As with most good things in life - 'you get back from life what you put in to it' - and this is very true of OUR experience with 'Trusted Housesitters'. Every house-sit, from our first in Sandy, OR 2-1/2 years ago to the latest one last week in Victoria, BC, has been a delight. We have had multiple call-back sits with four of our TH house-sits, each of which have resulted in exciting new friendships.

You have pretty much nailed this niche market. When people hear what we're doing, their jaws drop, and then we tell them how to join... must have told a couple of dozen people already.

Would like you to add a link to the top of the page so I can get in to it right away and search. Right now, I go to Google, and input trustedhousesitters.com so I can start looking. Seems like you have no links in your email.

Also, would save tons of time if, when I use my filters to focus on, say, Oregon, the brand new ones are all at the top, so I don't have to go through every, single listing all over again.

I wasnt sure what to expect when I first joined. Very quickly over a period of 4-6 months and especially when I started sitting, all my concerns and hesitations were put to rest. I find Trusted HouseSitters an incredibly organised and forward thinking organisation, very methodical and efficient in achieving their objectives in the interest of their members on any side of the fence, homeowners, pet owners, house and/or pet sitters... and it includes the precious non paying members the pets themselves.

Im still new at this but in all 3 back to back sits, Ive met some of the most incredible people. Not just the members themselves but their circle of friends. Im beginning to think it cant possibly be a coincidence 3 times in a row. Im not sure if its the like minded age group, the common thread of loving animals and travel that seem to unite us but in all instances the willingness to jump in to help and the genuine warmth and friendship that Ive experienced each and every time is just amazing.

Unlike other internet platforms, theres nothing trivial about the intent of this platform. It helps period. From a personal perspective it doesnt make me feel written off just because Im no longer working. Quite the contrary - it allows me to continue doing what Ive always loved - travelling and meeting people in a home setting in the company of animals I adore. It doesnt get better than this.

I highly recommend Trusted HouseSitters to anyone of any age.

I have been a member for four years and during that time I have had some wonderful assignments. We spent three months in Botswana looking after a bush camp; seven weeks in Mauritius caring for three cats and seven weeks in Cairns, Australia caring for a Husky and we have had many more exciting sits. I would highly recommend this site to anyone wanting to travel the world, enjoy the company of some wonderful animals and meet some interesting people. We are really addicted to this way of life and hope for many more sits in the future through TrustedHousesitters.

I have secured 3 different house sit via Trusted House Sitters and all experience as have been wonderful and unique. I have thoroughly enjoyed the pets, the outstanding houses, the people I have met and the places that the sits have taken me. It has been an ideal way for me to travel, make new friends and gives the owners their much anticipated holidays. The site is not too difficult to manage.
All in all I would definitely recommend Trusted House Sitters - which I have already done!
