Worst handling ever, full of excuse why they are taking forever to ship out my order. Yeah we are in a pandemic, but it is still no excuse why it's taking almost to weeks to ship. I made order on May 10, they said it would originally take 1-2 day to ship, but due to covid restrictions it will take 3-5. But it's May 18 and they still haven't shipped. They offered to refund me, but is the easy way out. I want my $#*!, I asked if they can expedite my order and they made some lame excuses on how they can't. Dude foreal that's so lazy, I really think they are taking advantage of this pandemic too do less work.

I've been ordering for a long time and everything was okay. Then 4 orders haven't arrive and when I wrote to them about this I received this message:
"Due to the orders not arriving we cannot ship to you using the Economy services and we are sorry for this disappointment. Future orders that are placed with this method will be canceled and tracking and insurance are required for reimbursement. We do understand that this may upset you and we are sorry for this. We appreciate each of our customers and do want to make sure their orders arrive to them."

And then this one:
"We are sorry you feel this way as we only want to make sure you receive future orders and in the event that an order is lost, it is eligible for a refund. We are just letting you know that we cannot continue to ship orders that do not arrive as we are losing both product and then and additional refund"

They are treating me like it's my fault the packages haven't arrive. Customers should not be forced to pay extra for tracked shipping no matter what happens (and it's a crazy amount of money). If this is their attitude, they definitely lost me a customer.

Would wholly recommend NOT going through Troll and Toad (Kentucky) if you are looking for someone to buylist your cards. UNLESS YOU LIVE IN THE AREA. DO NOT. DO NOT. DO NOT. If they think they can they will con you the first chance they get and lie through their teeth about it. I have had three packages I have sent them over the last couple years to be buylisted. The first two orders (orders# ******* and #*******. Sent around Nov-Dec 2018) consisted of many (order ******* was all) holographic 1st edition Pokemon cards. Which they still tried to play games with me on, but I had some real hard evidence (and they had less money I would assume) but they got a very good deal no matter how they tried to cover it. I recently (nov-dec 2019) tried to send another order which did not have a bunch of shiny beautiful cards in it and oh boy, was it a different story. Not only did they offer me an amount that barely covered the shipping they purposefully took my cards (wait for it. Only the real valuable ones) which I explicitly told them not to keep and sent the rest back (I wanted my whole order sent back because they are swindling pieces of $#*! and I don't want them to have any of my cards). I am a hard man to con and long term I will be fine, but these guys are not whole people and I recommend to most of you (especially young aspiring collectors) to avoid going through them because I don't want you to go through the same. Troll and toad is the worst buylist website on the entire internet.

In case you don't know what a buylist is, it is a way for the consumer to send collectable trading cards to a company. The buylist is exactly how much the company will pay for each card.

The process is you submit your cards and ship them to the company. The company grades the card and pays you in cash or credit.

Currently in the market there are over 10 companies that have large buy lists.

Troll and toad is the worst for a variety of reasons.

1. They take a over a month to process your cards after recieved. Typical time period is 1-2 days.
2. They grade cards at significantly worse condition then they were sent in. They are the only buylist on the internet with a quick pay option to accept all condition grades they give to get paid faster. This is essentially a license to steal from the consumer.
3. Cards they don't accept are shipped haphazardly and often damaged.
4. It can take an additional month to get paid after, if they do pay you. You are going to have to harass the hell out of them to get paid. They figure the people that walk away is their gain.
5. Elusive and impossible to contact. They never return emails promptly and customer service is 100% the most unhelpful of all buylists.

This card fraud company puts a stain on Kentucky.

I ordered from troll and toad hearing some nice things about them, however the 1 star review does not look so good, guess i missed it before i made a large order. It was a large order (100$+). 20-25 business they say, i live in europe, aight. 23 Business days pass, i message them, they tell me its on his way, sweet. 30 Days pass, they tell me to wait until 40 AND IF IT DOES NOT COME THEY WILL ISSUE A FULL REFUND (all of this is in emails). 41 Days pass, i contact them on email to refund me. THEY SAY NO WE WONT REFUND U, GET IN TACT WITH YOUR LOCAL DELIEVERY SERVICE. Now, they never provided me with the tracking number, i begged them numerous times and they told me they wont provide it to me, finally they provided me with a number (this was about 20 days in to the thing), and it said. Package delievered in NY (or something in the us). I live in $#*!ing europe, what the $#*!.

When i contacted them about this, they told me that that is indeed my trackign number.

Trollandtoad refused to provide the refund they promised after 40 days of not delievering, telling me to go to my local postal office, and they refuse to provide me with a tracking number.

What. The $#*!

Traded them a good bit of games, got my estimated value and sent them the games the next day.

A week later after they receive them, proceed to tell me my games are damaged and offers half of original amount.

Sent in another order to see if they would say the same thing. Sure enough they tell me me this order is damaged also and offer half of what they initially said.

To anyone thinking of selling to them, please don't. They will RIP you off.

One word describes these people, Lazy. They don't get back to you with your order, they work banker hours so good luck reaching them if you have a 9-5 Monday to Friday job since they are off anytime after 5 and before 8 also off on weekends. Also, they have limited workers handling your cards as well. If anyone sees this post take some advice from me and never sell your cards to this company. My cards were in a binder never touched by hands for years and they have the nerve to tell me they are "less than near mint condition" no creases no folds no marks on any of the cards no loss in color ECT. I also spent hours of my time sorting these cards and printed a list for them as they instructed but it seems I have cards missing or wrong edition. I know the difference between my unlimited charizard and an limited one which I didn't have I'm not new to the Pokemon tcg. These are scammers and fools who only want to rip you off don't trust these guys with you cards!

We had an extremely bad experience with these folks. We placed an order for several Pokemon boxes. Opening a total of 27 booster packs resulted in not one single holo card (and I do not mean ultra rares, but rather not even a regular rare). This is almost impossible to happen by chance. Upon investigating the boxes, they had extra glue on the flaps, which looked different from the glue the Pokemon company uses - quite likely that these folks tamper with the boxes.

I was the fool who sold his original Pokemon at garage sales for literally pennies. Now that I have kids, trading cards games have become a big part of our family. I find myself looking to re purchase all the rare cards I used to have, and to purchase new boosters from troll and toad. Generally, they are pretty competitive price wise, but other sites sometimes beat them out. But hey, would you rather spend a dollar less and have practically no customer support? Or a dollar more and have a dedicated support team who cares? I prefer the latter. My favorite place for MTG and Pokemon.
