I had Florida Bue / Blue care and for years, UHC was my secondary insurance and never paid a dime for my Dexcom and diabetes supplys.
Recently I lost my Florida Blue and tried to get my Dr ordered Dexcom CGM and supplys. United refuses to pay.(There all working from home, dog barking in background) So now I will probabably not be able to control my diabetes efficently and when I end up in the hospital in which case they can pay out the $#*! for that possible hospital bill. This make any sense?
I can assure you I wont pay a dime to the hospital like so many ileagles in the country do everyday... And some folks I prsonally know.
I worked my whole life paid my taxes took care of my family been a good citizen and this is how I am treated by United Dontcare.
UHC paid nothing for my Dibetes supplyy for years, Florda Blue was excellent. Again does this make sense.
Maybe if I am illeagle crossing the border (Oh no hes a conserative white guy) I can get free medical care, a cell phone, free trasportation, and a thousand dollar check and anyone who has a baby here (They all do) is an automatic citizen. Who pays that hospital bill I wonder. Its unacceptable.

I went to my pcp March 25 for a med renewal due to having United instead of my old insurance. It's now April 5th with no communication on approval of a med I've been taking for 2 years? Disgusting insurance, poor communication. You get to speak with people who all they do is transfer you cause they don't have an answer. Don't waste your time or money on UHC. They simply suck. They deserve a no star, but since this site forces you select something they get a 1 star.

I am HIV positive. I take Descovey and tivacay. I have been on these 2 medications for years. I have always had bcbs and have had no problems. My employer has recently obtained United health care, and they are refusing to cover the descovy. I placed my order las week, only to find out they haven't shipped.
After calling united, they informed me they would not cover it because there is a generic. My doctor informed me that was a generic. So this will be day one not taking my medication
There will be consequences when my health stars to decline. I am NOT interested in having a insurance company playing doctor with my help.
My local hospital has these medication, and if I go more that 2 days without my medication I will check myself in to the hospital to receive my medication. This will come as a huge cost to united, but I will do what it takes to get my meds.
You have started a huge battle, and I will not stop.

It's been a year, but my claim was not settled yet. Even after all approvals Payment process is pending.
And I called their service desk 1000 times, still, I get the same answer "Your payment will be processed soon" and even in the email, they will mention the settlement date. But nothing will happen after that.

I got the executive who connects the insurance company and Hospital (Rajesh Kumar R *******640), And whenever I call him he will reply either "I will get back to you in 15 mins" or "your payment will next in a week".

In one sentence - Get your medical insurance here and delete/trash all relevant data.

Absolutely useless
March 16, 2022

A simple visit will cost you a fortune under almost any of their short term plans. They sell it to you as a great option but they pay NOTHING until the deductible. They misled me about the plan to get me to buy it, signed up for a decent plan as they constantly tried to up-sell me, and then have a single simple medical expense that is going to cost me $1000 minimum. And not even all of it goes to the deductible because of how they manipulate the numbers--and they only cover up until $2,000,000 on their very best programs so you're screwed if you have something chronic or have a real colossal catastrophe. Horrifically bad medical insurance and deceptive sales tactics, I regret doing this so much. It's basically only emergency catastrophe medical service, in which you're better off doing another health plan or trying one of the new things like sidecar. And if you ever had a problem, their customer service is downright incompetent. DO NOT GET UNITED SHORT TERM.

I live in Fort Worth, the closet in network ER/Hospital is in Houston per the rep on the phone. However their online provider list states several in my area. The rep said we could go to any emergency room and we would be covered. Well... my daughter did that and her claims are being denied. She needed an orthopedic surgeon and non of the providers on the UH list were taking the insurance anymore. A phone rep called around for us and found a provider and made the appointment for us. Now the claim is being denied for out of network. We called back and they said they have no record of a rep making the appointment or referring us to that doctor. I was at my GP's office last week and asked for a referral to an OBGYN, they said they would not refer for my insurance because they can never find anyone on the plan and that I would have to find a provider myself. This honestly is the worst insurance ever.

Had Blue Cross Blue Shield for years, never a problems getting things covered. My company "decided" to drop Blue Cross Blue Shield to contract with this a-hole of a company. Anyway, I personally have a serious condition that needs to be addressed via operation. My provider has submitted not one but 3 times now each being DENIED. First denial was "we don't cover that type of procedure" ok fine. The provider puts in another submission this time it's "oh the provider didn't send us everything needed". Again, ok, contact provider and their puzzled because they in fact sent everything to them so they tried again. Third time is a charm right? WRONG they denied again because guess what they don't cover any kind of procedure concerning my condition. I took upon myself to look it up and sent them their OWN policy SHOWING it's covered and to show where it's not. Haven't heard back since. I'll be dropping this sham of a insurance provider that the company I work for decided to contract with and didn't ok it with their employees. All money no coverage…. AVOID THEM LIKE THE PLAGUE!

