One way rental for 19.99 drove 289 miles and was charged 701.13 this is just crazy. I always have used uhaul and have never git taken for money like i did this time will never use them again!
I rent one trailer and this company charge me the deposit, I will return the trailer have one week. And any notice about my money. The chat doesn't work, call you need pass the day waiting to answer. ( probably a lot complains) horrible service. I don't recommend.
Well. What can go wrong with this $#*!ty U-Haul company again? First, I made the reservation for a truck 3 months before I needed it. When I got there, there was no truck for me. Second the guy tells me they have a bigger truck that they can give me. I said, for the same price, right? He said no. Not only that but the mileage per mile was also more. I said you must be kidding... He wasn't. He then proceeded to tell me I have a moral choice to make. Go somewhere else or take a truck from someone else who has booked it already. WTF kind of service is that. Unfortunately, I had NO choice as I was on a time crunch for the truck so not only did U-Haul $#*! me but also the poor SOB that was also now without a truck.
This is my second $#*! experience with U-Haul in 3 months. The last time I had a truck reserved at a different location and when I got there, they said my truck was at a different site and I had to go there to pick it up. When I got there was no one there to help at the office as it wasn't open. Not only that but due to the distance it was going to cost me many more miles which would end up costing me more money. When I messaged the company for a refund due to their mistake, they flat out told me no.
Anyone that needs to rent a truck I would HIGHLY recommend looking elsewhere for a rental. Either that or plan an extra 4-5 hours to get a truck and plan on spending about 1/3 moore than they tell you.
They changed three times my location. Even that date I supposed that I will have the truck in a location, however it wasn't. Then in the new location for the fast decreased from 3/4 to 1/2 I was charge with 85 dollars. I thought this company will be more professional. I was wrong
We rented a Uhaul and planned on using our family and friends to do the move for us. Have a few failed attempts at moving 2 pieces lol... We desperately searched for a local mover to provide us with labor considering we already had the Uhaul truck. The first company we found online was Old Fashion Moving & Storage. After speaking with Jonathan he explained exactly how they would wrap our furniture & pack our truck for us. I regretted not calling them sooner considering they were going to be more cost effective than me even renting the Uhaul in the first place. Not only was my family in awe how effortlessly they moved everything in our home, but they also offered to drive our truck down to D. C from Connecticut. I cannot say enough great things about Old Fashion Moving & Storage and the customer service that Jonathan provided. We are set on moving for awhile lol but in the case any my family in Connecticut needs to move I already know who to refer (also if theyre interested in moving us down to Florida in 3 years we would absolutely use them again!) Anyways 5 star service from this (Jonathan, Ricky & Matt). I felt obligated leaving this review after the move considering how much stress it took off of us. How long I have waited for the day to write this review. I just used UHaul pods to facilitate my cross-country move from NJ to Los Angeles.
First, UHaul charged me the full amount ($2700+) when they were only supposed to charge me a pickup fee (about $400). They then sent me multiple emails that's I would be charged another $2300 a few weeks later, which meant I had to speak with their *very inspiring* support staff multiple times to clear this up. UHaul then added reservations to my account multiple times that I had nothing to do with, again emailing me that I was responsible for the charges. This meant more time on the phone with UHaul's customer service team, which mostly consists of inbred muts. And now, the granddaddy of them all.
We scheduled our UHaul pods to delivery for Friday, September 23, the day we got into town. My work began Monday, September 26. On my ride from the airport to my empty apartment, Uhaul calls me to inform me that "the driver is unavailable until Monday" and therefore I will not receive my belongings until Monday, September 26, at the earliest. However, the imbecilic UHaul rep was careful to provide that Monday would be the earliest date possible for delivery, and Tuesday, September 27, was a very real possibility. The UHaul rep was smug, disrespectful, and incompetent. It was the worst interaction I've ever had with an individual I gave any amount of money to.
Luckily, we hired movers. For a small additional fee our movers agreed to pick up our pods from the UHaul facility and deliver them to us, unpack, and move us into our apartment. UHaul is dirty. UHaul is like the Demogorgon to your stress-free move but they dress like Hopper.
I look forward to spending the remainder of my days sharing my experience with every individual who could ever hypothetically needing moving services.

Mickey LaHaye was extremely helpful with the whole process from Start to finish. I would also like to thank the installer Jeremy Jackson for his great work installing the hitch and Saris superclamp ex2. Germany cars are tricky to deal with when installing a hitch. They completed the job in a timely manner. I would highly recommend uhaul to others.

