Surprise Booking fees

Took Uber from home to BWI airport. Surprised when I saw a charge of $10 for booking fee. Have not paid this before despite having a minimum of 30 trips last year, and three this year. Uber has found a new way to price gouge their customers. The varying rates for trips to & from home & BWI Airport are staggering. They range from anywhere from $72 to $134. I live approximately 28 miles from the airport, which normally is a 40-min ride. Sometimes a taxi from BWI after 9 pm is $99, & Uber is $134. Guess which one I take. Drivers frequently complain as well at how little they get to keep in comparison to what Uber keeps. Keep it up Uber. There are numerous other ways to get to & from locales.

I was driving Uber since 7 years a lady file a false complaint about me that she had a service animal and I refuse to give her ride because of service animal. I know all the guidelines and everything I didn't say anything like this although she didn't tell me she had service animal. She requested a regular uber not a Uber pet so when I went to pick her up I saw 2 dogs and I asked her you didn't request Uber pet and she didn't say anything at that time she just said never mind so how would I know she had service animal I am an old guy I have to feed my family I have kids and Uber customer service is sucks they are rude not listening to me what should I do they deactivated my account for rest of my life I need my account back. Custumers is not always right.

If you add funds to your cash balance, they still charge your card for the full amount. If they can't charge your card, you can't use your cash balance. I had them refund my cash balance. If you use PayPal, you only get charged once, unlike with debit/credit cards, where you get charged twice and it's above the amount for your order/ride.

Pittsburgh Steelers

Great driver, and a smooth amazing ride to start. The driver told me that she had a special place in her heart for hating the Pittsburgh Steelers. Which…tbh I totally get…but she's a Detroit fan. Would of given 5 starts if she was a fan of any other team. But Detroit? The lady was clearly not fit to drive. I want my money back

Hello Mr. Ronald with the Gray Toyota Corolla RPX771. It's nice to know that you're too slow to know that you pulled up to the wrong building and didn't bother to inform anyone which building you were at. But you did have the nerve to cancel the ride for your mess up. But it's typical of a lazy driver who doesn't want to do their job. Funny how that works, if you don't like your job and you can't do it correctly then find a different job.

My driver Daniel almost got us killed. Long story short... I was wearing a mask and that made him very angry. He started yelling about that, he continued to yell about politics and how CNN was the devil. He picked me up at the ER after being sent straight there from my doctor with a blood pressure of 218 over 109. Needless to say when i finally got back home i was right back where i started before the doctors did everything they could to make me comfortable and get it down enough so i could return home. Beware of using Uber.

Uber is a great option for ordering food and getting to your destinations. The problem is they leave it and option as to what orders they want to take and ones they choose otherwise. Why give the people the option, when your not going to fulfill the request. It doesn't make sense, if it's an option it should be mentioned before anyone places an order. Double check your orders, because mishaps seem to also be common.

I keep going back to ordering Uber rides but I finally decided to give up after multiple disappointments caused by their drivers.
1. I oder a ride, the driver does not show after several minutes of waiting and he still charges me a " cancellation fee".
2. A driver cancels my ordered ride with no reason and Uber charges me a cancellation fee.
3. Another time, I ordered a ride that said it is 3 minutes away and upon confirming the ride the app shows that the driver is more than 15 minutes away, I then immediately cancelled the ride within less than 30 seconds and I was still charged a $5.75 cancellation fee. I didn't dispute it but I believe is pure dishonesty when misleading information is used ti take advantage of the client.

I have been using Uber for many years and usually give them a good review. Unfortunately, 2 of the last 3 rides were not pleasant experiences. My issue is that you can't find where you can communicate with Uber when a negative situation occurs. The last experience I had was that the driver (Ahmed) decided to not pick me up, two minutes upon arrival to do so. I had been waiting for 25 minutes and had to wait for another Uber driver. Consequently, I was 15 minutes late to my appointment. When I finally arrived with the 2nd Uber driver, I was not able to go back to the previous driver and let him know how upset I was.
It was a very frustrating experience..

While this company has a crap ton of flaws, the MAIN thing that rubs me the wrong way is the complete lack of efficiency and punctuality. It is completely unacceptable that I order my rides minutes ahead of schedule, and 85% of the time, the drivers themselves are like 20-30 minutes away from the pick up zone. If someone is trying to get a ride right then and there, they shouldn't have to wait half an hour for the driver to finally show up. 5 to 10 minutes at the very least. I've been late to work multiple times because of how far away these drivers are. Another main issue is the constant cancellations from drivers. They happen so often, you'd think that the drivers have a personal vendetta against you. If you can't hire drivers who can meet expectations at a consistent rate, don't hire them at all. Just this morning, I set up a ride to arrive at 4:30, only to get immediately canceled. Another driver was set for me, only for me to track the vehicle minutes later and see that the guy still hasn't even MOVED from his starting point. I had to cancel and look for a THIRD driver in the span of 30-40 minutes. I'm usually a very reserved and chilled person, but constantly getting chewed out by my boss for being tardy when it wasn't even my fault can be extremely aggravating. It's baffling how a company with an extremely high platform and reputation can be so awful at the same time.

Uber Deactivation
February 17, 2022

My account has been deactivated for over a year now due to some background check issue. Had an issue with DMV but it's been sorted out but I still got deactivated. Their customer service will not even respond to my complaints so I had to leave for a while. Recently I came across a group of programmers named cyberianx on telegram and they helped me reactivate my account after I explained my situation to them. Anyone encountering this same issue should report the case to them. I can't thank them enough for their assistance.

Uber driver was at the destination for 1min and didn't give me and my husband time to get out there and left and the other Uber driver was on the way and he canceled the ride so I got 50$ taken from me I will never use Uber again

I stupidly hired Uber.
I was asked by the driver if I had gotten a vaccine, and when I got online to complain there was just preset options that didn't allow me to state my complaint in my own words.
One option was actually if the driver himself wearing a MASK, with no option to complain about ME, the customer being required to wear one of those filthy, disease spreading things at the risque of my own family getting sick from the coronavirus!
More over, what if I had got robbed or raped? How would I file a complaint besides hiring an expensive lawyer I can't afford?
Uber is a recipe for robbery and rape.

I haven't used my account in 4 months and today I get a complaint filed against me by a driver. I assumed it was an error and now I can't get anyone to help. Took forever to find a number that is answered and it was awful to deal with. They have hung up on me, claimed that they can't get me to a supervisor and refused to help. A contact from someone would be awesome!

Never use this platform, run a mile, they are just thieves. They always charge you and never make compensation, I have never come across such a 'big' company with such terrible customer service.

Every time I request a ride from ******* on Saturday afternoons, drivers cancel but blame me and I get charged 7.00, besides which I now have to request and wait for a second driver. Sick of it.

Uber drivers are somehow confused about my address when all the buildings in my area are clearly marked... the I'm charged for cancellation because the driver failed to locate my address... utterly ridiculous