The amount of junk mail is staggering. Almost every single day for the past year I've received junk mail for Medicare. I have called them numerous to be taken off their mailing list. I am a veteran so fully taken care of by the VA for medical, vision, and dental. One of the sales people who told me her husband and father are veterans and she wasn't aware of the program that covers veterans. She transferred me to another dept where the person was argumentative when I asked to speak to a supervisor, put me on hold for 13 minutes then disconnected the call. I called back and was transferred to AARP. Just from this experience I would not do business with them even if I needed insurance.

On day 19 of 100 possible Medicare rehab days, UH began forcing cognitivally challenged man out of successful rehab and into long term care/warehousing him. He had lived in the community his entire life and had prior full physical independence. He was improving greatly with guided rehab. Rather than help him fully recover with more Medicare days and return home, they are forcing him into residential where he will only receive bare minimum exercise, and decline further. They will make a profit by doing this, and the govt. Will have to pickup the tab for 30+ years? Great plan. He is only 62 and in otherwise excellent health. Was bedridden for 8 weeks due to illness/injury and they expected him to be fine at day 19 or "lets just warehouse the mentally handicapped man." Never could get a straight answer on why. Their attitude was "we don't care." DD discrimination. Treat everyone the same---all for their profit. Shame on you for treating a vulnerable adult this way. Dispicable.

This is the 3rd time since 7/24/2020 I have had to call and "update" my mothers address from where she has moved July of 2020 from Co. To TN. Tonight I was transfered by three people Michelle in Idaho to Billy in Sales to Aaron in the I don't want to listen que. What a bunch of VIP Village Idiot People! Now because United Heath Care is unable to do their job and update their customers addresses we are stuck with unpaid medical bills. "WE CAN UPDATE THE ADDRESS BUT IT WILL BE EFFECTIVE AS OF TODAYS DATE" What about the two other times you have "updated" the same address. What about reviewing your notes in the system and making it retro active to the original date 7/24/20 we changed the address. The address is in your system because we are getting mail at the correct address. Maybe United Healthcare should retrain their employees on how to do their jobs correctly the first time. I pray that you get the same treatment when you are needing someone to do their job! Michelle, Billy and Aaron you should be paying Unicare back, you accepting your paycheck is theft when you can't even do your job!

United / All Savers.

Recently changed my job and ended up with United. So far it has been a nightmare! They have rejected my medication coverage which I am taking for the past 5 years. Now they have rejected to cover the eye examination of my daughter. They are horrible! I am looking for a new job so to get out of this horrible coverage. If you have a choice STAY AWAY from United PERIOD!

I called United before a big procedure, knowing my company was about to switch insurance carriers... I could have waited for this procedure until the new ins. Was in place due to the high deductibles... They told me on a few different occasions prior to and after the procedure, that my deductible was met and I could go on with the it 100% covered. Now that I've received a $2088. 00 bill, their reply was that this procedure exhausted the deductible and that going forward everything would be covered... This is not the way it was explained to me when I called to verify. I do not recommend using United if you have a chance to go elsewhere... As I see from other reviews, I am not the only person they have lied to. Its hard enough to afford insurance let alone be lied to by the company we should be trusting to answer our medical questions correctly and caring about our well being. We are 100% just a number to these big companies that we over pay every month.

United changed OTC providers for 2022. Unlike the 2019 change which went relatively smoothly, this has locked users out for a week. United Customer Service either hangs up on you, sends you back to the auto attendant who hangs up on you or they claim its not their problem and to call the new service for which they supply you the wrong phone number. If you are fortunate to get a phone number for 1st Line, they claim its noy their problem but if you go to ANOTHER website you can log in. I did try the new site and was greeted with the error that my info was incorrect. I tried to create a new login and got an error because "account already exists". This is NOT ROCKET SCIENCE. FIRE the imbecile that didn't bother to test the software upgrade because he/she/they/it has caused a week of frustrated consumers that would like to see her/him/them incarcerated as a domestic terrorist. Also, TRAIN YOUR CUSTOMER TEAM to actually provide customer service or fire them and hire intelligent beings.

My OTC free $50 quarterly order no longer works so I called United Health care customer service. They told me that changed vendors and I had to call *******490 and speak to them. As usual, I was given the wrong number by "Will" and finally found out what number to call. I have now been on hold for 20 minutes and wondering why I renewed with the United Health Care clown act. They suck.

Cancellation of services
December 16, 2021

I had 2 Polices, Thought when I canceled them, it was for both. To my surprise I did not or they didn't. But they won't refund my money even that it is clear I was canceling. Seems misleading in the possess they have. Of course I could write them and mail it to have it looked at further. Waste of time

They said I had to see a certain doctor two months in find out that the doctor wasn't even a primary care doctor. They then tried to get me a doctor telling them I needed a prior authorization and I hadn't even seen this doctor yet. They told united until I was seen I couldn't get a prior or even a script. Life saving med and they refuse to cover it 2 hours on phone she made me gaurentee they could reach me sat morning 10am and never called. I told her I needed med immediately I was out and they could cover it until I got a doctor since it was there screw up. 3 days later I'm still waiting. Worst uncaring people I have ever seen. I'll b changing if your smart you will too. Hopefully you never chose them to begin with
