I have used Trip Advisor for years to find out about hotels before booking them. I never book through Trip Advisor. A hotel's own web site is usually cheaper. However, some hoteliers put fake reviews on, either criticising their rivals or talking their establishments up. Make sure there are plenty of other reviews so that you can make sure that the effect of fake reviews is cancelled out. Also they have an annoying habit of opening pop-under boxes whenever I look at their site. That's why I've only given them four stars.
Booked a hotel, received a confirmation on Booking.com thru TA, arrived at the hotel, NO RESERVATION! Called the service line, zero help and rude. Sitting in a smaller room at a higher price DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE, EVER!
They offer owners a "Free" listing, then cannot sync with VRBO and do have charges of $200 for cancellations.
Run like hell if you get a call from anyone w an Indian accent making promises.
They do have charges and lie to you!
It's good that I can have great dating ideas.
Perfect cause I can save time and money by not spending it in disgusting places.
I enjoy reading up on this site before taking a trip anywhere. My main issue is the things posted are usually one-sided and hard to put in perspective. Still, a one-sided look through the glass is better than none.
In December, I used TripAdvisor to arrange flights for a trip in April. The company has turned out to be a total nightmare- bait and switch with my arrangements - my flight plans were totally rearranged by the company TripAdvisor recommended- What a nightmare- Trip Advisor is apparently becoming too greedy and doesn't really give a rats behind about what happens to the customers who use their site
I always check for different restaurants in the area I am visiting. Never been disappointed with the advice
I am following a lot of advisors on the internet about trips. I must say this one is far the best, a lot of details.
I look at this site all the time and thought it had a good reputation. I have been booking lodging for 50+ years and never had an issue on any internet site. I booked two separate reservations for consecutive nights in late May at the same lodging place ( decided to book a second night after I had already booked one) a week ago and got a confirmation for both saying "your room is confirmed" along with a voucher for each night. A week later, I got a call and an email from someone who could barely write or speak English telling me that "the hotel had confirmed both reservations and then just now cancelled both due to giving the rooms to someone else and there is no more availability now." I called the lodging directly and they stated they never had a reservation for either of those days with my name on & I would have to deal with whomever I booked it through. So, I called trip advisor directly as per their email and because that is who I booked the reservations through. I was told by them " we use third party people and just let them use our site." I did not book through another party, who turned out to be a "foreign entity," I booked through trip advisor and expect them to assure what is being done on their site. No other sites I have ever used (and I have used many) have ever not stood behind what I purchased through their site. After speaking with others today and talking about this, they have told me they or someone they knew also had similar issues and not to book lodging on this site. Wish someone would have told me! Hope this prevents others from experiencing this mess. Also, They would charge me a $28.00 "processing fee" for each reservation if I cancelled (most sites don't charge a cancelation fee also!). They need to pay me that plus more for all the inconvenience, extra time, issues with the trip I already planned around these reservations and the increased cost and unavailability of rooms at this point due to closeness to the holiday!
Excellent website about advisoring trips. Last summer I done a trip booked here. Very nice trip it was.
Property # ******* VRBO LOCKED ME OUT OF WEB SITE AFTER REFUND REQUEST made to owner: I will not use VRBO again. Two attempts to leave review as per VRBO Customer Service instructions were DELETED & Owner repeatedly DELETED my messages discussing the issue; No wonder he has only 4&5 star reviews; I have documented all e-mails/messages and taken screen shots of my communication AND DISPUTED CHARGE WITH CC; Complaints made due to the inaccessible low-water way, FAILED GPS signal and no pretrip communication or warning from owner after repeated attempts to contact him. Driving by the abandoned vehicles and mobile home on dirt road in the darkening forest with no GPS, we think we heard dueling guitars. VRBO WILL PROTECT THEIR FEES AT TRAVELERS EXPENSE.
I always get good recommendations about things to do in cities. I don't have much time to travel anymore but when I did Trip Advisor was super helpful! I'd still use it today!
My wife purchased show tickets from Viagogo and was charger over £230 for tickets which are selling for just under £80 including delivery.
Viagogo are impossible to speak to and they do not like having contact with customers.
They promise the earth and deliver ZERO.
To make matters worse they use the worlds worst delivery company UPS wnd I think that they are both fighting for the bottom of the league for customer care.
At this moment Viagogo is winning by a hairsbreadth but this could change
And outstanding resource filled with numerous opportunities for accomodation, and moreover - reviews from travellers from all over the world. Greatly helps to decide which particular place to stop in and what to expect when you come there. All good - thanks!
Very good resource for reviews on hotels and classification...
Advice from here is always on point, fantastic use of crowdsourcing. Great when your visiting new places and need a little advice.
My go-to resource when travelling and even to explore restaurants and other places around my home. TripAdvisor seems to have all the places on Earth covered, so it is really useful for me.
I always start my research at Trip Advisor whenever I am planning to go anywhere. Awesome information can be found for just about anything you want.
Before and during travel I always check hotels, restaurants, what to see and do... on this site. I love to know what to expect. Best site I know of for this.
Answer: Ya, its very easy, you can find your hotel and write as you want. What's your experience with this hotel.
Answer: Its hard to find it. I think you must need to find the correct name of your company or place. Then you can easily find any review
Answer: I don't have a chance about this. I think real reviews with good details published immediately.