I mistakenly made a "reservation" for a moving truck on the U-Haul app. Only to find out when I was going to go get the truck it hadn't been a reservation but a "reservation request" per U-Haul Customer Service on the 800 number. The customer service person was rude and spoke to me as if I was stupid and then when I got upset hung up on me! I tried calling back, everytime my call was connecting to Customer Service it was like it was rejected and sent back into the queue. I waited for over 20 minutes and that happened 4 times where my call was being connected and then sent back into the queue. I called back 6 hours later and someone answered right away. I explained everything, was put on hold, then the person came back on and asked what I expected them to do. I said I wasn't sure and asked if they were willing to do anything and she said, "I'm very sorry that happened to you."
That was it. End of conversation. So, in the future I will be calling the rental place directly and working only with the local people. Hopefully this way I'm able to accomplish what I want.
Doesn't matter what I say, nothing got done. Went online to make a reservation on 08/18/2022 for a hitch and the day was 08/27/2022. I was called on 08/26/2022 that it was not in yet. I don't think it was even ordered. But that was ok, I was told that they are getting a big shipment on the Tuesday after so I called on Wednesday same answer that it was not in. Then again they said that Saturday getting another shipment so I called that Saturday and again I was told that they will call me, no call back again. Now we are 09/08/2022 and now I cancelled my order to get my money back. I'm not mad I'm just disappointed that no one at uhaul kept their promise.
There isn't any better than Chad's Auto Service in Pittsburg, KS. I've been using them for quite a while and don't do anywhere else for U-Haul rental. 5 stars!
Don't bother to apply if you are a smoker or use any tobacco products.
They advise you to contact the American Cancer Society and The American Lung Association to quit and when you smoker free you can reply.

Sends me to another place every time you go to a new place you have to go on there website and put all the info in again finally after driving all over at Pete we finally get a u haul at 3:30 pm not to mention the numerous phone calls and was in the phone at least 3 hours. I would never use them again. However the drop off in Inverness was very easy and quick yay way to go Inverness. I can't even rate them a zero there that bad I also put in a complaint and was told some one will get back to me in 24 to 48 hours nope not at all then spoke to another person and she told me 5 to 7 business days what are

I was sold storage space in U-Haul downtown Miami 1000 NE 10 street as a 5 x 5 x 10 for $74.00/month and it turned out to be an upper locker space measuring more like 4x 4 x 10. Forget climate control, it doesn't exist unless heat qualifies. When opening the locker door you are greeted by a large plastic container mouse trap. The smell is quite alive! Moved out after two weeks to another company which has true climate control and VERY clean storage.
Purchased a trailer hitch on-line / with installation included. Made an appointment at a convenent time and date of my choosing for install. Upon arriving was met by polite employee. Clean waiting area. Install was very quick and professional. This is how a good business should be run. Thank you.
If you are looking to move DO NOT and I repeat DO NOT use uhaul! I have booked a uhaul 3 times with them and each time I have rented a 26 footer, and each time I did not get what I asked for. First time I was given a 15 foot and a trailer the second time I was given a 10 foot and this time they gave me nothing and I have had this uhaul booked for a month now. It's now moving day and now I'm left stuck due to these idiots. I have no idea how these guys are still in business. Oh let me just add that we are a family of 7. Ugh these guys piss me off!
We reserved a 26' truck for August 31st. We were called the day before the pick-up date (today) and told our truck wouldn't be available until Friday, September 2nd - although that wasn't guaranteed. I was told on the phone that the fine print says you make a reservation but it is based on availability... and for long-distance moves, they can't really provide any accuracy on when/if a truck is available. If I had known this I would have hired professional movers a long time ago - but now we are scrambling to move our stuff out of our rental on the last day of the month. We have made ferry reservations, hotel reservations, and cancelled our hydro, etc., so we hope another local company can help. I would not recommend uhaul for long-distance moves as you are not guaranteed the truck you reserve online or over the phone.
Unfortunately, we went to pick up a U-HAUL in Thornhill to go one way to Hamilton and the pick-up location had been switched. We were not sufficiently told that the location has been changed. The new location was 30 km away and we were on bikes (unable to get there). We spent an hour and a half on the phone in the rain where many of the calls were dropped. We are very disappointed with U-HAULS online booking system, phone line/customer service and unclear communication.
Reserved a auto transport for a location close to our address sent me clear to the west side of indy to pick it up when they had two on the lot I could take then reserved another one In Tennessee close to we was staying then got a text wanting us to go two hours south in Tennessee out of our way to come back to Indiana then they finally called us back and said they had one at the location I reserved it at there close to we was staying
We were in contact with the local branch weekly. They call us or we call rhem to see if we could extend the rental because of an emergency. Each week the branch said it was ok. Then I notice my card was charged double what it was supposed to be. I called, the corporate lady said they tried to call but couldn't reach us ( weird because the branch was able to. Plus our number, email, and mailing address was on their form) and that they needed the rental back and since they failed in attempting to reach us, they considered in stolen. They wouldn't help with an appeal, said it had to be paid and then I had to file an appeal. It's ridiculous to get them on the phone and the chat keeps exiting. So unhelpful. I'm not sure how they are still in business. Oh, they rip people off. That's how.

Answer: From my experience I've noticed uhaul only allows you to review the pickup and dropped location and generally where I am at least, those folks are great and helpful. The huge conglomerate running the show is at fault but there seems to be no way to easily review them specifically. They screwed me too and I wondered the same. Maybe some folks had a positive experience but I believe you are correct. Negative reviews are definitely being screened out. Sorry you had a crappy move too.
Answer: I did a complaint online and then called but with the same result, they couldn't find me in their system. I need to wait 24 to 72 hours for the manager to investigate.
