

We do ask that customers abide by our terms and conditions, which is why ticking that you agree to and have read them is required in order to register a hosting account with us

Luke... I was made to feel like a criminal for using their service as provided. To be fair they did refund the unused part of the agreement but I had to wait before I could transfer the domain names to a more reasonable provider. There are many providers and many are open and upfront about what they offer. 1and1 tell you how much you can increase your usage each month before you trigger a block but as I am only a light user I moved to a provider that only offers a limited size (25gb) but provide a good service.
