Tried several tutors on this site. In all fairness, Tutorhunt provided new contact details when I informed them tutors were unable to teach WJEC updated GCSE examinations. My family can deal with odd. The inability to tutor subjects we paid for are a no, no. Tutors turn up without having researched or updated their skills for the examination board students are studying. Complete waste of everyone's time and parents money.

This site is horrible!
I've received replies from tutors after few hours. Even if tutor replied to me earlier. The cost of details are expensive. I paid for tutor details £21,60 and there was no contact. I think I will claim my money back...
I will not recommend it is not worth money!

I was told by my daughter's teacher that she was having trouble in a couple of subjects. I asked if there was any way the teacher could make more time for her. No help there - not her fault I suppose, what with jam packed classrooms. Well I Knew I needed some extra help for my daughter, so tuition was the obvious choice. I tried a few other sites, but wasn't too impressed. Tutorhunt were very good. I found a tutor for my daughter quickly, and now she's much happier - her grades have really improved. As a mother you obviously want the best for you child. I would recommend tutorhunt to any parent who's concerned about their child's schooling.

I was wary about looking for a tutor online, but i'm so glad I did. My daughter is doing better at school now. Couldn't be happier with tutorhunt. You don't even have to pay to talk to as many tutors as you like - I tried other sites, and they charged to sign up. Anyway I'm just a mum who wants the best for my daughter. This site really helped.

I had been wanting to learn the guitar for years. Someone told me about this site, and I used it to find a guitar teacher. I'm so glad I did. Esteban is an excellent teacher. I'm no Jimi Hendrix yet, but give me time!

Easily found a tutor for my child - they have so many. It was easy to search, and helpful to talk to as many as I wanted. This let me find the right one. I think tutors are better than schoolteachers! One on one, vs a noisy class of 30. I don't think any other site has so many tutors - I tried another but it said there were none nearby, then I tried Tutor hunt and there were many to choose from very close to us. My son got an A* thanks to his excellent tutoring.

With everyone else's kids getting tutors I felt mine needed them just to get a fair deal! I tried a lot of the other sites, but this one was by far the best. Great selection - you can message the tutor as much as you like before you meet them. Just one tutor was able to teach both of my children, as they were offering both Physics and chemistry.

I needed to find a tutor for my son, who is currently struggling with his GCSE maths. After signing up I found someone on the site who was very close by. This tutor was really excellent, and explained things to my son in a way that made things clear. I've since found two other tutors on tutorhunt - one A level teacher for my eldest daughter, and a German teacher for my other son. Really happy with the results.

We used this site to find a science tutor for our son about a year ago, we found Neil to be extremely helpful and he now tutors younger son too! We are now "hunting" again to find an English tutor.

This site is a con as the tutor we contacted not only took our money, failed to provide our child with the required assistance, kept cutting him off when he contacted him and there was no one to turn to for assistance as the provided just rings out. What a waste of time and money and our child has been left out of pocket and very stressed as he failed his course as a result.

Beware of this site
February 27, 2013

Beware of this site.

The site does not have proper protection against bad tutors that do not know what they are talking about. The tutors can promise you everything in the world and once you buy there details tutor hunt get there money and the tutors have no repercussions of not teaching you even throw they said they knew what you wanted to learn.

Tutor hunts customer service is slow and unresponsive.

Last month I found 3 tutors from this site, however one was unresponsive, so I contacted support and was offered another tutors details instead or a refund. After changing one tutor, i've found all 3 to be excellent. My only complaint was no discount was offered on multiple purchases. I'm unsure why as I can't be the only one seeking more than one tutor.

I've found quite a few pupils through tutor hunt, they are fairly good but are too limited in the amount of people you contact.

This site will take your money to release the details of supposed 'tutors' who will, in turn, fail to provide you or your child with any of the agreed tutoring (although they might turn up for the first session and the first 30 quid) and then disappear off into the sunset. Following this, Tutorhunt will steadfastly ignore any of your attempts to communicate with them. Proceed with extreme caution... better still, don't proceed at all.
